Holy Crap!!!
So, last night they showed episodes 47 and 48 of Inuyasha . . . . . ya know, the ones where Naraku tries to kill Kikyo, and then she runs into Inuyasha, and then Kagome comes back to see them together . . . then she goes back home all depressed and then she makes up her mind about particular things . . . . .
HOLY CRAP!!! Those were perhaps the most angsty episodes of ANYTHING I had seen for a long, long time! And this is coming from a guy who got his start with anime with Love Hina and had just finished the Ranma 1/2 manga earlier in the week! Seriously! I haven't whimpered into the couch like I did last night EVER before! It was unbelievably heart-rending!
And then of course there was that melodic version of the Inuyasha-Kagome song playing the whole time . . . . .
But holy crap!!!

You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best . . .
So, how was St. Patty's Day for everyone? I actually changed into a green shirt this morning after listening to the radio (I was originally planning on wearing a grey one, you see). But yeah, after my swing dancing thing, I went to a thing at school - needless to say, I'm rather bouncy as I type (silly me, huh?)
Funny story, actually . . . someone I kinda knew tried to get me all messed up, and actually bought me a couple of drinks. Well, I still had an hour to get back home at a decent time (classes tomorrow, after all), so while he was getting a third for everyone, I just hauled ass.
Let this be a lesson to you all: never let people make you do stuff you don't want to, savvy?
So let's see . . . other news . . . . . oh!
I was actually gonna ask this last post, but I forgot . . . with my new intro, I had to get back into character for those three weirdos, Cream, Nougat, and 'Mel.
What I was wondering was . . . how do you guys picture those three? I mean, my personal style of writing is that I intentionally leave a lot of physical description out so the reader can play around with them . . . . . so what do you guys see Cream and Nougat (and 'Mel!) as looking like?
Alright, I gotta go drink some more water . . . being bouncy complicates the evening, ya know . . . or not . . . . . eheh . . .

Heehee! I'm procrastinating! Aaahhh!!!
Allow me to stress again: when it comes to study habits, I am a TERRIBLE role-model. Ya dig?
So yeah, it's about 11pm, Monday night for me. This film paper is due tomorrow (or this, as it may be) morning and I still have about a thousand words to go. Fun, huh?
Yeah, gettin' back into the groove of things . . . these next couple weeks are gonna be crazy paper weeks . . . . . ick . . .
But, after I get my degree, it'll all be worth it, right?
. . . . . . . . . . . right?
Heh . . . . . hey, maybe I'll post the theme song to GTO some time! How would you guys like that?
[For the record, I finished before 1:30am. Kids, don't EVER let yourself fall into situations like this! G'night!]

Fare thee well, Viggo . . . welcome Takashi!
I figured the new avatar above'd be as good as any for my new face around these parts . . .
For those of you other than Shanny and Molly (heh), that is the live-action version of the Great Teacher Onizuka as played by Takashi Sorimachi. Ain't he somethin'?

Weekend Update
Minna-san! Oi, konnichiwa!
Depending on how you wanna look at it, I've been either really busy or really lazy . . . actually, it's not so much that as it was that I really can't decide whether to classify it as a good week or a bad week . . . well, I'll give ya the skinny . . . . . this'll probably be long - you've been warned.
The Bad:
I was planning on getting so much sleep this week! Did it happen? Erm . . . not exactly . . . spent many a morning tired as hell, yeah. Tuesday night was supposed to be a Blues Swing class, but either it was cancelled or something, because no one was there (this is, of course, after travelling an hour out to campus and everything . . .).
On Wednesday, it was a late-moving morning, plus I found out (way too late) that my brother wasn't going to class in the morning; thus, the morning carpool wasn't happening. As I hauled my ass out the door to catch a MUCH later bus, I ran through spider-thread, too . . . . . by the time I got to school, I was so tired, physically and mentally, that I didn't even go to class . . . . . oh, cherry on top that day? High schoolers were visiting the campus, so my regular student lounge area was being taken up . . .
Thursday was another late morning, where I hauled ass down the hill to catch the bus (if I had stopped running even a little bit, I would have missed it).
Friday, well . . . my bro was up writing a paper or something, so he only got 3 hours of sleep. Thus, it was in all our best interests if I drove that morning (first time ever driving to school for classes, mind you). So yeah, him and the other guy in our carpool napped while I drove. Needless to say, I was falling asleep dramatically in History that morning . . . crappy . . . . . I spent much of the rest of the day just thinking about stuff. Actually, I spent much of Thursday thinking about stuff too . . . anyway, I was just thinking about myself. And whenever I do that, well . . . it's not a good thing . . . . .
The Good:
Last week, my film class watched The Day The Earth Stood Still, which made my Tuesday, I think (that's the "klaatu, barada, nikto" movie). Very enjoyable. Granted, I was a touch sleepy from staying up a little late the night previous, but that's okay. Likewise, I ran into "The Girl" who is still looking as wonderful as ever . . . I mean, aside from when she walked into a low-hanging twig and poked herself in the forehead . . . . . but I looked much worse, I'm sure . . .
On Wednesday, after my crummy morning, I sought out a Biochem friend of mine. She and a couple other guys were actually thinking about taking their break by walking down to the beach around campus and got me to come with. Well, there were a lot of wooden stairs leading down, and my friend kinda didn't like 'em . . . thus, I spent much of the walk down holding the top of her backpack - ya know, just in case. Then, of course, after walking around the beach (dead seagull, ew), we got to go back up the stairs again . . . yeah, I had to help push her up the stairs too . . . good fun . . . . .
Ran into another old friend after they went to class (if you're keeping score, this person I ran into was "Gandalf" from the LotR outing in December). So, we're eatin' chattin' . . . . . suddenly, she goes, "oh yeah, I still owe you money for LotR." And just like that, I had 9 more bucks in my pocket. What a nice group of people I know, huh? Well . . . maybe the females . . . . . heh . . .
Friday, aside from all that blasted thinking (I am getting somewhat jaded about stuff right now - not good, I tell ya . . .), Latin was cancelled because my prof wanted to go to some other lecture. So yeah, I went home earlier yesterday.
Um . . . other than that, I've been reading a LOT of the Ranma manga, which is great, and I've been watching this and that. My friend "Faramir" made me download some Korean movie, which wasn't too bad (he said it was like "anime, but with real people"). Annnnnd . . . . . yeah.
I'm thinking I might depose Aragorn Elessar up in the corner there with someone new . . . he's had his time in the sun, ya know.
But it is not this day . . . . .
Heh . . . later guys.

