Things that rock, and things that suck
Y'know what rocks? That episode of
"Ranma 1/2" where they perform Romeo & Juliet. So funny, so cute . . . so fulfilling . . . . . love it.
Y'know what sucks? I still haven't had a decent new episode of anime to download for a LONG time now . . . seriously, it's been what, almost a full week! I'm like, going into withdrawal again . . .
Y'know what rocks? "X-Men: Legends II". Well . . . it rocks enough, anyway. The brother bought it and y'know, it's a good pick-up-and-play sorta game. We're enjoying it . . .
Y'know what sucks? I've been checking for a couple days so far and "Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion" STILL hasn't come out yet! Like, in some places here and there it's out, I think . . . but still! I wanna beat up some Romans, damnit! Maybe it'll be out tomorrow . . . better call EB in the morning . . . . .
Y'know what rules? Middle English! Heh . . . today we're all reading bits of the "Alliterative Morte Arthur" in Arthurian Lit' class (we were assigned lines to learn to speak). Should be much fun . . .
Y'know what sucks? Being hundreds and hundreds of pages behind in "Bleak House". Man those reading quizzes are gonna hurt after a while . . . . .
That's about it. Took care of some THAT business yesterday, and REALLY thought about getting on top of writing those last three letters . . . but yeah, that's about it. Also heard that a certain birthday girl was feeling pretty over the past little while, so I'm happy about that too. Alright! Next day remind me to talk about "Goldwing", it's even anime-related.
Random SomeGuy Trivia: My favourite X-Man is Nightcrawler. I think it mostly stems from seeing him for the first time in that old 2-screen, 6 player X-Men arcade game (he had a damn useful mutant power in that game!). But yeah, wisecracking German swashbuckler with a tail . . . doesn't get much better than that!

A lovely day to think about lovely people . . .
For those of you keeping track, this is officially the first time I have ever photoshopped an image for this sort of purpose. Buuut, I figured I'd make an exception today . . . . . heh, I'm probably daring to get myself in trouble, too . . . just this once, though . . . just this once . . .
Have a restful day, boss. We're all wishin' ya the best.

Ah, Naruto is good stuff . . .
Heh, saying something everyone knows I already know . . . how funny. But seriously, that dub seriously isn't THAT bad. The edits still suck, yeah, but the bulk of the show is still there and it's still doing what it needs to do.
Man, I really need to get around to writing this Naruto article that's been in my head for a while now . . .
In other news, I learned they're making new episodes of "Justice League Unlimited". This rocks very hard. I got a hold of the first two eps online and man, that's some good storytelling . . . hehe, they even brought Hawkman into the show! Good times, I tells ya, good times . . .
Man, I need a show to get bad right now . . . I'm running dry of things to watch!
Random SomeGuy Trivia: I have an absolute fascination with comic book superheroes and their stories. I love looking up stuff about Superman, the X-Men, Spider-Man . . . Captain Marvel the other night . . . . .
. . . and yet, I perhaps own maybe . . . two or three trade paperback comics period. I need to fix this some day . . .

Umm . . . I'm gonna say it's because I'm tired . . . . . again . . .
"Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion" comes out next week, not yesterday. I don't get to destroy the remnants of the Roman Empire just yet. D'oh.
On the other hand, Operation FEWP (an acronym which no one has used since the inception of the operation) looks to be a complete success. Pocky hath flowed through the European lands like a river. Woohoo!
Finished that Arthurian Lit' research thingy late last night. I really need to find more staplers in the house. In any case, an easy 10% of marks. Woohoo!
Ultrasound on my neck came back. Doesn't look to be anything of serious nature. Just some lymph, suggesting a viral something-rather. It's pretty much over now and I finished off those gross pills, so woohoo!
I work this afternoon. D'oh.
Watched the "Pink Five" series of Star Wars fanfilms. They're quite funny. Woohoo for that.
Alright, time to start writing those final few letters and get the last of that Pocky out . . . this one's a woohoo for you people.
Random SomeGuy Trivia: I consider myself to be a truly adept button-masher. Not in the sense that I just hit buttons hoping for good results, but in that I can repeatedly press a button very rapidly should the particular game require it.

