   the voting system
::grumples about the yes/no voting system on this site::

anyone else around here find the Yes/No voting system here irritating? They really need a better voting system here, atleast make it rate the pics here on a scale of 1 to 5 or rephrase the whole "Do you like this pic Yes or NO" That's not a very fair way of voting and it's not voting on the quality of the art piece which is what it's all about, isn't it?

I see some gorgeous art with 60% ratings and random doodles with 100% ratings. Why? because the simple doodle is of a popular chara and the all out illustration is of a hated chara. That is beyond dumb. People are voting based on the fact on whether they like the chara in the image and not the overal image itself. So you can't stand yaoi or het and you come across a gorgeos yaoi or het fanart, you're gonna vote no on it based on the fact that it's yaoi or het? How is that fair? Should you not vote on the quality of the art piece? I hate seeing gorgeous fanarts on this site with low ratings just because, Kykyo, Relena, Yuffie, Wufei, Tomoyo... and so on are in it, or god forbid it's not the pairing you like, oh well how dare they draw the wrong pairing, I'll show them I'll vote no on all of their fanarts just to spyte them. What the hell? I will never get that attitute and this voting system only seems to encourage it. Atleast let us see who votes and how they vote, I bet that would make people think twice before they vote No on a piece just cause they don't like the chara or the pairing. Ok well that's the end of my rant =_=
