You run over to Inuyasha and get him to sit up. His
hand is still in the same position, as if he's
still grasping Kikyo's heart. You don't know
what to say.... He uses his sleeve to wipe away
his tears and catches his breath. Inuyasha
looks at you with his golden eyes. Something is
different about them, though.... The fire
within them have been drowned out. Something in
him has melted.... Something else is being
created. A new life; a new beginning. Inuyasha
suddenly pulls you close to him and holds you
tightly. You hear his heartbeat.. it beats
rapidly.
"I loved her," he
began. "She had changed me so much.. my
feelings towards her were like no other. One
day, Kikyo pinned me to a tree.... I don't know
why, and I guess I never will. It wasn't until
now had I decided to let go of the question
'why'." He turns your face towards his
gently and whispers your name. "It doesn't
matter anymore to me; I've finally decided to
let go of the past because my future is right
in front of me..." he cups your chin and
continues, "I'm glad I have gotten this
second chance."
Inuyasha's lips
meet with yours, locking into a deep and
passionate kiss. Something inside you feels
uplifted and new... somewhat reborn. There was
no need for words.. this single action is all
you need to know that he loves you, and you
accepting his embracement is all Inuyasha needs
to know that you love him...
So much
happens in a week. A life can change in such a
short amount of time; there is no wrong
decision.. there are just different paths to
take. Every person has a second chance; it's
just the matter of taking it. Every being in
this world can make a difference; we all hold
the ability to change ourselves and others