Changeover's a turd . . . . .
So yeah, at Superstore we're officially in Halloween mode. That doesn't really affect me, though. However, all the tools and stuff do, and those got overhauled big time. So I basically spent yesterday shelving and pegging eight feet of shelf space. On the plus side, it went by really fast.
Then I came home and helped a girl two hours in the future with her essay. Hopefully it works out for her. So again, if anyone ever needs something writing-wise looked over, don't be afraid to ask . . . gotta do 'something' with my English major, ne?
"Operation Flood Europe With Pocky" (or "FEWP", as it is never called) seems to be a rather powerful success. So far I have reports of two out of the three packages arriving safely and happily. Now I just need to hear from Vara . . . . . and then all shall be glorious . . . nyah hah hah . . . . .
I think "Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion" comes out today. I'll hafta pop by the mall on the way home from school . . . . . which reminds me, that "research assignment" is due today . . . I'd best get back to work on that now. Tchau!
Random SomeGuy Trivia: I have a notoriously good long-term memory. I can remember many, many, many details of many, many things from my past (like how page 197 of "Jurassic Park" is the page where Nedry gets disembowled). The only trick is breaking through the short-term memory and making it something I'd actually want to store in my long-term . . . but once it's there, it's pretty much there forever.

Three more days of taking those gross chalky pill-things . . . gick.
Mailed a package off to Oregon the other day. Shouldn't take too long, I hope. Three more to go . . . similar note, we got the burner back so I can finish off burning some things for people! Now if only I had more DVD-Rs to work with . . . not that I don't have enough now, I'm just sayin' . . .
I've decided that I really like the tv show "House". That guy's just awesome. It's good stuff, it really is . . .
Umm . . . no new Naruto to watch just yet (though that should be coming today), no new "Bleach" to watch, no new "Yakitate!! Japan" to watch, no new "Yawara" to watch . . . . . man, I'm out of stuff to watch right now! Boooooo . . . I suppose I could finish rewatching season 2 of "Ranma" . . . hmm . . .
Then again, maybe I should just do schoolwork . . . I've got that too . . .
Random SomeGuy Trivia: My favourite colour is green, though I tend to have a lot of blue-coloured things. I've never really understood that myself . . .

Umm . . .. yeah, I'm reading . . . . . . ish . . .
Had an ultrasound on my neck and a blood test yesterday. Y'know, because I was sick last week. THey probably won't find anything fun anymore, but still, never hurts to check these things out.
For the record, that particular BCBiomedical lab is full of jokers. In front of the line of blood test seats there's a whiteboard with a changing quote. That day it was "What do you call two banana peels? A pair of slippers!" The people themselves must have written it . . . I noticed a similarity with them . . .
"You're not looking forward to this, are you?" she says.
"Well, it's certainly not at the top of my list for things I'd want to do today," I say more or less.
"It's okay, I get your point . . . and soon you're gonna get my point!"
I'm dead serious. She said that. I had no choice but to laugh.
Oh, I got a slightly beat up box of queijadas yesterday. They're tasty, if not a bit crumbly and messy. But very very tasty. I'll have to be sure to buy a ton of 'em if ever I find myself in the Azores . . . . . hehe, so obrigado to my borboleta for those. I love 'em.
So yeah, still chopping at that book . . . I'd best get back to that now. So yeah, that was Monday . . . . .
Random SomeGuy Trivia: Though I haven't done it in a while, I have a clever maneuver for snacking on cereal: you have the box of cereal with you at the couch or wherever, and you have a glass of milk. Basically, you take a handful of the cereal, pop it, and then chase it with a sip of milk. Now that's some good snackin'!

