Pixel
I got bored at work the other night and drew a picture in Photoshop. It'll be up as soon as it's approved. So even though I don't have a scanner... you still get some artwork. I named her Pixel because I drew her mostly with the one pixel wide pencil. Enjoy!
I am going to Florida next week (Spring Break), so I'm really excited! (And now I ought to pack...) Comments (0) |

Hats
The other day I decided I would teach myself how to draw hats. So I went and looked at pictures of hats that night, and was up until about 5 am drawing hats. I ended up with a smallish portrait of a woman wearing a light blue fedora. It is very cool... if I had a scanner up here I would show you ~_^ She's on my wall now, making sure nobody is sneaking in the window (it looks like she's looking at the window, to her left). Now there are a couple pages in my sketchbook taken up by pictures of hats. Yay! (I am a big hat fan - even if I rarely wear hats... I have to "borrow" one of my brother's when I'm home and in his room). So now I can draw a few hats moderately well - and that's how I learned. Comments (0) |

Oops.
It looks like I didn't take my sketchbook with me to California. I will have to look more in the morning, but I will probably not be able to show you what I've been working on this semester. Comments (1) |

Merry (belated) Christmas!
I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday! I am probably going to sound like a pastor or something right now, but it's from the heart -
The reason for this celebration is a fulfilment of God's perfect plan for this world. About 2000 years ago, His Son was born as a human infant we call Jesus Christ ('christ' means 'anointed'). He bacame human to serve and to teach us as only someone who was here to see and hear and touch could. But He also came to make a sacrifice - he could have lived forever here on earth, with all the fame and glory humankind could give him. But he died a painful death to be the one sacrifice for everything we've done wrong... against other people or only between us and God. Once and for all, anyone who will accept the gift of this sacrifice (which involves taking responsibility for all the things we've done wrong in our lives so this sacrifice can save us), anyone can be saved from death and gain eternal life through this sacrifice. Don't think there is anything too large or too small for it - I know I have done some terrible things in my life, but they are all forgiven. If you have any questions, just send a PM my way. :) Comments (0) |

POCAR update
An ammendment to my previous post. Our POCAR team didn't register in time to be in POCAR this year. Next year it is a possibility. I got up to running three miles once. Good for me. I have sort of fallen out of the training program recently. I need to run again soon or I will just get out of shape again.
In other news, my life is crazy right now. I can't decide what's up with that. I guess it'll all work out eventually. Right now it's hard though. Comments (0) |

POCAR
Purdue Outing Club Adventure Race. Or, Pain On Command And Request. Today I will be (trying) running two miles. More than I ever have in one stretch in my life as far as I can remember. And this weekend I will walk about 10 miles. This is all training for a race in January. 40 miles, two days, January weather in Indiana hills. It's probably the least "sane" thing I've done in my life, and that's saying a lot. We need one more team member... any takers? Comments (1) |

It's almost like Christmas here!
It's SNOWING outside! I love it! And I am very glad I stuck around over break because I get to see the lovely snow. And feel all cozy in my room with a blanket and maybe some hot chocolate later. Or now.
I am so blessed to have not one but two care packages come in the mail on Monday. A bunch of food and stuff that will help me get through this break. And someone from my friend's church invited me to their apartment for Thanksgiving dinner to help them eat their 16 lb turkey!
This is not going to be nearly such a bad holiday as I was dreading last week after all! Actually, it is really a good one! Comments (1) |
