Since Mimmi asked . . .
Most of 'em are grey, though there is one pair that's red . . . and they're all boxers, so I don't wanna hear any cracks about the red ones. I mean, if you HAVE to then that's fine, but I'm just sayin' . . .
The high school year's gonna end soon . . . I think it's very important I try to track down that English teacher guy before it's too late . . .
Mailed that thing to Molly . . . hopefully she gets it soon . . .
Annnnnnd .. . . . . yeah.

Answering questions . . . . .
-"Otogi Zoshi" (or "Otogizoushi") is an anime, though it has a very RPG-ish style story so far.
-"Three Line Theater" was the title of that humour article I sent in, which Red is going to continue (right?)
-I'm (still) playing "Rome: Total War". Very satisfying strategy game, I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Annnnnd . . . . oh, "Garden State" is a pretty nifty movie, yeah. Um . . . . . anything else?

For the record . . . . .
One: It totally didn't rain. Dorks.
Two: Samurai Champloo's licensed and DVDs are out there.
Three: Otogizoushi is like, hardcore fantasy RPG style storytelling. I think I like it very much.
Four: My faction leader died killing the faction leader of the Germans; with that done, the Germans withered away while my faction heir took up the mantle. Two more Gallic territories and I've won it . . . so long that Rome doesn't try anything stupid . . . . .
Five: Red Tigress is definitely helming season two of "Three Line Theater". It's just good that way, yo.
Six: I have a funny feeling that I'm gonna actually go to sleep earlier than 3am tonight/last night. Interesting . . . . .
Alright, no one's online right now, so I guess I'll go watch Garden State now. Ma as-salaamah.

Riiiichmooooond Night Market!!!
So as I type this, I think my stepdad's sister is sleeping in my old room which is now a guest room (crazy how things change, eh?). All I know is that there are extra things in my shower other than the one bar of Irish Spring soap and one bottle of Head & Shoulders (I'm basically using up whatever my brother left behind - I'm cheap like that, yo). Anyway, it should be fun to meet this person, I bet. English people rock, after all.
Ah, so let's see . . . finished "Samurai Champloo", enjoyed it quite a lot. As well, I finally cracked at "Otogi Zoshi" and watched the first couple episodes last morning - seems like a pretty neat show. Cinematography looks good, fights are very old-school, and let's face it, girls with bows rock. Um . . . . I may or may not rewatch that "Lois & Clark" (SUCH a great show) pilot but with the commentary (it's all about the commentaries). Just sayin' . . . and yes, I need to watch "Garden State" before Evil assassinates me (side-thought: for such a violent act, is it ironic or fitting that it starts with two "asses"?).
Umm . . . . . and then . . . oh! I bought figurines that I must now mail off to milady who's deprived of internet these days. I've been meaning to write to her, but y'know, ya gotta send her something nice as well . . . . . so I should get on top of that in the next couple days . . . . . as for all the other correspondence I must take care of, well . . . I need the burner back first. Soon, I promise!
As for the title of the post, the Richmond Night Market, one of the largest (if not THE largest) open air markets in North America. I heard this year the price of CD-Rs has gone down to 100 for $15 . . . and that's Canadian dollars! Granted, half the stuff is probably bootlegged which is bad, but . . . they're gonna have okonomiyaki! It's gonna be great! Anyway, my club's doing another lion dance there, so I'm gonna be there tonight. Should be fun, ne?
[EDIT: Due to fear of rain, the Night Market thing is cancelled . . . again . . . . . dorks.]

Three Line Theater = success!!!
I'm happy. And to think, this one took very little pre-planning to come about. Good times, good times . . . everyone who's read and enjoyed the new article, I thank you. Those of you who have yet to read it . . . hey, get on it, it's short for once!
(Bohahahahah!)
Wow, it's already Saturday . . . have to go back to work . . . . . dang. On the plus side, I finished all of "Lois & Clark: Season One" (SUCH a great show!) and am feeling all angsty-like all over again. Hehe . . . yeah, it's good for the soul. But yes! On to Otogi Zoshi and Garden State!
Other than that . . . . . the piano got moved into the basement which is kinda neat, and . . . I spent all day chatting with Europeans, which is always nice. And . . . yeah, that was Friday.
And now time to go back to work with that ugly-assed orange shirt (worst promotion shirt colour EVER).

