Like A Protoss Dragoon From Starcraft, I Have Returned

Listening To:Verbal Gunfight by Jurassic 5
Current Series: A toss-up between Love Hina, and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi

So I've been away for a while. The strange thing is, my ranking has shot up to 471, much higher than it ever went when I was doing daily. Interesting...

Anyhow, today I've decided to post on matters concerning my OB standings. As of now, I Belong to Burori's Legendary Super Saiyajins Club, Baron Samedi's Obcenely Cool People, Shinkin's Shinkin Alliance, and The Vampire: Ed's Cracker Club. I'm also the infamous Donut King according to Ozy Jones. Why am I telling you all of this? I'm not sure. Mainly I guess it's for the shameless plugging of everyone that I've mentioned, but also to tie into how envolver many of us get with OB. I actually have two kids on OB(Digital Shadow, Princess_keiko, ) and two nieces(island gurl,Ryoko T.D.C.). Where was I when all of this happened? Oh well... Today's Pearl has to do with one of my new favorite anime, Full Metal Panic. It is the origin of the name of one of my favorite mechs on the series, the ARX-7 Arbalest, according to the official FMP site. What the signifigance of it is, i'm not sure, but read on anyway.

*!*KIRA"S PEARL OF WISDOM*!*

The arbalest was a projectile-launching war machine used in medieval Europe and based on the principle of the crossbow. It had to be loaded by mechanical means. The word itself comes from two Latin words: arcus (“bow”) and ballista (“projectile machine,” derived from the Greek root ballein, “to throw”). The compound arcuballista was shortened and introduced into English by the French.

Kira signing off.
