My brother said to call you 'Florida-Girl', so . . .
. . . he saw the subject header, smiled and went "sweet."
Ah, Miss Rebecky, ojou-chan, my little lady, charter member of THAT and part of its PRIMA PVELLARVM TRIVM . . . . . you started all this insanity. Now it's your turn.
Everyone else has already talked about how brilliantly sweet you are, and how supportive and protective of your friends you are - between us, I still recall that you once stated that I had a hero complex and you were a mother hen. It's very easy to resort to these parts to talk about why 'Beck is so gosh darn cool . . . . . I've got some other reasons, though . . .
Now, I don't know HOW she does this . . . but she practically has the carbon copy duplicate of all my tastes! I can't count how many times I or someone else has made some powerfully obscure reference to something and she'd get it! Anything from "The Princess Bride" to "The Seven Samurai" to "Gendou.com" to "the 4th Peacemaker Kurogane DVD" to "The Aeneid" to "Firefly" to "The Subtle Knife" to "Neil Gaiman", to "Excel Saga" to "bokken vibrators" (don't ask). Sometimes I'll just say something out of thin air and she'll just go "Oh! I love that song!" It's like magic.
Wanna know what else is magic? Her writings. She's actually finished her suspense novel, I believe. Before the novel, though, there was fanfiction and other such things. And she's good at it. In fact, there was this one time when she was quite young that she both wrote well AND wrote ironically . . .
. . . now, I think it drives her nuts that I keep bringing this up as allegedly it embarasses her that she did in fact write it back in ninth grade, but . . . . .
"A New Xman", starring Helena Gray continues to be a source of absolute joy in my heart. It was her anti-Mary Sue story. It was so cute and funny, I loved it to pieces even though she'd rather wish it was gone forever, I bet. But it shall NEVER be forgotten! Never!
And, while I'm already on the subject of embarassing my adorable little lady, here's a snippet of messenger chat that'll just make ya smile . . . she's the one in bold:
"I am the purest. I win. By default."
"You have sex in your screen name. -_-;"
"I don't know, I might be purer."
"Ohhhhhhhhh yeah."
"Nevermind that I write gay love."
"haha. YOU LOSE. DEFAULT."
"That doesn't necessarily mean dirtier."
"Haha 'Secret loooooovaers'."
"Refinement question: do you write penetration?"
"woah there nellie"
"*sweeping bow* Of the anal variety. *throws self from cliff*"
"Mm . . . there goes that theory, then."
If that doesn't do it, she's been to Japan already. And she took Latin in high school. Thus, she wins. By DEFAULT.
And thus, my ultra-sweet ojou-chan is quite cool. Savvy?
