   What an exhausting week . . . . .
Just checking in again before I go to bed. Now, for all you people who've just started driving, or have been driving for a while now, I'm gonna give you a bit of advice: if it's not your car in the sense that you paid for it, you gotta tell people if you scratch it, okay?

Gist of the parable: I scratched the car last week in a tight-fitting parkade last week, and never got around to telling the elders about it. Of course, the lease on the car is almost up, so we need to return it soon. Then again, you don't want to return a scratched car back to a dealership, because they'll charge big money on ya . . . . . yeah, they weren't too happy . . .

So in effect, I've spent the past little while since Wednesday onwards either working or playing "out-of-towner-show-'er-arounder".

Wednesday, I took her around to places to see things and eat stuff. Then I went home and got chewed out for everything I wasn't doing for myself like finding my scholarship trust account thingy, taking life seriously, and of course, telling people about the scratch.

Thursday, I worked for the better part of the day (which was hell), got a surprise visit from the elders and switched the scratched car with the new car (oh yeah, we got a new car. I'll talk about that some other time, maybe).

After work, I got called by my younger brother telling me the elders don't want me driving around in an expensive new car downtown and stuff, so I had to drive home and switch it with an older one.
I then picked up "Out-of-Towner #2" and we went to a jazz club for dinner.

Then I came home nice and tired. Then the younger brother gave me the gist of the elder's chewing-out for today, because it seems I'm not taking this car business seriously and that I'm not responsible and stuff. Now, he may have added his own bits too, but for the most part it was the elder's words.

So yeah, spend a fun day/evening with someone and see some sights . . . and then come home to hear about what a disappointment you are. Good fun, ne?

(For the most part, what they say is true, and I most likely am not taking things seriously enough or doing all the right things . . . . . it is making falling asleep a little more interesting these days though, I gotta say . . .)
