CHAPTER 5: Lemurtail's secret friend.

As I crept out of camp I took one last look around the camp to make sure no one was following me. I had to meet Rainstar or our plan will be demolished. I, lemurtail, have been sneaking out of my clan to meet this leader for a reason. His clan has suffered many attacks by the rouges. If it weren’t for me then my clan would have wiped that place clean of DustClan cats. I’m the one that told my leader to wait till the are at the weak point. But that won’t happen…I have been stealing leftovers from my clan, mountain clan, and bringing it to the leader for him to share with his clan. I had two fat pigeons in my mouth at the time. Then carefully swept through a hole in the bushes. I have used this hole for over 8 moons now. Once I got trough the thorny part I trotted to the border that joined the Mountainclans and Dustclans territory. I heard some kind of whispering behind me and flung my self around as fast as I could…but nothing was there. So I suspiciously turned around and started jogging this time. I heard ruffled leaves the next, I turned my head to see again nothing was there. Then I started to run not too fast and not too slow. Then I heard giggling…I stopped for a second to catch me breath then turned around furiously. There I saw mudpaw and green leaf. “How did you…what did you…what are you doing here?” I said angry yet confused. “We followed you,” they said at the same time. “Well head on back to camp or ill make you!” I growled. They ran off in to the bushes. ‘There’ I thought to myself ‘there gone’. Then I started to walk again. I padded my way through the leaves and came to a halt as I saw a little stream of water. I was at the border of both clans. I set the bloated pigeons beside me and bent down to take a sip of the stream water. Ten I heard “lemurtail to made it at last.” Said a happy-go-lucky voice. I lifted my head to find Rainstar the leader I have been looking for. “How have you been? Is your clan ok…” “Oh yes they have we have had a problem though…the rouges are attacking way to much. And they are taking all of our food and the kits are dieing of not starvation but of the heat…the heat is becoming such a big problem.” He looked down as he said that. “Don’t give up so quickly.” I said holding up two fat pigeons. “Oh…lemurtail what would I do if you weren’t there to support us all.” Lemurtail held his head up high as Rainstar said that. “Hey mudpaw…isn’t that the Dustclans leader…oh what was his name…?” “Yup its Rainstar alright but why is lemur tail with him?” she said quiet as a mouse. “Owe stop pushing…” I said with anger. “Sorry I just can’t see.” “Well you still pushing so stop will ya.” I pushed her as I said that. She pushed me back…it was like tag only your not running. “STOP IT!” we both said to each other. Just then we both fell out of the bushes. “Owe…” mudpaw said with agony. “Oh…hem…hello lemurtail how was your day?” Lemurtail was staring at us with fire in his eyes. Mudpaw scooted away towards Rainstar. But Rainstar wasn’t paying any attention to her. He stared at my along with lemurtail. Then Rainstar jumped. Mudpaw was sniffing him and tickling him with her whiskers. He laughed as he jumped. Rainstar said with giggles “I like these two what are there name?” I flat out said it “ Greenpaw’s the name, nice to meet you.” He gave me a surprised look. Then out came mudpaws answer, “ I’m mudpaw, you smell good!” “Why…um thank you mudpaw.” He said with confusion. Lemurtail said, “Its best I be going…” then he leaned over and whispered in to Rainstars ear “we’ll get more done next time…” Rainstar nodded with agreement. And took the to pigeons and padded of into the dusty forest. “Hey lemurtail…why didn’t Rainstar attack us at first site… isn’t that’s against the warrior code?” “Rainstar is a wise leader and will only attack if it is a threat to him or his clan.” “Wow…I want to be as wise as him.” Said mudpaw. “Someday you will mudpaw…someday you will.”