Ahh . . . heh, I didn't do squat
Didn't go buy DVDs . . . didn't go visit that English teacher . . . . . I did watch a ton of Lois & Clark, though (SUCH a great show . . .)
Other than that, I've just been fearing that my little brother's gonna move out of the house before me, which would shame me forever. Now, neither of us are even thinking about that so far (as far as I know), but I'm just sayin'. I've got some work ahead of me, yo.
Umm . . . other than that, I sent in a humour article just now, so hopefully that all shows up soon. And Red, I know I jumped the gun because we were gonna work on this together sorta, but I couldn't sit around watching stuff any more and kept working at it . . . but don't worry! This sort of article can be a continuing thing, I think . . . either way, just command me and I'll kiri my hara in repentance. Well . . . . I'll feel really bad, anyway.
Other than that, I got said-brother watching "Full Metal Panic" of his own volition, so I'm smiling inside. "One series at a time . . ."

Wrist hurts from the guitar playing . . . ah well
Fingers are slowly callousing up nicely, so I'm glad.
In other news, I watched the Lois & Clark episodes where Superman gets arrested for using his powers (people think they're causing a heat wave), and the episode with the pheromone perfume (love potion episodes are ALWAYS fun). Yeah, I think the Teri Hatcher of the early '90s is doin' somethin' for me. Good times . . . it's all about the Lois Lane . . . . .
Other than that, I bought some kung-fu pants which rock! They're long, thin, and baggy, and make "whoosh" noises when you kick and sweep and stuff. Heh . . . my sifu saw me going through a form today, watching really intently and stuff - truth be told I was kinda nervous because of it. Then, just as I finished, he said something along the lines of "see? With the pants his kung-fu already looks so much better!" Clearly, it's all about the pants.
Then I got my hair cut. Keep in mind this was the first time I've cut it all 2005. I may or may not take a picture just because . . . in any case, it's cool to not have hair in my eyes anymore and stuff . . . so yes, the Dean Cain Clark Kent hair shall happen maybe in another couple weeks or so, how 'bout? 'Cause it's all about the hair . . .
Other than that, I spent some time chattin' with a post-graduation beauty, an insomniac butterfly, a novelist angel, a romantically complicated little girl, and a Bat-minded red machine. It's all about my girls, no question.
Today I might buy some more DVDs (10% discount from 11am to 1pm), watch the piano get moved into the basement (allegedly so I'll play it more), maybe swing by the high school and try to find that bastard English teacher of mine (he retires this year), and . . . . . I dunno . . . watch more Lois & Clark (the show is love). Heh . . . it's all about the Thursdays.

I want the Dean Cain Clark Kent hairstyle . . .
Decided to do today what I would have done tomorrow . . . . though, in this case, I did yesterday what I would have done today. Either way, I feel great joy knowing that The CNL always manages to get DVDs out before the "official release date".
So anyway, at Shinkiro's worldwide urging I picked up the first disk of "Otogi Zoshi" and shall watch that soon this week.
Also, at the beckoning of my ochibi' I picked up "Garden State", which I believe the parents are currently watching upstairs. I'll get on that soon as well.
Meantimes, I'm gonna be watching "Lois & Clark" season one. No one really urged me to get this except myself (though by my understanding a very awesome girl I know tells me she resembles Teri Hatcher to a degree, so . . . y'know, it doesn't hurt things and all . . .). I gotta tell ya, this show has some of the greatest, most witty writing I've heard in a long time. Heh . . . man, I've missed this show . . .
So that's where I'll be. Fingers are still all fretted out from guitar-stuff two days ago, but maybe it'll be better in the morning. Meantimes, I'm gonna go figure out how to style my hair like Clark Kent . . . not Superman, though, that'd probably require gel or something . . . . .

