She speaks!

First thing she said to me was "To the finest crew in Star Fleet!" (i.e. I tested my sound with the Picard Dance Remix song... funny).

But yes.. she's now back to nearly 100%... I have Adobe Photoshop CS2 back on here again... don't have Premiere and/or After effects tho... gotta work on getting those again, my friend with the disc lost said disc... back to Pinnacle for a while I guess.

With my desktop back in action (and no school now) it means I'll have more time (maybe no creativity... but hey.. plenty of stuff has been made with no creativity right?) to make wallpapers again.

As promised

Ok, here are three basics as promised:








Ahh yes.. so there they are. It's a beautiful blade in my opinion.

As for cost... I was amazed! Expecting a much higher amount (i.e. the amount I'd seen the previous month) I went in and discovered the owner of the shop/sword had reduced the price significantly!! If I need to, I will use it. If anyone asks, I learned how from Nobuhiro Watsuki....

Haha, a new record! My sword has received a poem! Now I just need to name it...

Oh, and 5:15 is rather early depending on what time you go to sleep. ;)

I have a new soundcard for my PC.. which means I may have her back up and running to max again soon.

Awsm

Ok.. this is gonna be a short post for now 'cause I'm working on stuff and have to wake up at 5:15 tomorrow.. hehe...

Needless to say I have two things to say:

1) I now have a degree... an Applied Associates Science degree in Applied Engineering Technologies.

2) I have a fully functionaly, carbon spring steel, hand forged authentically as it would have been way back in the day, Sakabatou (Reverse Blade Sword). Yes, it is real, yes it is cool, yes it was rather hard to find.

Victory!!

Yes Finally! I finally have done it! I beat Star Ocean: Second Story!!

I almost feel like I cheated though. This final boss was harder than the either of the other ones (Star Ocean, and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time). I kept fighting and he'd go uber and start to whup me. So I ran into a very interesting item while fooling around. I blacksmithied what I believe is called an Algol Shield (should be called a Gorgon shield). Essentially what it does is reflect a person's attack. If the enemy is staring at the character when it's reflected they are turned to stone.. no exceptions. Didn't work with Claude (couldn't equip) so I ended up putting it on one of my weaker characters (less than half of Claud's or Ashton's levels). It worked first time through and I beat the final boss in less than 5 seconds....

But I have the spot saved so I can go back and replay it if I want. ;)

Gone, gone, going

Ok, so now my computer is doing better. She's conscious again. She's lost most of her memory but that's slowly being rebuilt (it will not ever be perfect... but oh well). It took some work but I helped her vision and expression to return. Unfortunately she can neither hear nor speak at the moment. I may have a solution to that but I must work... I must strive hard to repair her and get her back to her old self!

So aside from fixing my computer... I've been working on finishing out my schooling. By Saturday I will have an Associate's degree in Automation Robotics/Applied Engineering! (Finally...)

After that who knows... either hit the ground running in a jump or sidestep that and sprint my way towards a full Electrical Engineering Degree.

Well, that's it for now... I managed to get some visiting in, maybe I'll get some more later, lol.

Oh! By the way! Good news! I picked up the Sonic the Hedgehog DVDs from BestBuy that were released recently! Remember, this is Sonic SatAm (the series that came out on ABC Saturday mornings way back when). It's awsm, even has some bonus features! If you get the chance go for it!

3 weeks?

Ok.. so now I've been without my lovely computer for about 3 weeks... So here's an update.

First off... I got told wrong about the size of my Motherboard.. so I got one too big (fortunately I had an extra case... even looks cooler).
So the new MoBo comes in... I spend an afternoon transferring the proprietary HP stuff (seriously... unless you know what's what.. just sell off you rHP for parts to someone who knows a lot and buy/build a new PC) over to the new case. Only to discover I get the same prob mostly. I go in and end up buying some thermal compound and a fan (processor seemed to be overheating) and a brand new power supply (nice one too).
So now I have a new PSU, MoBo, and Box... I plug everything in, organize my case. Install the fans and extras... now it won't boot. I mess with the Cmos for a while... nothing.

