Everyone doesn't want a great hair cut!!!!
So I was trying to catch up on my anime interests and one of the things I like to do is check out the newly submitted art at the Fan Art home page. I was looking at a really great piece when . . . "EVERYONE WANTS A REALLY GREAT HAIR CUT" comes over my head phones at midnight. That stupid advertisement scared anything of manhood I had right out of me. So of course I have to tell this story to you fellow Otaku(ites) because I am sure we will all be having the same grudge against this stupid advertisement in the weeks to come.
Side note: Does anyone know if Full Metal Panic the Second Raid was just 13 episodes?
Talk to you all later!

If the brain is a hampster running in a wheel, then my hamster is the one sleeping at the bottom.
Randomness is something that can spawn wonderful creativity or huge disaster. This is one of those times. I submit the following inquiries.
1. If you have seen Cowboy Bebop, what do you feel happened after the series ends?
2. Why is it that guestbook entries can be deleted?
3. In what way can a person fit 48 hours into a 24 hour day?
4. Have you noticed that the pages of daily fan art submissions has gone down to 7-8 a day from 12 this summer?
These are the questions that are forcing my hampster to sleep which is why I turn to you. I require your hampsters for knowledge. Hope you are all still out there Otaku(ites)

I thought it couldn't be done, but . . . like the great ED from FMA, I merged worktime and animetime!
EDIT: So I might have submitted a picture twice. . . oh uh anyway, YES! I was able to actually do a new piece of art while still maintaining my crazy insane work schedule. The one I just added is from Full Metal Panic. For this piece I really wanted to keep the "anime" look. I didn't try for the fancy look or extra shading, just wanted it to look like a screenshot. I guess I will see how I did with time. Any way to those that responded to my shared art project idea, thank you. I should be getting back to you soon I am, as always, swamped with work (I'm like the last hat under all the clothes in the coat closet and the first one that wants to leave the party). If anyone new was interested in getting together on an art project I say count me in. Since I am rambling I might as well throw this last piece out. Have you ever noticed that sometimes people respond to other peoples comments in thier own comment box? I think thats a neat idea except Otaku needs to have some sort of notification for when someone responds to you. UGH ok done venting. Happy drawing to you all Otaku(ites)!

My solution to addiction, Not safe nor for children under 9 or over 31 (children can be 31)
I have been working so much and completely unable to fill my anime urges in the way of watching shows, and drawing fan art. Its horribly depressing but . . . I have a solution. Anime in the form of an IV. When I am at work I can just plug in and let it flow! . . . bad idea. But I did, in all this work madness, just finish Full Metal panic. Any full metal panic fans? It was a decent show. Its no Kenshin or Bebop but good none the less. I really want to do a non paint type shaded picture. Of who I don't quite know yet but we will see, I hope to get that going maybe by this weekend. To everyone out there though, I would love to hear about your latest projects. I was thinking that doing a project where people share the work like color, lines, and background would be fun, but I don't have anyone that is interested in doing that with me (Sighs and looks at feet, like I did what I was nervous before asking a girl out in high school . . . who am I kidding I still do that). Well this is a really long post but I really miss all the anime, I saw some of the new stuff and its all great. Keep it up Otaku(ites)!

Average working Joe the Giant, destroyer of artistic creativity
Hello Otaku(ites). I put out a post not too long ago about how I got all these great ideas for Kenshin pictures and I was so happy and thought that there was going to be a burst of new art on my site . . . well I have a job and all of a sudden I am working weeks with insane hours like 7 in the morning to 11 at night, and even some on the weekends. My Job destroyed my explotion of pictures I was about to do. Anyone ever have your job be as big of a pain in the butt as mine?

Its like a rollarcoaster ride when you can't even see the track
So I was thinking about anime shows lately and I had to comment on this. I watch alot of anime in my free time. I only really started watching about a year ago so I feel like I am horribly behind which is probably why I watch so much so often so I don't know if this problem applies to many people or maybe it does to alot. Any way, it seems that whenever I finish a show I am normally really emotionally drained, and in alot of cases depressed. Its such a wierd feeling. Its like why would I keep watching these shows when if I finish them I get all depressed. Well for me its always like a week later that I realize what a great show it was. I guess what I am asking is do any of you Otaku(ites) get that feeling. Like when you finished a show it made you depressed but a week later you realize it was like the best show ever. Kenshin did that for me. Any way, just thought I would share, keep up the good artistry everyone!!!
(oh and I hate that stupid add that shows up on our pages sometimes with the clicking camera and you can't stop that noise, UGH oh well)

The inverse of block, no that doesn't mean a sphere!
So I was talking about my huge artistic block earlier, well now I've gone and done it. I used to try and confine myself to Bebop related art but in order to free myself from my block I decided to try Kenshin (one of the greatest animes ever and the most touching and complete I have ever seen). Oh no! I think that was a bad idea. I can't stop now. I have so many pictures I want to do but I just can't start on one without thinking of another. Its insane. Like I seriously have 20 different ones I want to do and I have started on them all but I can't finish them because I keep thinking of another idea. UGH! Any one have any thoughts or remedies? Have any of you Otaku(ites) experienced the dreaded inverse block?

Block, not just like a 6 year old with with blocks but like driving a car into a concrete wall block
Follow me for a second on my metaphor for this huge artistic block I am feeling. (I get into my car and rev the engine. I have a pretty fast car so I am feeling confident and I take off. I follow the streets out to the highway as I always do and start to get on the on ramp. I floor it as I always do and before I know it I am up to 80mph. Wait whats that its a huge wall in the middle of the hiway oh S*** !) Sorry for the explitive but thats what it was like tonight. I sat down to start on a new Faye drawing and I could not move the pencil. I sat here for 5 hours. 5 Hours!! and nothing! Oh well tomorrow is another day. Have any of you Otaku(ites) had artistic blocks of that size?
