Happy Achy Year of the Dog!
If anyone didn't get the whole joke with my last post, go check out www.imdb.com and snoop around at some movie info of any movie you can think of.
So yeah, I'm a couple days late now, but Goong Hay Faat Choy! I hope everyone has a good year with tons of good luck and stuff.
As for me, I'm just sore. Heh . . . really sore. On Sunday we did the Lion and Dragon dance stuff at one of the malls for the stage show like we do every year. As always, there were three levels of government in the audience who came up to say some words (the Mayor, the Member of Parliament, and . . . some other dude). THen we did our thing, did it quite well as always (I'm starting to appreciate more and more that my club is really, really good at lion dancing), and I didn't step on the dragon and die. Another plus.
So yeah, after that performance, we all killed some time until the evening, when we did another good luck thingy in front of the casino . . . and it was WINDY and cold outside! We almost didn't make it . . . . . but, we did . . . and then we packed up and headed off to ANOTHER casino to do the same thing again! Yeah, I think other people are beginning to appreciate more and more that our club is really, really good at lion and dragon).
Oh yeah, yesterday we performed that act from "Epicoene". It was a total train-wreck as we all expected, but it was fun so we don't mind. And again, with only 2 weeks to prepare, it could have been much worse, especially considering how many snags we hit (work, classes, personal emergencies . . .). But yes, we're done and we're happy.
Oh! While killing time before the first casino show, I went to Future Shop and browsed around. I picked up "Bend it like Beckham" because it was $10 and I'd been planning on getting that for a while, I picked up "Brothers in Arms" because it was only $20 and I'd been planning on getting that for a very long while (that game's got a neat style to it, even if it is friggin' hard to really pick up), and . . . I got "The Aristocrats"! Gotta tell ya, Bob Saget is a dirrrty dirty, vulgar man. You can only see him as Danny Tanner, or the host of "America's Funniest Home Videos" . . . but then he tells his rendition of "the world's funniest joke" and well . . . then he goes "they all start going down on each other in all different configurations...69's 29's, 'cause the kids are young it's 9..."
So yeah, if you're not easily offended (and are over 17), I say check it out, it's good for grins.
I'm feeling lazy so I'm not doing trivia. You can look down a post for that if you really want. Nighty!
