   Maritimes . . . I bet she talks funny . . . . .
I feel as though a lot of different emotions stir up when I think about today's honoured member. From the land of fish people, weighing in at one hundred and eighty-five staplers, the undisputed New Brunswicker of the siiiiiiiite . . . Beyblader!

She's another one of those people who've been around myO since the very beginning, and was more or less one of the first people I ever met around these parts. Actually, it's kinda funny when I think back to it all . . . as expected in those days, I liked to blow out of proportion the fact that she was another Canadian on the site. It was somethin' to go by, being that the site was still in the early stages of developing the unwritten format of "hi cool site ill add u as a friend come visit me bye" . . . heh, we had to think harder back then.

'Blader - alias Cody - is . . . a very passionate sort of girl. Of most things I see her do, she commits herself into the effort strong and fast, be it web/page design, AMV creation, or even just getting around to pages and commenting. Even as an anime otaku, she's holding her own quite well; she has a very broad sense of what's current in anime, and keeps up with all the latest shows that all otaku should have seen at least a bit of by this point (for the record, I shall state that I still have yet to see "Fruits Basket", though it is fairly high up on the list).

Now, I know by now I'm probably losing at least a few of you by now, and I could understand why. I gotta say, as your group of online friends grows, inevitably some pretty messed up things start happening - I'm talking conflict on interests big time! It's tough when you have a confrontation between "the X-Men" on one side and "The Avengers" on the other while you yourself get to be Hank "Beast" McCoy. And sure, though Beast may ultimately lean towards the X-Men more than the Avengers due to history and the like, he still hates being in that position nonetheless. This is a little tricky to even bring up, being that this doesn't make any of us seem all too cool (especially for me, who's using comic book analogies no one probably gets save Red who isn't here).

Throughout all those conflicts, though, I'll say this: Cody's heart has always been in the right place. The outcome may not have always turned out the way everyone wanted, but her intentions have never been bad in the traditional sense. That's my thoughts on her, and you'll all just hafta live with it somehow, yo.

Now it's true that Miss 'Blader does live off in the land of funny-talking people . . . . . but meh, what can ya do? I suppose . . . at least she isn't in Toronto?
(Badum-ch!)

And now I get booed off the stage . . . anyways, kudos, 'Blader!
