Should be reading my readings . . . . .
Instead I'm watching the last of the first box of GTO and basically doing nothing . . . . d'oh.
Oh, funny/crazy/scary story! So, for the past week or so my cordless mouse has been running on low battery. Unfortunately, Superstore was sold out of the big 20-packs of Energizers on Sunday, so I held off.
Today, after cycling another pair of already-dead batteries through the mouse, just trying to get usefulness out of it for another little while - while I was playing a game, no less - something shocking happened. SNAP! Sizzle . . .
Yeah, a battery popped in my mouse while I was using it. Scared the hell out of my mom, concerned the heck out of me. So yeah, quickly fish the batteries out, mop up whatever battery acid had leaked about . . . I imagined it wouldn't be good for the mouse to have that dripping around, y'know? So yeah, needless to say I cycled a different pair of batteries into it . . . . .
While I was in the washroom, my mom calls me.
"The mouse made that noise again . . ." Again, I fished out the batteries, checked for leaking acid (not so much this time . . .). In any case, I bought new ones today. Just an 8-pack, but it should be alright . . .
Other than that, I sent a package on its way to eventually over the Atlantic, and another one truckin' its way into the American midwest. Hope those arrive soon.
There's a lion dance performance today around noon. I haven't done one of these in a while because of work and vacation and stuff. I hope I don't sleep in and miss it . . . they'll be upset with me if I do, I'd bet . . .
That said . . . anyone got good ideas for trivia? It's taking me longer and longer to think of good ones these days . . . . . 'til then, then.
Random SomeGuy Trivia: I brush my teeth with Crest "Cavity Protection" toothpaste. It's not so much that I prefer it, it just happens to be what was in the upstairs bathroom drawer when I finally moved into the basement. And now, since it's just me using one tube all by myself, it's lasted for a very long time. I doubt I'm even past halfway at the moment.
