New Sakura
I finished my Dark Sakura picture. Its called Aku No Sakura, which in Japanese means the evil of Sakura. (at least I think). I took everyone's suggestions about my last realism/anime piece and really tried to hard to meet everyones expectations. This one has a less definded nose, more anime like figure, and still and strong definition of muscle. If you guys have the time I would really appreciate a comment on this piece. I'm working hard to master the new realism/anime style. (I could call it Realime) lol. Thanks!

Smiles. Not an action, a Question.
In my never ending pursuit to blend realism and anime art styles I've come across a problem. I took everyone's advice on my previous Sakura Picture to heart and now I'm doing a new one with many new revisions to the Realism/anime hybrid style.

I want to know though. If the Eyes and Nose of a character are distinctly anime would you (the respective collective) as an anime lover accept your favorite character drawn with more realistic lips rather than a line for the mouth and I line for the bottom lip? I really want to hear peoples opinions on this so I can incorporate this change in the current picture I am working on before I debut it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know what you think ASAP. Thanks a million!

Well well well
This is an amazing surprise. I was just thinking the other day . . . "I wonder what it takes to become and OTAKU LEGEND". I really love this site and I've been on here showing my work for I think 3 years now. And today I happened to notice I recieved a promotion! I am an OTAKU LEGEND!!!! I don't know when that happened but YAY I'm so excited!

Now that Summer is here I'm working double time on art. I know I've gotten a lot of requests lately but right now I need to wrap up some drawings I have floating around in my head. Until then . . . sorry requests, I'll get to them soon. Right now I am working on a new DARK SAKURA drawing. I'm pretty excited about it. Going to try and incorporate some of the amazing suggestions I got on my last piece and really get that anime/realism style down. Well I'll be visiting sites here soon. Happy weekend's end.

So I did some new art over the weekend. I think its really cool looking too. Its a picture of Sakura after the time skip. I tried a lot of new styles on it.    Eric Versus The Door
For circumstances I don't wish to go into I got into a fight with a door on Friday. Without thinking, (that goes without saying) I decided to put my right hand through our pantry door 3 times. Once the door was destroyed I upgraded my target. I went after a steel door which didn't break as easy as the pantry door did. Long story short I ruined my drawing hand this weekend. Its going to be a while I think until I draw again. But I am presistant, I may fight through the pain any way.

Now that the event is over I can laugh about it. I think it was really dumb to do but will make for a good story down the road. Any way thats why I'll be out of commission for a while.

   Can I be serious for a second?
I was reading about a person on our site who was . . flamed recently. They dealt with the situation and after investigating, it seems that the feud has been resolved.

I'm not saying names, I'm not going to comment on what was said or how the situation was dealt with. So with all that said I want to pose a simple question that I want made clear is in no way a jab at anyone on this site. I value everyones input on my work and others work. Its what makes this site worth coming to.

So . . . How many of you were born in the 80's? Anyone alive for the majority of the 80's? A good online friend I know was born in the 70's here. I'm just curious because I have a feeling that I am in the older age group here on Otaku and without scouring all the individual pages I'll just pose my question here.

So I overcame my desktop worries and finally put something together. I just submitted it the the gallery too. Its of Haruhi Suzumiya in her infamous bunny costume. I don't know how I feel about the background but I like Haruhi. I hope you guys check it out!
