*yawns*
Very busy weekend. First off, on Friday night both Shelby and Lindsay stayed over.
My POV
I knocked on Lindsay’s front door, hoping that Lindsay could come over. Though I didn’t like Lindsay much, she knew Mark and Dylan, and therefore she was okay. Lindsay answered the door, and smiled. “Hi Lindsay, I was wondering if you could help me finish my papers, then help me give my dog a bath.”
“Okay, let me ask,” Lindsay disappeared, closing the door behind her for a minute, then returned. “Okay, let’s go.”
As we delivered the papers (coincidently there were like 15 left) I walked the bicycle, while Lindsay delivered. I had received a $4 from Mark’s dad that day, and I was in a good mood. On the way home, we met up with Jenny and Shelby, who had been looking for Lindsay. “Lindsay, when are you working for your Brother?” Shelby asked.
“Tomorrow, I think,” Lindsay replied. Shelby gave her a tired look. Jenny looked exasperated. I looked confused. Why hadn’t I heard of this? We had been walking towards my home, and we suddenly reached my home. Running inside, I roused the dog from her sleep, grabbed the shampoo, and dragged her outside. Then I Went to the side of the house, grabbed the picnic table, having Lindsay get a bench, and helped my 10+ year old dog get up on top of it.
Turning on the hose, I started bathing Shadow, lathering the soap all over her. More for my sake than hers, considering she could care less if she smelled like horse shit. I, on the other hand, rarely ever touch her during the time that she smells bad, because smelly-dog scent is hard to get rid of.
The dog sufficiently bathed, I immediately voiced my desire for them to stay the night. We migrated to my room, and while they talked, I changed into some dry clothes. When I was done, we went to Lindsay’s, since she had to clean her front room before she could stay over.
About an hour, alter, the room was clean, and Shelby had gone home for a while. Jenny couldn’t stay over, and she had returned to her place of residence. Lindsay and I returned to my home, and we talked for a while. I called Kira, to see if she was coming over, and Cassie called.
We were about to go bug mark and make sure he stayed home, when Shelby came over so we stayed home. We went to my room, and I got Lindsay to try on some of my clothes, since her shirt was bugging me. Her bra was showing, and when I tried to help her pull it up to hide her bra, it was like trying to moving a fifty pound box. While she was trying the stuff on, she was acting just preppy enough to annoy the hell out of me.
“I kind of feel like you guys don’t want me here,” Shelby said, sadly.
“wha- why?” I asked, taken kind of off guard. Even though I figured, by the way she was moping, that she had been thinking something along the lines of “ I’m not getting enough attention.”
“well, I was coming over, and you guys were about to leave,” she said.
“Oh, Shelby, we want you here, honest.”
Lindsay returned to the room for the final time, dressed in one of my cute shirts, which I never wear. Shelby had just finished asking if she could have it, and I said yeah, so it was okay. But Lindsay acted preppy again. “Lindsay, you’re acting really preppy,” Shelby said.
“Yeah, you are,” I agreed.
“You know what, you guys are ganging up on me,” Lindsay said, anger entering her voice.
“We’re just telling you, that you’re acting preppy,” Shelby said.
Things continued with us arguing for a several more minutes, and soon Lindsay was really angry. “That’s it, I’m leaving,” she said, venom seething from her words.
“Lindsay, don’t leave,” Shelby said. I couldn’t get words out, I had nothing to say.
“Shelby, if I don’t leave right now, I’m gonna get even angrier, and I’m got as good at controlling my anger as you, I might hurt you,” Lindsay said, looking at Shelby threateningly.
“You say you can do all these things, and that you’re so strong, but you don’t scare me. You just don’t flat out scare me,” Shelby was close to tears, and Lindsay stormed out. “It’s my fault she left, I know it is,” Shelby said, tears beginning the journey down her face.
I sat there silently for a while. I never have been good at being comforting. “Aren’t you going after her?” She asked suddenly.
“No, if she wants to leave, it her own fucking problem,” I replied. My ears literally perking up as I heard the sound of the door opening and closing out front. Lindsay had returned.
“I came to make sure I hadn’t left any thing here,” she said, making a lame excuse.
I figured that, had she been truly pissed off, she would have left with or with out her stuff. As she left the room, I decided to go confront her. I managed to catch her just as she was exiting, “Lindsay, wait.” Needless to say, I had to run to to get to her before she was beyond my reach. “Okay, Tell me what the hell set you off,” I said, irritation clearly present in my voice. Shelby had followed me.
“You want to know what set me off!?!” She shouted. “You said I was acting preppy, and I don’t know if you two realize it, but you both act preppy,” She turned to Shelby. “I don’t know if you know this, but you treat me pretty badly.”
“I know I do, okay, that’s why I always seem to lose my friends, I treat them badly,” Shelby cried. Lindsay tried to walk away again.
“Lindsay, if you fucking walk away from this now, the problem won’t be solves, we have to solve it now, of it might get worse, so get your ass back over here and talk to us.” I might mention that I normally don’t cuss this much.
Finally, the problem had been resolved, as they both spilled their guts, and we all had a happy little “Kodak moment.” Then we went inside, and watched (or I should say, they watched) the last season of Yu Yu Hakusho. I was busy ignoring the show, since I don’t really like it. When I went to go to sleep, I quickly realized that three people in my room, with both the door and the window closed was not very good sleeping conditions with a winter blanket. So I got up and switched to nothing but a sheet, and slept until 8 am. I got up, and goofed off until they woke up at around 11. Then they finished YYH, and I joined them, because I was bored. Sometime during it, I fell asleep, and when I woke up, Lindsay was just leaving, and Shelby was packing up.
Shortly there after, Both Kira and Cassie came over, and we had fun hanging out. Kira had to leave, but Cassie got to stay the night for the first time. We went to find mark, and (surprise, surprise) he was at Dylan’s. Well, Cassie finally told Mark that she likes him. Now I just have to get her to ask him out.
We came back, and watched the Butterfly Effect, Scary Movie, and eventually fell asleep. Woke up on Sunday to the sound of my stereo going off. JESUS CHRIST MOTHER OF GOD! I thought. I turned it off, and went back to sleep. Three hours later, I was up.
The rest of the day was pretty boring, Cassie had to leave around four, and I finally finished all of my homework. I can’t wait for school to be out on Friday, seeing as it’s the last day I ever have to attend that god’s accursed facility which they named Seven Oak Middle School. (shoulda been Seven million painful deaths).
I gotta go, TTYL!
