Tired...So tired...
unbeknownst to most people, I've been working on a mid term for a class in school. The thing that is particularly unknown to everyone, is that I was supposed to have finished it by midnight sunday night, but I didn't. Instead I had to deal with some issues, and then work, and more classes today. My schedule has been so full, I had thought that I'd be able to work on it all Saturday, but alas, that didn't work out, and neither did Sunday.
I'm revealing this now because I finished it and sent it out slightly after midnight tonight, thus it is three days late, but still on time. It has made me VERY tired, and VERY irritable, so I don't expect to do or say much of anything tomorrow, or the day after, I feel extremely exhausted, sore, and generally worn out. Ah life stinks at the moment, and it'll only become more tense as the week wears on, with more essays due and research to be done. When's my vacation going to come up again anyway? spring break is far too far away.
Moving on, life is hard, but interstella continues. This is the second to last video. I wonder once again if anyone will miss me posting these? I suppose not. But alas, all things must end someday, tomorrow appears to be that day for my interstella showing. As for now, enjoy this, Face to Face. Makes Shep's sacrifice worthwhile I think...
Oh by the way, it's about 1:30, I ought to be asleep in an hour or so. Comments (2) |

drifting...
I feel like I should be doing nothing, even when I've something to do... whatever... life goes on with or without me, time to catch up to it.
The next interstella edition has a bit more beat to it, so here goes, Short circuit. Almost done with them, will anyone miss it when it's over? maybe one or two of you... here you go.
Moving on...
After the reflections, life moves on. Verdis Quo is the next one, which reminds me that I along with everyone else should, after having a remembrance for our loss, go out and take care of what's really important. In this case, important is taking down The Earl de Darkwood, in his oh so creepy manor. Live on world.
It seems such a difficult thing, to let someone go. When someone or something is dying, and you know, perhaps we cling to that because it is so much a part of our lives, that we've grown used to it. So much so that we cannot imagine our lives without that person, or that relationship, or that pet, or place, or institution, or idea. It is important to realize that when all you have at your disposal is exhausted, and nothing more can be done to save your beloved, it is perhaps best to let it go gracefully, with all the dignity and respect it should thus have.
Of course, letting someone die, is never easy. After all, it is often said that "our lives do not belong to us, rather, they belong to all those who love and care for us." Thus we, as custodians of that life, are forced to let go of that which belongs to us, to let go of the tethers which hold that life, whether it be a person, idea, relationship, place, memory, or anything else, and return that life to its owner. Of course, as former "owners" it's hard to let go, and sometimes we fall into the trap of thinking that once something or someone is gone, it is gone forever. Science, religion, morality, culture, history, memory, they all say otherwise. A person, whether you believe in souls or not, cannot simply cease to exist. To view it from Hamlet's perspective, we are all eating fish, which have been fed on worms, which have eaten mostly anything that is beneath the soil. Of course you might think that you might be free from this, but some fish products are used on plants as fertilizer, and earthworms tend to be beneficial for crop production, so really, even a staunch vegetarian cannot help but be a part of this. Physical remains are taken back to whence they came, ashes to ashes, dust to dust, the Lenten mantra. Of course whatever energies we possess are likewise distributed. There is a scientific law which says, essentially, neither matter nor energy can EVER be destroyed. The only thing that can happen to matter or energy, is to transform into the other form. This is the principle behind the atomic bomb, and E=mc^2.
A short deviation here will explain. Energy = mass multiplied by the speed of light squared. Essentially, this means that if you can convert matter into energy, the smallest amount of matter will become massive amounts of energy, which is what happens in atomic explosions. Also, when massive amounts of energy are expended, such as when a person tries to, say, drive their car at the speed of light, that energy is converted into matter. Essentially, the faster you go, the heavier you are, and upon reaching the speed of light, or close to it, you would be so incredibly massive, that there would be no way for you to get enough energy to go any faster, and in fact, the harder you would try to speed up, the harder it would become to even maintain your speed.
Getting back to the point at hand, every person gives off energy, which is dissipated into the universe. Upon death, we may live on, in a way, through this energy, as it meanders, pushing things, pulling things, heating things, existing.
All this leads back to the persons left behind. We remember those who died, as well as those chapters in our lives that have passed. It is best, as in the video, titled Voyager, to take some time, perhaps a day or two, to focus yourself in remembrance of the deceased. To, give a proper send off to our departed, and to allow the sorrow, the loss to filter through, so that, at the end of our remembrance, we may walk away, feeling that indeed though we let go, our lives have been altered both by the time spent holding on, and that letting go. Every experience touches each person in some way, and that experience is refined and used to pass on to our descendants, in this way we have received the sum of all the experiences of every single person that has come before us, and also in this way we pass these on with our contributions, so that every person is living on somehow, every moment, though we do not know all the details, is preserved, and every part lives on, thus is the mass consciousness of humanity.
