Schni Schna Schnappi, Schnappi Schnappi Schnapp!
Alright, so the subject title is actually German and not Dutch. It's an inside joke, live with it.

I've a question to ask you all: how many of you know some words in Japanese? Alright, next question: how many of you took Japanese in high school? Not bad, not bad . . . . . last question: how many of you are currently studying or intend to study Japanese as a university major, more or less?

Themaris is. She was even told to memorize hiragana before the first class. This, friends, is the epitome of hardcore.

Themaris - formerly Shinigami, originally Mariska - may very well put us all to shame. Though I cannot verify right this very minute exactly how much Japanese she knows, or how many anime she's seen, or how many boxes of Pocky she has eaten in a lifetime, I do know that she is in perhaps the most productive place possible to really otaku it up. Case in point: y'know how we all kinda know otaku here and there, online or maybe a few at school and stuff? She goes to school where her ENTIRE FACULTY are otaku!

Exaggeration? Probably . . . not important, though . . .

While on the subject of her education . . . her university is a freakin' castle! Like, seriously, a castle-turned-school . . . kinda like Hogwarts, but more Dutch people. If the castle wasn't cool enough, from what I understand the Asian Studies department's primary building is called "The Armoury" . . . . . again, the place used to be a freakin' castle! Jealous much? You'd better be.

But who cares about school? Let's talk about this girl herself a bit more. Maris' is damn smart for one. Remember that article I wrote where I basically stated that you can't learn a language from just television and subtitles? Apparently this girl learned English from just television and subtitles . . . and y'know, being me, I sometimes scan her messages when we chat - heh, ya just can't find anything wrong with her English. Like, at all. She's just too good . . .

She has a kitten named Odin. That in itself deserves props, being that I often hear about all the capers that guy gets into during the days and nights, jumping across keyboards and stuff. And come on, naming a cat after the one-eyed king of the gods is just cool.

She got me hooked on "Corpse Bride". That movie rules. Heh, funny enough, I was chatting with her right before I saw it for the first time ever - she was raving about it, I quickly checked an online TV schedule, and found out the last showing for a long time was gonna happen at about 3:15am or something . . . . . granted, I had to leave the conversation once that hit, but she was quite supportive of it. And now I have a new movie I need to buy.

As a child, when she and her brother played "A-Team", she would be Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck - the good looking conman. Playing "A-Team" as a child period instantly makes for coolness.

She's good at slyly skirting around bedroom talk. We've had too many conversations that just sorta drift into that direction . . . hehe, can't help it, she brings it out in me . . . . . I think it's something about Europeans in general . . .

She often feels that I think too highly of her or some other stupid thing like that. But it's all true; she's intelligent, endearing, a very serious gamer, taller than me, my most favourite Dutch girl in the entire world, and well . . . kind of addictive. A lotta people don't really know her too well these days, but y'know, there's just something about her . . . whenever I see her online, I have to chat with her, know how she and her cat are doing . . . . . she's very special to me, I'll just say.

Got that, beautiful? If so, this is where you go "dawwwwww".
