2005, eh?
So, I thought now was as good a time as any to post today. Right now it's 4am, Pacific Standard, and my guests have just now left the house tired and more or less sobered up.
Essentially the six of us: myself, "Boromir", "Legolas", . . . . . hehe, just now someone called the house because she left a CD in my house - poor stepdad who answered the phone as well . . . . . anyway, it was "Pippin", "Faramir", and . . . we'll call this girl "Eowyn", and they got here first. Then shortly afterwards, "Legolas" came and much later afterwards, so did "Boromir". If you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's cool - I just like to code-name my friends, is all.
So yeah, they came over with some beers and champagne, we watched the new stuff on the first disk of extended RotK (go fig), watched a bit of New Year's whatevers on TV (at one point I was singing along with Amy Lee . . .) . . . then countdown, then generic-brand champagne (very tasty drink after drinking a couple beers I must say [though only if you're of age, mind you]). Then we played some video games, watched whatever stupid videos I happened to have on my computer at the time, and then watched Mulan for whatever reason. In any case, "Boromir" was asleep on the couch for most of it (dude works a LOT these days) . . . but yeah, we were all playing around 'til about 4am.
Basement's still a bit of a mess, but I'll clean it up tomorrow. I'm ridiculously sleepy right now . . . heh, cheers to 2005, everyone. See ya in the new year!
