Okay . . . . . gotta get back into the groove again . . .
Internet problems are still taking time to erode away. Mother problems are still present but more or less contained, so we're thinking happy thoughts. Laziness . . . . . remains.
Okay, I'm GOING to start getting back into putting forth the effort 'round these parts again! I swear! Um . . . uh . . . it'll happen . . . . . it could happen . . . . . erm . . . well, I could mumble like this for a while, so let's skip it.
Instead, knowing the sorts of people that come around here (you know who you are), I shall give you some places to go . . . now, I think this linking should work:
This link is a search result on another BitTorrent site that specialises in asian live-action dramas. As it turns out, there is a fairly new drama called Shinsengumi! (yes, with the exclamation point, as far as I can tell).
http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.php?search=shinsengumi&type=&sort=
I've watched a few episodes so far, and I'm enjoying them. It's neat because it's actually focusing on Kondou Isami, who often seems to get the shaft in the Shinsengumi thingies despite his position. But yeah, Okita looks like a guy but is still as charming as ever. Take a watch if ya like!

Telus is finally figuring themselves out . . .good, good . . . . .
MAN how I've missed having internet the past while! But, I'm back now . . . and I ain't goin' anywhere anymore . . . . . not if I can help it, anyway.
So yeah, my mom is thinking things'll be okay for her too. She's a little miffed at our family doctor for constantly brushing off her headaches as "nothing", and she's been going through the responsible sorts of things like planning ahead, will writing and stuff . . . . . it really is pretty scary stuff when it all boils down, ya know. But, my family's a pretty tough one that's gotten through a lot. As scary as things are, I've got a good feeling that we'll pull through alright . . . I hope . . . . . hmm, maybe I'm not so sure of myself . . . . . ah well, not like there's much we can do at this point but wait it out.
Alright, I'll stop depressing the hell outta ya and update ya on other things. Well, yesterday being May 4th, I bought The Last Samurai and am very happy with that. Also, while I was at the store, I also bought Kingdom Hearts to munch on a bit over the summer. So far I'm quite impressed, and seeing Donald Duck screaming about stuff is always good for a laugh.
But yes, goodness me, I'm missing out on all my BT animes! I'd best get on that now! Hehe . . . catch ya later!

Hey guys, how's it goin'?
Well, you know how they say fortune is fickle? Let me tell ya, this past week, fortune waved her rosy red ass in my face and let one rip . . . . . SO many things have happened this week that it's not even funny!
So, I'm sure you're all wondering where the crap I've been the past while, right? Well, there's this unbelievably disgusting internet worm that's eating its way through all sorts of stuff. It's caused all manner of hell with my ISP (thus making coming online pretty much impossible for the most part), allowed a virus to chew its way through my computer, being all manner of just . . . ick . . . . . and, yeah. According to the internet people this thing is screwing up lots of computers all over British Columbia! So that's why I haven't been online lately (in fact, when it DOES work internet is insanely slow and I'm not even sure if I'm going to be able to post this before it conks out on me again).
But yeah, SO many things have happened! Okay . . . . . last Wednesday I had a get-together with some old high school friends by having a small barbecue at my house. After that, I showed off some scenes from FFX-2 for them and then we proceeded to watch that Jet Li movie Hero in my basement (for the record, when that movie comes out in theaters, you all HAVE to see it!). It was around then when internet started to get weird on me.
The next day or so, my right ear started popping incessantly on me because the tube-thingy in there was all messed up and wasn't equalizing pressure very well. After the weekend, it eased down a bit, so it was probably just congestion related and not infection or anything. So yeah, that's good.
At work I got my first pay-stub, which was neat. It wasn't a whole lot, considering that it's minimum wage, it's union and it's the first time getting paid, so hopefully this month'll be nicer to me.
Meanwhile, internet's still being a bitch . . . . .
And then the most fun news of all . . . . . my mom got MRI'ed and she has some sort of "lesser" cancer in a layer of something around her brain (but not in the brain). On Thursday she's going to get scanned again to make certain what it is exactly, but on the whole people are optimistic in that it's definitely a treatable sort of cancer and can be operated on. So yeah, I get to play with that little bit of news too . . . doesn't that just suck ass? Like, a lot?
So that's what I've been up to this past week or so. I absolutely miss chatting, MSN'ing and posting with all of ya . . . I'm actually quite impressed as to how much I honestly do miss all of you. But, until all this virus/worm hell gets figured out, I'm pretty much 'ess-oh-elle'. Though I don't know when I'll be able to read your comments, I'll be lookin' forward to seein' 'em. So yes, to recap, I'm being held away by things out of my own control which SUCK, because I'm thinkin' that I could use a good chat right about now . . . . . take care, 'kay? I'll be back as soon as I can.

