The competition of gradual suckiness....
Okay, I think I've figured something out. God and his other deity friends have a competition every week. One of them makes monday bad. The next tries to top the badness of the day before. Well, whoever was on today did one FINE job of making the day bad. Seriously. I think they may also have had power over last night. So they win the celestial pint or whatever the prize is...
Okay, so I woke this morning with a sore throat that made me think one of the friendly neighbourhood badgers that live in my garden had taken up residence in my trachea. Not only that, I had overslept by a good bit, so I had to rush to get everything together. Then, I remembered I had a drama assignment, to bring in three books (actually, three was for poetry, one was for prose). So I promptly set about finding three different books. Three of my favourites. So I tried to close my bag. After wrestling with the accursed thing for three rounds, before getting it in a headlock and closing the zip, I ran to the luas stop. As I walked out my door I calmed a little. It was quiet out, and there wasn't a luas coming, so I strolled to the platform. As said platform comes into sight, I see a luas pulling away....great, so now I might be late too. How fun. well, I didn't end up being late. Got to school on time. As I pulled out swipe card (a stupid system whereby we have to "tag in" in the morning. As they do a rollcall every class, it rather defeats the purpose...), my change scattered across the floor, including my money for the ticket to the musical. Well, as I went looking for the last few coins (without success) I cursed. Someone told me that that wasn't a way for a student to talk, and I look up into the face of one of my least favourite teachers, the one I would have for my next period. Great. Well, I found my change. Then I went to my first classes, including my free period. While trying to do my math homework, I realised nothing was working, so I just stopped. Then art, where I tried to attach chicken wire to a mask using only plaster. Not very easy... next came english, where we had no teacher, but were kicked out as soon as I had got my bloody books out. So I had to jam them back in, crushing the brownie I had in my bag, which then smeared all ovver my books. In computers we did pretty much nothing. We just sat around, doing....well, nothing... next came french, and a quiz I had forgotten about. Sooo much fun...and then lunch. Well, on the plus side, my day picked up a little when I got my ticket to the musical, because we had drama next, which was okay. Except for the fact that I was put in a group with this weirdo who comes up and licks you, or reaches into his pants to pluck you a boquet of hair (he actually did this). Anyway, I had to do a fall, and ended up really hurting myself. I fell a bit TOO well....then math. Which isn't my best subject (so why the heck am I in the top class?!??!?!???!) at the best of times.... And then I get home. On the plus side, I had no homework, and I talked to Kestra which perked me up a little, but I still feel pretty depressed. I wish it was really lashing rain. The whole bright blue sky we had going today really made things worse....Sadly I think the sore throat is a cold...
So whoever was in charge of my day, run. I have squirrels...
