So.........
What do you think? Good look? Bad look? I am not 100% happy with it yet. But we will see.
Oh I have a question for you? Did anyone read the article "I am but a gamer?" What did you folks think? I thought it was interesting. I did as I usually do and tried to leave some sort of encouraging advice at the end of my comment.
Speaking of that you folks have, at some point, probably me do that to you as well. And I want to know, do I just ramble incoherently? Sometimes I read what I leave for people and even confuse my self. And sometimes I think to myself, "Yeah, that sounds good." Well just tell me when leave the little advice stuff sometimes, do I ramble? I really need to know.
On today:
Being Memorial Day, I didn't have to go to work, but I did anyway. I didn't go in for the whole day though. And I must say after working 9 to 10 hours a day, Monday through Friday for the last 6 months,....
.... it was pretty nice to go to work for 5 hours and just leave cause I could. Not that I mind working the hours I have been. But I am not used to coming home in the middle of the day.
So when I got home I got to hang out with my wife cause she had the day off of work too. That never happens on a week day since she started school. We watched some tv and lazed around for awhile then. We helped her study for a test she has coming up soon.(That made me sleepy after reading her questions from her test prep book for two hours. XP) Then we got to take a nap which is even more rare than coming home early. Then she went to school.
So all in all today has been pretty lax. I like lax. Other than that Just been on here for last half hour.
Well thanks for getting through that sledge I just typed. Since you are such sports for reading my garbble, you all get your favorite flavor of ice cream or cake. If you don't like either too bad.

SO HAPPY!
As I posted this morning, I finally got my copy of Advent Children. I am so happy. My Final Fantasy Collection is that much bigger. As you all know, it is a fricken spectacular movie. I must say the subtitled version is definately than the dubbed version in terms of dialouge. However, when you feel lazy, you feel lazy. Anywho, just wanted to tell you I won't be moaning about not having it anymore.
On to another subject.
Memoirs of a Geisha!
I finally got to watch it. I have been wanting to see it since it came out, but haven't had the opportunity till now. I really liked it. It is a long movie, but it is, to me, really well done. What I liked most about it is that it gives another perspective of culture of the Japanese past. I wanted to see this because I never see movies that come out about the women of Japan and the roles they have had in their history. You always see movies that take place in Fuedal Japan and focus on the Samurai and Shogunate, and even later in timeline, but still about the men of Japan. Well I am rambling and probably confusing someone, so I will quit. Just wanted to say that I really liked Memoirs of a Geisha.
Well catch you laters. |

Art of the Otaku
I am really annoyed with the banner for Art of the Otaku. It keeps reminding me of the money I lost on it. I was one of the first people to purchase it and my copy never showed up. It is pretty frusturating. I am not blamming anyone though. It probably just got lost cause I moved shortly after I paid for it.
Well anyway sorry about the lame post.

Are any of you familiar......
..... with Silent Hill. I forgot to mention last time that I posted, that I got to go see Silent Hill on it's release night. They did pretty good. Of all the movies based on games, it is the first one I think is worth buying when it comes to DVD.
I really liked that they pulled parts from all four games to incorporate into the story of the movie. I was glad that they also set up the movie so that people who had not played the games could still follow what was happening, as well as put in the "candy" that the games series fans would know and be excited about.
Right now I am waiting for a few other movies to come out. X-Men: The Last Stand, and Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest, as well as The DaVinci Code, which I bought the book today. Probably start it this weekend. I have wanted to read it for along time. Just never bothered to go and buy it. I know the movie comes out Friday but, I want to read the book first.
Ok. One more random little note. I was really excited about the weather today(I guess more technically yesterday, by the hour). We broke a new record temp. I love it when it is hot, and it doesn't really last long where I live. The current high was 85 and we hit 90. Oh yeah! Most everyone I know around here is used to the cooler temps, so they hate it when it is hot, but I love it. Normally we are getting medium to heavy rain for three quarters of the year or more. Usually about 10 months of wet weather.
Well anyway, I gotta go to be or I won't be able to get up on time for work. Lots of that. I got my check today and I have 211 hours for the month.(I only get paid once a month unless I take a draw check so....) A normal month is only 160 hours.
K. Really catch ya laters. |

