[Dodging the Bullet]
[Playlist and Snippet]
- "" - - -

Ah told ja ah'd shoot, but cha didn't believe me!! Why didn't cha believe me?!?!?!

[So it wasn't as bad. . . ]

While the hurricane (Katrina) tore into New Orleans to the point that it even cracked the otherwise impregnible Superdome, we only received a little bit of rain. I think some people said that the hurricane did a turn that threw us off of its course. My heart goes out to those people 3-4 hours south (via interstate) of where I am, especially those who decided to rough it out and stay in New Orleans.

[Freaking Retards. . .]

I was talking to Con about some of her problems with her work lately and it allowed me to come to my own conclusion about MY work: I'm starting to get sick of this job. Now while I like working parties (sometimes,) and making that sweet sweet money, the things people come to expect me to do on a regular basis (because theyre lazy) is starting to piss me off. Our expiditer (I think I spelled that wrong) came to me about cleaning up the (top floor) kitchen as if it were my job to clean it. . .its both HIS and THE CHEF's job to clean it; they just ask me, and I do it because I work the parties on our top floor kitchen.

[New Orleans Update]

Local news is so much more reliable. Our respective Channel 2 (our of Baton Rouge, I think) has been extremely reliable in providing news information, staying in New Orleans 24/7 (there was even a reporter from their station IN THE HURRICANE at the peak of the storm,) so all of my informations from there:

They're at 80 deaths at the moment, and there are more but they don't have the numbers yet. . .I'm worried as shit to see how many people they will find under that water. Entergy™ is already going into plans to rebuild New Orleans entire power infrastructure, from brand new poles instead of salvaging the old ones, right down to brand new power plants to generate electricity. While I was watching it a few minutes ago, they showed Coast Guard crew conducting rescue from people stranded on their roofs, who stayed in their buildings and cut holes to the top to stay above the water (I heard that the water is still rising. . .) The Air Force is sending in food and supplies via their gigantic cargo planes and states from all over are sending relief/manpower to help everyone out. Just like 9/11, its a goddamn shame that it takes a fucking disaster to bring us all together, and just like 9/11, once this is all said and done, people will forget about everything that happened.