Feelin' pretty good now . . . healthwise, anyway . . .
Yeah, I'm feeling pretty much all better. Even had sushi last night. Yeah . . .
So then all this while I have this wonderful friend who's now goin' through some really rough times now. She's on my mind a lot. I know she'll be okay in the end, but for now, well . . . I wouldn't be much of a "me" if I didn't worry, eh? In any case dearest, you just take it a day at a time and I'll be right along with ya each step of the way . . .
I really don't want to read Bleak House even though I totally have to . . . alright, today I'm gonna try to spend almost all day chopping at that damn book . . . . . it's not gonna happen, but meh.
My mom's getting a new kitchen for her birthday. We're gonna be cooking dinner at my brother's house for three weeks next month. Should be fun. During the day, I just need my hot water and I'll be happy, I think, I hope.
Heh, Lois married Brian . . . . .
A'ight, I'm done. Peace out, kiddies.
Random SomeGuy Trivia: My favourite Ghostbuster is Egon. He was the smart one, yo. And he had glasses that sat halfway down his nose.

Still nothing too interesting to say . . . . . so I'll just rhyme it out . . .
I wish to make apology
for posting not last night,
You see, my own biology
was feeling not too right,
In any case I did not miss
premiere of Naruto,
And though I've heard everyone hiss,
that dub won't break that show,
The opening and ending did
cause slight discomfort, true,
To want the Japanese songs rid
was a strange thing to do,
And yes, they changed many a part
for sake of god knows why,
But still, the show has all the heart
that dares to make me cry,
So yes, to viewers who have seen
the version from the 'net,
You saw the raw, so don't be mean
for those who've not seen yet,
You've all survived much painful dubs
and edits made by loons,
You'll get your disks: undedit' subs
just like your Sailor Moons,
Anime passed, I came to find
a wonderful demo,
That "Age of Empires III" shall wind
up all my time like so,
Just one more month until release
to get the total game,
And then I'm sure I'll give no peace
for studies . . . yeah, I'm lame,
That said, I've still many a page
of Bleak House to chew through,
Damn wordy Dickens might enrage
me . . . so much reading?! Poo!
I care not that people have said
this novel reads quite quick,
behind three hundred pages led
me to start feeling sick,
Oh yeah, I'm feeling much less ill
than from the days before,
There's still some headache but no chill
or fever left in store,
I'd say I'm at ninety percent
or ninety-five in health,
Ya know it takes a lot to dent
This man of rhyming wealth!
So that is basically the gist
of me within two nights,
If anything there was I missed
who cares, I killed the lights.
So off I go, and hope that I'll
return to see some posts,
So with a bow, a wave, and smile
I bid adieu . . . . . . um . . . . . . . . plink kroasts.
Random SomeGuy Trivia:
I think I have obsession
cutting, biting down my nails,
"white nail! You're dead!"
"Too deep! It bled!"
I'm bad, I know, I fails.

Still headachy-ish . . . gonna be fast . . .
Yesterday I finished mailing things to Northern Europe. We'll see when they get there. Now to finish off Those States . . .
Went to school. Wasn't horrible. Wasn't great either. I'm tired of being sick. It's less fun.
Forgot to mention this. A bog nearby is on fire. It's made the sky grey and smoggy. No more burny air smell and stingy eye things, though. I think they've chopped back at the fire pretty well, though, and have been calling in the water bombers less now.
The Age of Empires III demo came out. That game's gonna rock ass.
Naruto's gonna be on YTV tonight. I hope I can catch it and see the damage for myself . . . I'm still optimistic-ish about it, so we'll see. And really, if it's not everything it should be, well . .. I've already seen it, so what does it matter to me?
I still haven't written up those Anime Evolution articles . . . man, what's wrong with me?
Inhaling fumes from sealing wax leaves a bad taste in your throat.
That shall be all.
Random SomeGuy Trivia: I don't wear jewelry or anything. But, I definitely prefer silver over gold. It just works better for me.
