So, I doubt I've mentioned it, as I've not been on much lately, but I got a new job. It is the most boring job in the world, but it's good pay and I can surf the net or read with the vast amounts of 'free time'. Theoretically, I could write too, but I don't feel comfortable writing there.
Anyway, what I wanted to say was, that this job has given me the opportunity to read all of those books I managed to compile over my stint with B&N. Which is quite a number, lemme tell you.
Now that I'm no longer a slave to the bookstore, I can return to being a slave to the books. Which I prefer.
Which brings me to my reason for posting. I'm not sure how many of you may have read the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, but if you haven't you should.
Moon Called and Blood Bound are the only two that have been released so far. But I managed to wolf (heh) them down in a single day. And I haven't stopped twitching for more. Unfortunately, the books are released every January, which means I'm stuck jonsin' til '08. Ugh.
Seriously, go check them out. I don't often rec books (when it's not my Job, and even then, only some people actually asked for one, though many seemed to require it) and very rarely do I shove them at people saying, "Read this NOW!"