FOUR DOWN!!! Yaha!!!
And Chaucer makes 4. That's that, and I'm happy. I'm done with academics for some months until September, I can relax my brain a bit . . . and I can make some money so next year isn't qute as painful. But yeah, there's not much else to say - I'm exhausted now, and I'm looking forward to this next little while . . .
It's funny, ya know? I'm just thinking about how I started up at this page last summer, and how I awaited/lamented the return to school and all that. Heh . . . I got sentimental just now. How funny.
Aaaaaanyways, our good friend Red Tigress was able to correctly guess yesterday's impossible anime song thingy. For those of you who didn't get it, take a listen . . .

Almost there . . . . . um . . . . . yeah, sanity's gone.
Well, this day taketh the thridde yeere of lernying its leve. In other words, my third year ends today with my Chaucer final. Well, I studied for it for a good chunk of yesterday, and while at school this morning I'm sure I studied there as well (it's still yesterday by my time right now). But yeah, the fact that I'm ALMOST done has left me feeling somewhat twitchy. It's not quite Ranma's Neko-ken, but it's pretty close . . . . . so, um . . . that said . . . . .
TRY TO GUESS WHICH ANIME ENDING THEME THIS IS!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAAA!!!!!
(Badadum dum dammm) bada-ah badadah badahh tahh,
(Badadum dum dammm) bada dah, bawahhhh,
(Badadum dum dammm) bada-ah 'adadah badahh dahh,
(Badadum dum dammm) bada dah, badahhh,
BaaaahDAH, batataah dah, badada ba-ahdah,
Badah dah daaaaaah, badah, badahh dah,
Badada badadah, badada bada badaaaaaah,
BADA-AH DA-AH DAHH,
Dah dah dah bah bada (dah!),
Bada bah bah bahdaaah, baah,
Dah dah dah bah bwahda (dah!),
Dah bah dah bahdaaaaaaah,
(Badadum dum dammm) (BADA DADAH, BADA DAH) . . . . .
Gotta love insanity . . . . . as always, should someone somehow guess this (or not), I shall laugh myself silly.

DES!!! She's alive!!!!!
So, we all remember our old, young friend Dying Ever Slowly, alias Dead To The World, right? Well, if you, like me and about five thousand other people here are still rather worried about her six month hiatus, well, I've got some good news for ya . . . . . that girl e-mailed me.
So, to go over the important parts of the small little message:
- She hasn't been able to get to a computer for a long, long time (didn't say exactly why), so that's why she hasn't been around. She says she's going crazy without a computer.
- She was blown away by the number of comments at her page (heh, go fig). She was surprised that people cared about her absence, but she wasn't able to login to myO to say anything about it (possibly forgotten password) - she feels bad about not being able to get in to do anything about the comments.
- She really misses being able to talk with everyone.
- She jests that she's not going to get another computer until she goes to college or something . . . heh . . . . . wait, that's not funny at all . . .
- In a nutshell, she's still here and she doesn't want us to worry about her (I suppose we could try that).
- We are to not forget about her.
So yeah, I hope this is welcome news to all you old hands around these places who were wondering about our Pocky-chomping Gravitation-otaku. As for you not-so-old hands around here, well . . . she's a great gal that you'd all love if you had the chance. So, may she find another computer, remember her passwords, and . . . yeah. So yeah, we have to stop worrying a little, savvy? It's her wish, after all . . .

Three Down, One To Go . . . . .
Wow, that was one mean Latin final yesterday . . . . . really mean . . . . . really really mean . . . . .
Probably my own fault for not studying enough. Ah well . . . but yeah, yesterday I got to school about 4 hours before the exam, bought a cup of coffee with a defective lid (dripping out the side of it - very troublesome), bought my cookie, and got down to some studying in one of the student spaces.
Granted, while I was studying I was also practicing my Futae no Kiwami technique on my small Latin dictionary, but that's a moot point.
So yes, to sum up, in my entire educational career, I have never had an easy Latin final. Poopie much so. I'll just have to make sure to try harder for English (ooh, I gotta relearn how to read Middle English . . . . . 'taku mou . . . . .

