   SA-KUR-A-CON!
I made it. So many lessons learned from my first anime con. Number 1 rule of all time if you really want to have a blast then go dressed up. Glomping can be fun and its too cool to see all your favorite characters. I was one of like 7 people not in costume.

Another lesson that I learned is that you will spend money. I blew $250 on stuff just because it was so cool. I bought 4 figurines and 2 books and my prized purchase was a how to draw character book. I have already started working on incorporating its style and learning from it. I think I am about to start a manga style soon just because thats what this book is teaching me.

Sakura Con was a blast all in all through and through. I went on two of the three days also so I think I got a great feeling for it. Next year I am totally entering in some contests. I have some new work already drawn too from this weekend I just need to get it into the computer and decide what I want to do with it. OH what a blast. Ok I start spring quarter tomorrow so I need to get some sleep. Special thanks to everyone who gave me such great advice for my first con, they will only get better from here.

   A late night project, I learned I can't make my own philosophy.
Well I think that its pretty common of me to do this when I am on any kind of break. Being that I am still in the first half on Spring break I decided on a late night project that I wanted to finish the night of. I originally wanted to draw Lust from Full Metal Alchemist and Ink her and just be done with it. But then the voice of challege spoke to me. Why not see if you can do a complete CG in the same time it takes you to ink. After all the work I put into the sorceress picture I became alot faster at my more basic technique of CG. Therefore I present a quicky CG Lust.

As for the philosophy . . . I wouldn't recomend looking for Lust quotes on google. I felt this piece should have something cool written at the bottom but searching for lust is just a bad idea. So I thought (in part that its 2am here and I am tired) that I could maybe write something philosphic-like. I failed. Its on the picture which should be through the queue in the morning if you want to read. It basically says Lust the sin can't love due to its nature yet the Charactor Lust can love therefore she has the choice to. It has to do with one of the episodes. This is why I am not a writer. Though with the length of this post you might think otherwise. And thats my que to exit. Night all. Maybe see some of you at Sakura Con?

   OH wowie!
Hey everyone! Spring break greetings to you all! I know its been going around but I got sick. After I finished finals and had all of Spring break ahead of me I got really sick. I am just coming out of it now.

Anyway thats not important. I have been working on my tablet skills for a while now and I finally FINALLY finished this piece I drew like a month ago. Its the first time I used many things. Its basically all new techniques for shading and colorings. I used a few old techniques too. The original is huge its like 1200x1500 pixels but I halfed it for here. I really think I improved with my tablet skills so I would love if you had the time to check it out. Should be through the queue soon.

On another note what does everyone think about this new portfolio page rather that the links at the bottom. I personally am going to reserve judgement for a while but I am curious to what you all think. Thanks again for stopping by everyone. Good Drawing

   Asleep and late updates
Just wanted to update really quickly. I added a quick inking of my two friends (one is a roommate) who are leaving for Japan for a year. I drew this piece in my Art History class (Which I hate) for them. I hope they like it. I had all their friends sign it and then I framed it. It really isn't my best work but because I thought of the idea at the last minute I had to Ink it and color in photoshop to save time insted of doing the whole thing CG. Check it out if you would like I have a feeling it will be through the queue by the morning. (Its 12:37 here).

On another note I would like to thank everyone for their excellent advice on my upcoming trip to Sakura Con. My Edward The Full Metal Alchemist piece will be featured in a movie there so I am excited to see it on the big projectors. Any way again thanks to all. I am off to bed.

   Sakura Con Seattle
Hey everyone, I was curious if anyone was going to go to Sakura Con in Seattle on the 24 25 26 of March? I am in the area and will be attending and I think that one of my Otaku Pieces will be included in the show via video format. Anyway if your going let me know. Otherwise I have never been to a Event like this what should I expect?

   Asuka, Jethro, and the Sunburnt Icon
So last night my friend Jethro and I had a photoshop session. As nerdy as it may sound it was a blast. We both worked on pieces for the Otaku. I wanted to practice some Inking so I made another inked picture of Asuka which should be through the queue pretty soon.

I have to add a quick little plug for Jethro. He and I are working together on some photoshop fan art and it might be worth your time to check his work out and welcome him to the Otaku. He is new as of this weekend.

Finally as a little side note I finally figured out what my icon for the post is. Its a sunburnt face with eye protectant on. Awesome! Its actually rainy and cold here but I am feeling pretty good so Red Hot Sun Burnt man it is.

   400 Hits
Hey everyone. I have noticed that people put up hit markers when they hit significant amout of views. I just crossed over 400 so I made the little thing above.    Unprecidented
Well first off let me say a big thank you to everyone for such an amazing turn out and comments on my post yesterday. I was so happy to see so many responses to my art and such a simple post.
Tonight (and I mean tonight its 1 am here) I am posting a inked piece of Nao from the FMA movie. I just watched it today and I was randomly inspired to put out a piece of her. If your curious please check it out, I think by the time everyone wakes up on the East Coast it will be available.

   The Legend of the Fire String Ruby
I made a new piece from Mai Otome again. I think I am the only person on this site and of the 45000!!! users that knows of this show. It is really really good. Any way they revealed my favorite character and even though I did a piece guessing what she might look like this one is what she really looks like. It should but up soon if you want to see it.
