Newness? No-ness...

Lys (can I call you that for the sake of shortness or is it rude???): Yeah, I work late at my job. 12 hour shift from 6pm - 6am, good stuff.

Soo.... yeah no wallpapers. But I was checking a friend's dA upload... it's a wolf plush but alas for me it reminded me of a badger. This reminded me that we once had a badger in the backyard and that I snapped a couple shots of him. But alas! For the world has not seen these pictures yet due to the fact I'd forgotten I had them! So what did I do? I grabbed the action shot, trimmed it, and slammed it onto dA.

It's 3:30 AM.... where are you?

I am at work, yes still. Some may ask "How does he get away with blogging at work?" (yes I did finally absolve to allowing myself to call this a blog even though I don't fully use it for that).

The answer is simple... I don't have anything else to do right now. Oh yes I do have some homework and personal projects... but the homework can wait and I lack the tools for the personal projects.

So here I sit... looking at thousands upon thousands of colored light pixels and feeling my face every 5 minutes to see how much my facial hair has grown...


*sigh* homework... it will have to be done eventually... stupid "remove all the feeling and point from that glorious act of textual expression" class... oh well.

Maybe I can escape into playing Fire Emblem or trying once again to learn Japanese.... oh so many projects.

Told ya i'd do it!

Ok, I can't get a hold of my brother to get a 100% A OK on this wallpaper but I submitted it anyway (I'm sure he'll say it's alright, after all I gave him credit, lol).

So yes! In thanks to your patronage a new wallpaper! Truth be told the most impressive visual aspect is the space scape by Tod-Sullest (of deviantArt). But still... cool no?

AS for my new job... I monitor a SCADA system for Wind turbines. In other words I watch computer screens to make sure that turbines are still running across the US. if they fault I either reset them or call out a technician to go fix them. Aside from that I just edit downtime reports so we know why turbines weren't running at certain times.

Not the most exciting job in the world, but hey, it'll pay for school and living expenses (I pray).

Oh yes, I re-beat Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance... so once again I am ready to play Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn!

Gnus - plural for Gnu (I think)... News - Info stuffs

So yes... I'm not gone! The disappearing act was not wholly of my making. You see, this new job required a lot of time spent on training. So most of the past two weeks I've been training (made some good cash doing that). Also I spent the week stressing over an online calculus class... that wasn't gonna work so yesterday I canned it in favor of taking a tech writing class and I'll take Calc in a real class later.

So now I'm at work (with the new laptop my school made me buy... yes they made me... no I didn't have the cash... it's bundled in my tuition so my life belongs to them for a while...).

So why is this post so long? I'm breaking in the new keyboard... it sounds so nice and the keys glide under my fingers like the scintillating touch of the wind as the sun rises on the horizon...... (Yes I do love technology)

Oh yes.. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (Akatsuki no Megami for those who prefer the original Japanese name "Goddess of Dawn") comes out next week. Did you reserve your copy? I did. In addition to that... I replayed through FE9... I'm sitting on nearly the last hit of the final boss but I had to go to work and the credits take over an hour when you play through it the way I do (get everyone lose no one).

Also, I finally found a copy of Fire Emblem 6: Sealed Sword emulated with a trans patch of course... but now I can find the ending (if I can keep playing it, hehe... starting one of these games and deciding what chars and which supports I want is always the hardest thing to do).

Oh yeah, Mario & Sonic: Beijing Olympics comes out next week too... it might become a cult classic so take a look and find something to enjoy (Tails vs Yoshi at Ping-Pong anyone?)

Anything else... uhh.. Sonic's in Smash Bros. Brawl... but you guys already new that.

Oh yeah! Thanks everyone! I just hit the 1000 view mark! I will make something commemorative when I have the chance (i.e. when I get off work.. this laptop doesn't have my soft-gear). But it's all thanks to you guys who actually still keep looking back here! Domo arigato gozaimasu!

So yeah... I'll see what I can get done when I get back... but first I have to beat FE9 again...............................

Ahh yes, updated

So yes, just a quick update. I may have been non-posting two days but I'm not gone yet!

I finally landed a job! A good one at that! With this I will be able to continue here at school. I start Monday with training and things will go from there. This is definitely a bright spot in this world!

I also am confronted by car costs. Took it in to get some stuff checked and they found stuff that will need replacing. So now I need nigh on $500 to pay for everything. I lose this round but the next one... oooooh....

Also, I'm working (with some help) on redoing this site. I just started but here goes.

Quest!

The project has begun again!

What project you ask? Well actually there never was an original project... more of we were just making the wallpapers. Yes friends I speak of the Fire Emblem wallpapers made by myself and CecilTactition. Two different styles, and all the Fire Emblem: Rekka No Ken characters.

Admittedly there was never a declared project. I think (and this is a slight assumption or possible memory lie) that it was mainly a nice idea to think about a site where all of the FE7 characters had their own personal wallpaper. As it turns out (thanks greatly to Cecil Tactition) most of the characters have a wallpaper. So now I'm going to attempt to finish it (probably alone as I don't think CT is going to return anytime soon).

Side note...

as for school and work. I am registered for next term... picked up one of the books I need and flipped through it.. Amazingly it's mostly stuff I covered at my last school (that degree is really gonna pay off here, hehe). What isn't covered is mostly physics stuff (thanks again to my Highschool Physics teacher... that class has been paying off for over 2 years now). so yeah, can't really clep the course as I need the refresher and there are aspects of the science/math I still need to cover (in reference to electrical theory).

I a nutshell - covered this before, this class should be a breeze.

As for work.. After shifting my Calculus class to an online course I opened up my evenings... I go in for a 3rd interview at a company on Thursday... if I get this job it will largely (if not compeletely) pay for my schooling/life here. Thank you night shift!

Umm... hello those who still watch out for my presence!

Yes hello once again *dusts off site quickly.* I have been, for all practical purposes, gone. I once again have internet set up. I am moved into my apartment. Classes are going fine and I am working towards having a job. I dunno how long things will stay sane here and keep working but I'm gonna keep at it.

The main thing is... I figured that whomever was still watching my site here deserved something for their vigilance! So here you go... my newest comedic video! (and I finally uploaded a bunch of my other vids to my YouTube account so feel free to cruise/comment/rate).