Again, I'm not studying . . .
Latin tomorrow . . . should be studying tonight (Wednesday evening as I write, though not anymore). But yeah, languages are tricky, thus, I should REALLY hunker down . . . . . um . . . . . yeah, this isn't working . . .
So let's see . . . people in my house are investing in DVDs like mad right now! Some good, some bad . . . and all distracting. Heh heh heh . . . . . ah, I'm so dead . . .
So yeah, here's what I'm thinkin' . . .
SNL: Best Of . . .: my insane brother buys the disks for Chris Farley, Will Ferrell, AND Mike Myers! How he has all this money, I don't know! but, fun enough disks to kill some time. Will Ferrell is a master, as always.
Master and Commander: Someone bought the fancy collector-ish box with some neat stuff on the second disk (and right now, the spelling of the word "disk" is looking weird to me - strange, huh?). No commentary on the actual movie, so I'm sad . . . . . oh, the movie's insanely cool, by the way. Now, I can see why people wouldn't like it because it is slow a lot of the time and the ending isn't a complete ending per se. But, fact is, ever since watching the Horatio Hornblower movies on A&E, I've rather enjoyed Napoleonic naval stuffs very much. I find the "life" on the ship to be utterly fascinating, so that's where my interest in it lay. On the other hand . . . . .
Timeline: Now, there are two types of people who can watch this movie. The first is the kind who will watch this movie, see its many, many, many faults for what they are, and proceed to go onto the internet and hyperbolize about how it was the worst movie they have ever seen in their lives, and that it wasted 2 hours of the aforementioned lives, etc. etc. etc.. Luckily, I'm not one of those. I'm the kind of person who watches the movie, sees its many, many, many faults for what they are, and laugh because they are indeed many and close in between.
What can I say, I like bad movies almost as much as the good ones. Trebuchets are cool no matter what movie they're in, though . . .
And now, since I still have no interest in studying (I am SO bad with that), I shall finally get around to some pages! See ya then. Sige!

Two Down, Two to Go . . . . .
Let me tell ya something: when a teacher gives you a handout that has ALL the exam questions on it and then you plan out EXACTLY what you're going to write about beforehand, you kinda don't worry about things. In fact, you get kinda bored while you wait for the blasted exam time to finally come around.
Needless to say, I got to campus WAY too early yesterday. I figured since I hadn't studied all too much during the week for Film class, I should get there early. So, I got to campus about three hours before the exam. And, as it turns out, after reading through your two pages of self-written exam outlines about five times over, one gets kinda tired of studying. But, on the plus side, when the time finally came to take the blasted test, I was able to get through it pretty well. So unless I just planned it out stupidly, I just might have smoked this course. Yeah, as it turns out, if you take a film course, you'll do really well just so long that you aren't taking it "so you can watch movies in school" - if you don't take the course as a joke, you will do well. Simple as that.
Oh, and the vending machine was nice today. I got my chocolate cookie.
Um, aside from the finals, I finally saw Kill Bill which I absolutely adored (hooray for the Wilhelm Scream!) and . . . yeah. Good times. I haven't been around to everyone's pages lately, and for that I shall apologize, as always. I'll get on that soon, I promise. In any case, give me a week and I'll have all the time in the world for you all, savvy?

Well, if SHE'S gonna spoil the mystery . . . . .
So yeah, the mystery congratulations of the other day went to Shanny . . . or, as the case is now, Mrs. Shanny. So while we all trudge away at school or work or whatnot for the next week, she'll be kickin' it in the sand and sun with her man, a new last name, and fewer immediate worries. Well, can't say I'm not completely envious . . . kinda . . . . .
So yeah, we've got a week to flood her with messages and stuff! Everyone be sure to pop by her page and embarass her and such. As always, should something horribly wrong come out of this, I shall take full responsibility . . . but yeah! Let's all show her how freakishly surprising we can be, ne?
(This is the part where my face morphs into something semi-catlike, right?)