Hey There Folkses!!!!!!!!!!!
So I forgot to mention when I last posted that we also go a new (or rather newer) car. We finished paying off my wifes '92 Explorer, and then we purchased a '01 Hyundai Elantra. The gas mileage is fricken awesome. It even does better than my little pickup.
Well on with the show. So I was so happy to see the U.S. Version of Advent Children finally release. But........ I can not find it at any of the potential vendors near me. I am really annoyed with that. So I think that I will have to go online to purchase it. Although I have already watched it multiple times on the computer, as a collector of the FF Series games, I must own the movie.
I have been pretty tied up for the last while, so I have not a clue of any new things that have come and gone in the last six months in the world of anime. Except that I bought Howl's Moving Castle. I liked it, and my wife LOVED it. I have a few more movies to get to rack up in the Miyazaki collection.
So have you kids (that is a loose term, by the way) got any new things in the world for you? Well catch you laters. |

Welcome back to me.
Hello again everyone. I am finally settled into my new place with my wife, Laura and our cat, Spike(who is female). And as you can see I also have the internet again. I like our new place, for the most part. It used to be a place full of meth heads. But, the new manager, that came on about a year ago, has kicked them out so the place is better now.
I have been working alot. This last week I put in 51 and 3/4 hours. Overtime is open to unlimited, so I have been taking advantage of it.
My wife's school is going well. It is really time consuming though, since she is also working full time.
I was really glad to see all the best wishes from you guys when I left my last message. I hope that you have all been doing well. I will catch you all some time this week. Thanks again and I am glad to be back.

Sad News and Good News.
I just want you all to know that I have not forgotten you. There has been some very painful things going on in the last 6 weeks, hence why I haven't even made it on to just say hi to you. Some of you may remember that I and my wife moved in with some friends of ours. Well that has totally gone south of the earths crust. It is not that it was one couple against the other, it is that the friends we moved in with are separating. There were some really wrong things done, and unfortunately my wife and I were pulled into some of it. Our friends have only been married for 3/4 of a year and it looks like that is all it is going to be.
It really sucks that they are having their issues, but I don't want to be in the middle. Already did that twice when my mom was getting divorced out of both her marriages. So I have been focused on moving my wife, our cat and myself out of the house we are in and into a place of our own again. To further dismay, if you thought that I have been missing in action as of late, I may be gone even longer because when we move out of here in 4 more days, I won't have the internet at home again. I am not sure how long it will be, but we will get it again.
BUT HEY! On to some really fricken exciting news. So another thing some of you may recall, that when I moved to our current house I also finally got to start working in my career. It is going great, but that is not the exciting news.
The BIGGGGGGGGG news is that my wife is finally getting to go back to Flight School for HELICOPTERS!!!!!!! She is only 23 and will be working in her career with in a year. We are both absolutely stoked.
Well, I just thought that you guys should know that I am not gone, nor will I remain gone forever, I will be back. Keep checking and one day when you least expect it I will appear again and see you once more. I really miss getting to chat about anime and some of the wacky things that people put up here. I miss those of you that helped me here and those who were always positive with me. Catch you laters.
P.S. I promise I will come back as soon as I can. Remember to keep faith in yourselves and your dreams. You can do everything you want if you keep driving yourself and depending on those who depend on you. |

Wow! It has been a loooooooong time!
Hey everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I was on. No real excuse, to be honest. Just been doing other things. Work has really picked up, things have been changing around the house, we keep having people over, watching torrents of anime, playing a lot of WOW, trying to get our garage organized......... in general just busy with the other things that the roads of life bring around the bend.
I hope that all of you are doing great and having happy lives. I would go visit your sites and find out but I only have a little time to be on. I am going to a Hawaiian party in a little while and I have to go get a shirt for it. Well catch you all laters! |