I'm stealing Panda's post outline . . . I'm shameless like that, yo
So, the official freelance writer of theOtaku recently ranted that she was uncool in every single sense of the word. She's a good liar, I'll admit, but she's still lying. It's your standard-fare "society and its basic whatevers" and whatnot. She makes a fair point and all, that we're told not to care about these things even though we really do and stuff . . . . . but hey, what else can we do, right?
So, in an effort to make Madam Gail feel better (or inadvertantly make her feel worse, to which case I may have to ritually slit my belly in shame), here's a fun list of things I know/do that probably put me on the outside of the mainstream what'sits:
- Ridiculous database of Star Wars knowledge in my head, Expanded Universe included. I mean like I know the name of the pilot that crashed his fighter into the bridge of the Super Star Destroyer (the Executor) in "Return of the Jedi", the make and model of Han Solo's blaster pistol, and the reasons why the fat pilot inadvertantly blew up in "A New Hope". Scary knowledge.
- I've probably spent well over a thousand dollars feeding my on/off hobby of tabletop gaming by Games Workshop. First it was Warhammer 40,000, then Fantasy, then Lord of the Rings. You walk into one of thsoe stores . . . you know you're outside the norms, oh yeah . . .
- Similar thread, I got into "Dungeons and Dragons" gaming for some time during my teen years. I'm talking spending the night at my friend's place playing and stuff. I always wanted to make a good benevolent thief character, but my buddy never held a campaign together long enough for anything to come of it. And yes, I did try DM'ing at one point to moderate success . . . for those of you who don't know what that means, it's probably for the best.
- At the age of 16, I joined up with Scouts Canada because my best friend at the time's girlfriend was in it, so he figured joining up would let him be with her more. I, being the good friend, joined up with him . . . um, yeah . . . . . so yeah, I have one of those scout scarves in one of my drawers now. For the record, they broke up early the next year.
- Did you not see the pile of toy lightsabers in my basement?
- One semi-real word: "backne".
- 75-80% of the music on my computer is of anime or video game nature. You'd be pretty hard pressed to find actual ENGLISH music on there . . . and that wouldn't be weird if some of it was actually Chinese, but no.
- Video games, video games, and video games. I spend a lot of money at the arcade at school during the year, even though even there I feel like an outcast (some of those people are just damn good at what they do, yo).
- I play the piano; this is normal. I started playing more often again because the current music on the music rest says "Cruel Angel's Thesis", "Aeris' Theme", and "Scrapped Princess: Little Wing"; slightly less common.
- I still don't understand why I don't own the DVD of "Transformers: The Movie"
- At work, I chose "Jazz" as my Transformers nickname (my supervisor is Rodimus Prime, for the record).
- Two words: English Major.
- I, well known in my senior years of high school as one of the top essayists in my class, was caught casually picking up a dictionary at a friend's house and flipping through it.
- I know that page 197 of "Jurassic Park" is the page where Nedry (the fat guy) gets spit on, disembowled, and eaten by the spitting dinosaur. I just know this just because.
- No jewelry, no "clubbing" shirts . . . heck, not even hair gel.
- I habitually cut and bite my fingernails even when there's nothing to cut/bite. All of my fingertips are now quite brutal, with all the nails well beyond the quick.
- Cars, sports, new music . . . . . yeah, I'm not really on top of that like everyone else around me. Just sayin' . . .
- Now and then I do the "Axe Gang" dance from "Kung-Fu Hustle" on a whim. Just because.
- I spend more time speaking with people on MSN Messenger who live in different timezones from me than with the friends that live locally.
Oh yeah, and there's the whole anime thing . . . remember, this is a guy who wrote about filler episodes. I'm not even gonna touch the whole "personal life" stuff, though, that's just overkill for this sort of thing.
My little brother broke the guitar pick in half. He got it, so meh. Funny, though . . . . . this was a sidetrack . . .
So yes, madam. If you're still feeling sorry for the state that you're in, don't think I won't continue to deprecate myself further than I already have just so I can crack a bit of a smile on ya. 'Cause I will, being the true Chaucerian at hear . . . . OH! I read Chaucer in the original'ish Middle English and liked it! AND I liked "A Knight's Tale"!
Yeah, that's right. I am quite shameless, ne?

Jerusalem is worth nothing . . . . . everything . . .
Happy Sunday. Um . . . . . .
. . . . . "Lois & Clark - The New Adventures of Superman: Complete Season One" comes out on Tuesday. I'm excited.
. . . . . yeah.