Live a day, in remembrance of what you have lost. Remember all the times you've had, remember the lessons you've learned, and perhaps, if it is right, let go of it. Perhaps, on special dates, such as anniversaries, whether of the beginning or the ending, it is also important to be mindful of such things, and have another day of remembering the loss, free of the distractions of the present day. After all, if we live 100 years, we have 36525 days to live. surely one or two can be spared for this purpose. Comments (1) |

Death
we've all contemplated it at some point, but I don't believe anyone will ever quite be ready for it... and we know that our death will probably leave those around us saddened, which isn't the thing you would want to leave them with, if you cared for them that is...
Life goes on for me however, and I'll be busy for a long while to come. Other than that, there's not much going on.
Interstella continues, with this, my second favorite, it would be my favorite, were it not so Bittersweet. There's Something About Us, and I often wonder the words of this song. It also has a different beat, sort of a "groovier" tempo, in my opinion anyway, which might attract those of you who've been shying away from the music and the story because it hasn't been to your tastes. Here it is, without further ado, Something About Us.
regression
It's 2:30 now, and I'm going to bed soon, probably be sleeping in an hour or so. I've got to sleep more, but for now I'll live.
I've discovered a place in Final Fantasy XI called the Kokba Hostel. I've found that it's very relaxing, and have made up my mind that I want to hold a wedding reception there, should I ever get married in game (rin has agreed, but we have been suffering a lack of contact with the person who is supposed to be the chaperone, aka the person who pays for the wedding). You are provided with music, party items, and a nice closed and private space, which is good for intimate gatherings as well as solitary times of reflection.
For now, I suppose I'll be calling it quits, here is the next part of interstella, titled High Life. It features two interesting things, first is a cameo by daft punk themselves, and second is an awards show, with various artists, probably meant to resemble other real world artists. If any of you out there care to offer speculation on who represents what, it would be welcomed. Good Night for now, enjoy the High Life.
Superheroes
is the title of the next Interstella song here. It's repetetive, but also fades into the background somewhat so that the story is brought to the fore here. I really empathize with Shep here, and I wish I could be as selfless as he is.
It's about 2:00 and I'm very tired. See you all tomorrow.
I give up
I don't care anymore, so really I'm just not going to think of much of anything and keep to what I said earlier. That's it. Or at least I wish it was...
...As to music, well, first a song that I feel is kind of appropriate, and I feel it's fun, so here it is. No things aren't over, but well, heartbreaker, thats a different story...
Okay, now on to buisness. Nightvision is the name of the next installment of the Interstella series, it's pretty short, but meh. Oh and the band names? Here they are straight from wikipedia: Stella (Bass Guitarist), Arpegius (Guitarist), Baryl (Drummer), and Octave (Keyboardist / Vocalist. The other main character who I will name is Shep, the one trying to save the band and take them back to their planet, he's the one who stars in Digital Love if you need any help figuring out who he is. On earth at least, the band is called the crescendolls, and thats all the information I'll release tonight. Here is nightvision.
hello, again
I must apologize for my absence, I have been busy with life and living. I've been discovering that opening my mouth to deliver any sort of original thought, whether it be opinion, suggestion, half-hearted-uneasy joke, or other postulation not in response to something posed by another is bound to be negative. Ergo I shall redouble my efforts at "keeping my trap shut", at least for the next month or so. If I cannot please with my conversational skills, then I am obviously not meant to be very conversational, so I apologize.
Due to my absence, I'll post the next two videos here.
First, this one, seems to inspire me, it makes me want to rush to some goal, to get some self improvement going for myself. So here it is.
Here is the next one. Starting here, the songs will be unfamiliar to most people, as they were not really released as singles, so you would probably be hard pressed to find them outside of the album, and of course, the videos. Next time I'll post names for the band members, because if you've kept up, then you may be wondering if the had them. Most of the characters are actually named, so it is interesting to see how the names relate to each character.
As far as the actual video goes, it seems to speak of how powerful music really is, and how easily susceptible the world is to fads. It's also poking fun at the popularity of One More Time. It's interesting to see a band not take itself so seriously in this way, but you must want the video, so without further stalling for time, here it is.
next up is...
my personal favorite of the interstella 5555 series, it's a sort of romantic thing, and rin has inspired those sorts of things within me before, so I can relate. Also, seems that the person who posted all the videos on youtube got themselves banned, while I'm sure there's more of them, this means that I may not be able to complete the series, so I apologize.
It's also come to mind that you've seen this before, so what's the difference you might ask? I've seen these videos before. To which I reply, have you seen them in the correct order? Probably not, and probably not all in one place, so thats the draw here.
As far as my day goes, it was a bit topsy turvy, at some points I was pleased, at others I was reaching for my gunblade... But that's life right? ce la vi, as some french person would say, though they'd most likely spell it differently. The time I spent with rin was fun, so here's an enjoyable song, something for rin, for if she were not with me already, I'd probably try and follow this song, and woo her that way.
