Stuffs (I can't think of a title.. my creativity just hit a bump)
Ok, so I checked again today and my article still isn't up... oh well it's not even up on TSW anyway.
I mainly wanted to post this so I coudl say a few things. First off I'm glad that so many people follwo the "if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all" rule... but I'd really like to hear what's wrong with my work, lol!
Also, I was cruising along recently and realized I'd faile dto sign some people's guestbooks or add new friends. If I've missed or overlooked you please PM so I can know.
Ok.. so now for an interesting story about pride. In the town near (an hour away, lol) where I live there is a nice Chinese restaurant. Very good food. Ou tin the parking lot was one of the most proud Americans I'd ever seen! I mean this person had 3 stickers on the back of a shining WHITE (And it was WHITE... sparkling white) car. Stuff like "Proud to be an American," "Proud to be Free," "Remember our Soldiers." All that freedom and patriotic stuff you know. But waht got me was their biggest point of pride... pride that no sticker can amass... In essence it was what their car was saying (yes "saying")...
I'M SO IMPORTANT I CAN TAKE UP 2, COUNT 'EM 2, PARKING SPACES BECAUSE I'M FREE TO BE A SELFISH CONSUMER!
Ok... so maybe I'm beign a tad cynical and bitter... all I know is I'm American... born here... I was raised in a very selfish country (South America... rather cool place actually but things were a bit tougher on the populace) and I was taught to be a producer... I may not be very good but I don't think it's too hard to just park in one spot...
Yes, I salute these proud Americans... even if only so that I don't slash their tires...
~WS/SP
(No quote today btw... Just so you know... I am proud to be American, I like America, I like most countries in fact (I say most 'cause I don't know about all of 'em yet, lol). Just people like this give others a bad name, ya know?)
