Getting Used to Change
This is really taking some getting to; I mean to this whole college thing. I get to do pretty much whatever I want, whenever I want. Of course there's that whole supporting myself and still having to pass my classes with decent grades thing (now I know how Hideki from Chobits feels).
Actually, I start classes tomorrow. I'm majoring in pre-veterinary medicine and minoring in fine art. Most professional degrees such as medicine and law require you to take a course of study that gets you ready for graduate school, in my case, Vet school. That means I've got 8 years of school left, including this year. That's no fun!

I'm Back
Yay! I'm finally up at college. I know I'm probibly the last person to start school but I don't care. Anyways, in case I didn't tell you guys yet, I'm going to Louisiana Tech University so if there are any other La Tech students here let me know.
Well, it took me a while but I was finally able to get internet access from my dorm room. All of the dorms here are on ethernet networks so I get free internet with the cost of housing. And I really think that all of my good karma that has been missing from my life has finally come around. When I signed up for the dorms I did what's called "potluck" which is where you throw your name into the computer and your roommates are chosen completely by chance. Well of all the people I could have ended up with, I got a fellow anime fan. She's also majoring in art, which is cool (I'm minoring in art). Well I'll talk more later.

Art Update
I've desided to delete all of my old crappy art and start over. I'll be rescanning/redrawing some of my old works for resubmition. So look for a lot more art from me in the near future.
In other news, I'll be leaving for college this saturday. I'll still continue to be very active with this site so don't worry, I'm not leaving (the site that is). I'm also going to try and start up my homepage (finally). My crappy home computer isn't good enough to handle it, and my new laptop isn't hooked up to the internet just yet. But once I get settled in next week I should be able to get started on everything.

Art
I've been looking at my old art submissions lately and I've been debating back and forth about whether or not I should just delete all my old work and start over. On the one hand all of my old stuff is really crappy and has nothing but negative comments on them, but on the other hand, the new work that I'm starting to submit now looks really good in comparison and it's nice to see how much better I've gotten. What do you guys think? Please submit comments to this post on whether you think I should delete and start over or save it for memory. I'll make a decision next week.

Summer Blues
I think I'm finally getting the hang of the HTML codes on this site.
Anyways, Summer seems to be winding down a bit. This is my last week of work. I'm a counselor at a local day camp and I'm with the youngest group of kids; 4 and 5-year-olds. Well, at least this is the last week.
Next Wed I have to get my Wisdom teeth out, all four of them at once! I'm dreading it. It's not that I'm scared of the sergery or anything, I just know that my mouth is going to be sore for a few days after and I just don't like pain.
Well there is some good news buried deep under all this. I'm getting my new notebook PC soon. It's a Dell and it's suposed to come in late this week. I also ordered a printer/scanner combo with it so that means I'll finally have a scanner that works so I can scan in my artwork that I've been doing for the past year and I can finally submit it to the site and have something better to show off besides my crappy art from over a year ago. That means you should look for more of my art in the near future.
Well I gotta go, I'll post again when I got my new computer set up.

Vacation Mode has yet to Wear off
Well, I know it's been nearly a month since my last post. Right after that talent show thing I had exams then graduation. Yes, I finally finished high school, but the reality of it hasn't sunk in yet. I just got back from Florida a few days ago and it was then that I realized that I hadn't been online to do anything more than check my e-mail in a month.
Well as for my summer plans. First off, next week I'm going on a cruise with my girl scout troop. Then the week after I get back, I have to go upstate to freshmen orientation at the college I'm going to next year. After that, I'm going back to Florida for the 4th of July holiday. Finally I'm working for the next 4 weeks as a day camp counsilor. The last few weeks of summer are up in the air.
Well now that I'm off of school for 12+ weeks, I have to get my computer working again. I talked to one of those tech support people over the phone a few weeks ago and he pretty much told me what I already knew (the only reason I even called was because my mom doesn't trust my judgement). Hopefully after I fix it I'll be able to scan in my art again (this is the reason I haven't submitted any art in nearly 6 months).

End of the year brings more work & more anime
Well, I've now entered the final stretch. I have about nine days left of actual school, including two exam days. As of the afternoon of May 6th, I'll be on Summer mode. But right now, it seems so far away, and I have a ton of work that needs to be done before hand.
Also, if anyone hasn't noticed yet, there has been a recent string of new anime being released and broadcasted on TV. Last night was my first viewing of two new series: Gundum Seed and Wolf's Rain. I know Gundum Seed debuted last week, but I chose not to see it then because after Transformers Armada, I swore that I'd never watch another giant robot anime again. But after hearing so much praise for Gundum Seed, I desided to give it a try and I wasn't disapointed. Wolf's Rain I aproched like I do any new anime, I watch the first episode and decide from there whether its worth my time. I was greatly impressed by the originality of the plot and the fluid animation style that any artist has to admire. Also, the fact that Yoko Kanno does some of the music for it, doesn't hurt either.

Talent Show Update
OK, The fact that I am able to post something shows that I did not completely make a fool of myself on Fri. It is actually quite interesting the line up of acts for the show. We have acts as typical as the band directer playing piano and the captain of the dance team doing a tap number to something as out of place as the janitor playing the saxaphone. Anyways, its been a pretty good show.

So Close, Yet So Far
Today is turning out to be better than I expected. Yes, I still have school (in fact, I'm in school right now) but I have one day left till the Easter break and I don't have a lot of homework for once. Only 20 days left of school, including exams and my senior-idis is getting worse by the day. For all you underclassmen, senior-idis is very real and not some made-up excuse to get out of doing homework.