Alright, I'll put you guys out of your misery . . . . .
I suppose I can still laugh myself silly at how hard you all tried . . . but yeah, no one got it . . . . .
Here's what it really was . . .

I'm feeling insane again . . . . .
See if anyone can figure out what the hell anime theme I'm trying to convey here . . . alright, I'll say that it's not an opening or ending, just a regular "main" theme that generally gets used during the show.
(Bam, bada dam, dam, bada dam, dam, bam, bada dam, dam, bada dam dam . . .)
BadadadaDaaah, badaDaaaah, badaDaaah, badaDaaaah,
badaBah badaDaaah, badadah badaDaaaaah(baaah, badadaah),
BadadadaDaaah, badaDaaaah, badaDaaah, badaDaaaah,
badaBah badaBaaah, badada bah baaaah, Baaaah,
Baaaah, badabaaaaah(Baam Bam Baaaam)
Badada da badada daaah(bah WAaaah bada daah)
Bah, badadaah dah
Baaah, badabaaah, badadaaaaah badada dada daah(badada dah)
Dada daaah, bada Dat Dah, dat Daaaah, bada Dat!
BadadadaDaaah, badaDaaaah, badaDaaah . . . . .
[DAY +1 CLUE!!!!!] Alright, the clue to narrowing this down is . . .
This show got picked up by the Canadian television network YTV this fall, so it's pretty fresh in my mind - though it's definitely already had plenty of time over at CN by now . . .
If ANYONE gets this, I will laugh myself silly . . . . . gambatte ne!

New week . . . let's try not to overdo it . . .
Well, I slept a lot over the weekend. A whole lot. I slept in on Sunday morning, even, so when I went to kung-fu, I found out a few people had already come and gone (I was the only one with a kep that morning . . . oops . . . . .). But yeah, the 60 year old raccoon's got his "normal" tired, bloodshot eyes back - less darkness and baggage. Just good old-fashioned redness . . . . .
Yes, I suck. I realise that.
In other news, I got a new toy in my basement: my bro bought an external DVD burner for the main computer and his laptop. Though the first time I tried it, the burn failed (damnit), it does go a lot faster than the old 4x burner. That, and it looks cooler (it's all oval-ish! Very sleek and stylish indeed).
And, before I think about heading off because I'm gonna make myself go to bed early this night . . . . . oh yeah! Troy! New trailer!
http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/troy.html
So, I'm thinkin' this movie's gonna rock ass . . . that's probably just me, though . . . . . alright, time to make my rounds - peace!

Ah, weekend . . . . .
So, looking at myself in the mirror tonight/yesterday, I can't help but notice how much my face resembles a 60 year old raccoon's face . . . yeah, the lack of sleep is gettin' to me big time. I mean, I'm falling asleep in my morning class, I'm taking extra long naps despite the horror it'll do to my hair for the rest of the day, and I've more or less just had less energy for the week and stuff . . . icky, 'tis.
So yeah, I've got insane baggies under my eyes, along with these dark, dark rings . . . oh, and the itchiness! I think Claritin season's coming around again - I'm getting sneezy and stuffy more now, but because of the itchy eyes, I don't think it's sickness anymore . . . so yeah, ick.
On a happier note, there has been a great insurgence of DVDs in my home this week. My brother bought School of Rock, which was an absolutely wonderful movie (especially when considering that Jack Black refrains from cursing the WHOLE time!). And then on Thursday, I just spent a lot of money . . .
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Disk 1(!!!) was FINALLY in at a store! Granted, it costed about 10 bucks more than at the other place I usually go to, but . . . I've been trying to find that first disk for months! Aside from that, I also bought a cheap $9 DVD of King of Comedy (Chinese movie I think I ranted about earlier this week). I have subtitles now, so I'm happy - I can now understand EVERYTHING they say! Yippie!
And then, aside from that, I picked up more CD-Rs. Now I can clean off some disk space and start getting PMK now! Uosh! So yeah, that was about $80 bucks spent that day; essentially, I'm not allowed to spend money for the rest of the month now.
Well, I think I wanna get rid of those elderly raccoon eyes now, so it's bedtime! Ja matte ne!
