Tale of Saiunkoku~(in other words) Saiunkoku Monogatari
A great movie, truly a great movie. Anither title could be "a tale of many coloured clouds". All about the ancient civilization of china(?). But it is more fantasy. There are two seasons, but so far, i only watched up to episode 31...
The main character, a girl named Shuurei Kou, who is talented, headstrong and of high social standing.. ^^
It talks about an emperor named Ryuuki Shi who is very lazy and doesnt want to take over as the next emperor of the country of Saiunkoku. But there is actually a reason behind why he doesnt want to be emperor, and he also grows fond of Shuurei in time. Other people involved in the tale are Kouyuu Ri, a very smart offical who always gets lost anywhere, Seiran Shi, a guard who has a secret past connected to Ryuuki and is a childhood friend/ protecter of Shuurei, and another guy named Shuuei Ran. Actually, there are lots of characters, and I don't think i can describe them all... ^^
My favourite character is between either Seiran or Eigestsu To, a young intelligent young man who passed the offical exams at the age of thirteen, the youngest to ever pass, and he also acheived the highest score. But whenever he drinks alchohol, he becomes a totally different person. He changes his name to Yougestu To, and he is really good at fighting. At one piont, he stopped a blade with two fingers, and then broke it.