Needless to say, it stops when it tries to boot from the Hard Drive (both HDD and all devices do work). Screen stops everything and it just gives a constant set of short beeps. Thing'll boot-up with my Linux Live CD, but not this hard drive. I've pulled and replugged cables and every thing's a no-go. So now I'm fixing to graduate in about two weeks (April 28th.. oh yeah!) and my silicon-friend is offline...

Well anyway that's an update on me... I should be at a wireless spot tomorrow and if I have time I plan to drop by and see different sites again...

Horrors...

Ok, so I watch TMNT the other day... as I said before... it was AWSM! However this awsmness was slightly offset (not enough to kill me or bring me into a horrible depression) by my computer.

I got home and after 15 minutes of transferring new anime and watching Gungrave... it died...

Since then I've been working on it trying to get the poor girl back to life. Sadly most of my stuff is on her instead of my laptop (which is where I'm working from now).
So until I get that fixed (I think it's a motherboard problem.. which means cash time) there won't really be much new stuff... I'm gonna try to cruise around some but my main computer is down.

Good excuse for an absence!

Yes! I finally have a good excuse... which can be summed up in one acronym...

TMNT!

First movie I've ever seen on the day it came out. So I packed a Leo mask and headed to visit my bro. (movie was about family.. so why watch it without one?)

But yes.. with a few points to contest.. the movie was, without a doubt, awsm! My personal favorite may still be the first one. But this new one cuts it close. (It may be because in the first one you have guys in massive turtle suits jumping around and moving like ninjas... I mean c'mon!)

I'm gonna ninja my way into some lunch now... so I'll catch ya'll later (if I can find some Leonardo renders or something I'll make a wallpaper methinks).

Haha, did something again.. that's 2 in one day!

Ok, so yes I got to fooling around with Adobe Premiere today (really it's awsm). Very nice program... kinda messy in some spots but that's what one gets for using an advanced (and expensive... thanks to a friend for getting it for me!) program like this. I think this one turned out mostly like I wanted it to be. If I'd had some other stuff on hand I know how I would've changed it (namely I'd have used some scenes from SA2B....) but this way I got to use cool scenes... and really the scene of the Egg Carrier rising from the jungle in SA was one of the most visually stunning pictures of that generation of games I think. This vid was made using clips from Sonic Adventure (DX version), Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Sonic the Hedgehog for 360.

Oh yes, Lystikinena. The flame effect on the text was rather simple after I found out how. Just make a rastered copy of the text and put it over the original (layered above). Then use the "fibers" filter on that layer, whatever colour you want the flames to be. After that use the "burn" tool over portions of the fibered text. Then all that's left is using the smudge tool and smudging the layer stuff to make it look like flames. (feel free to adjust the opacity as well). This works on either Adobe Photoshop CS1 or CS2. B)

Busy?

Yes and no. I've not been getting online recently for several reasons. Firstly, it's Spring Break so I've been gone. Secondly this job is really intensive. It's an hour drive to work as I've said before. I just recently broke my record of time worked with a straight 13 hour day yesterday. Including driving time it was a lot longer seeing as how I left a t 5:45 and got home at 9:30 that night.

Well considering how long it's been since I've done so... I decided to make another wallpaper (been collecting video footage for another MV.. but haven't done anything with that yet). Check it out: (this beats my previous Wil wallpaper). Thanks to my older bro for info on the fire text!

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering. In addition to all the other stuff I have been keeping up with the 500 sword strikes a night (excepting Sat and Sun nights). I've reached a point where I can do them consecutively, nearly perfectly straight and without stopping.

Also, I've been gone because friends have been dropping by and others have been asking for my time. This semester is also the first where I've had real homework to take home and work on.... not that it really affects how much time I have wasted around here.

Anyway, I must go now.. mainly because people are going to be home soon and I'm trying to cram in as many site visits as I can before they get home and I have to leave.
