   Still alive . . . well, more or less . . . . .
You'll have to excuse the absence. It seems I suddenly came down with a rather debilitating illness. Kind of a funny story, actually . . .
So on Monday, I still had this swollen gland in my neck and it was tender, so I went to a doctor to have it checked out. I also had a bit of a headache, so I figured I'd ask about that too. Anyway, he asked me the regular questions. Y'know, "how's your weight?" "appetite?" "throat hurt?" Pretty much all of those I said no.

Later that night, I suffered a HUGE chill. I was shivering really bad and stuff, and took a hot shower to warm up before going to bed. That helped for a while . . . . . then it exploded into an all-out fever. My body temperature was completely outta whack. I'd lie in bed, and my chest would get really hot though my arms were really cold; my feet would be freezing but my back would be sweating. All the while I had a drilling headache . . . from about midnight to almost 3am I was pretty much travelling out of my room from couch to guestroom to couch trying to find a better place to sleep . . . . . in any case I finally took a couple more Tylenol, and I was able to rest a bit better . . . . but damn, those were like, the longest 3 hours ever - heh, I seriously considered waking someone up to take me to the emergency room or something . . .

Anyway, Tuesday I stayed home instead of going to class (sucky), and went to another doctor with "new" information about myself. He gave me a prescription. Hopefully that does something for me soon. Right now I still feel a bit woozy and headachy . . . oh, and maybe a bit nauseous though nothing's come up yet. But we'll see, I guess . . . . . at least my appetite's sorta come back . . . I'm getting hungry, in any case . . . actually eating might be something else . . .

Umm, lessee . . . . . well, since I was home for a lot, I finished watching all of "Infinite Ryvius". Very good series. People refer to it as "Lord of the Flies in space" and it makes sense - basically, young students on a space station suffer a crisis and escape to a hidden space ship. Then they have to survive on their own for months. It's got some neat sci-fi stuff in there, along with very stylish space fighting (lotsa submarine-type stuff). But yeah, the real meat of this series is the character interactions and conflicts. And there are a LOT of characters in this show. Funny thing, though, is that you actually get to know just about all of them really well, despite that. Not a bad show at all . . . music kinda isn't so good, but the bulk of the show rocks . . .

. . . oh yeah, and for you girls who like to see bishis getting tortured and beat up, you'll definitely like this one. Them boys are getting pummeled like there's no tomorrow . . .

Along with that, I also 'acquired' "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children". Goes without saying, it's pretty. Really pretty. Can't wait to buy it in the holiday season. Oh, and go fig, I almost cried every time Aeris showed up on screen . . . I'm sappy like that, yo.

Umm . . . . . if all goes well, I might be able to mail off some more packages today. Another one or two over the Atlantic (heh, it just kinda happened that way), and . . . hmm . . . a couple more relatively closer peoples, maybe. Wish me luck!

And with that, I'm now off to eat some more Tylenol.

Heh . . . . . so I hear this September happens to be a pretty special September . . . interesting, nya?
