So, school has started again. Not for me, but in general. Which means the store is pretty quiet…until 3. That’s when all the hellions come in! And they congregate in my beloved manga section and make a mess so immense that one would think the monkeys escaped the Central Park Zoo, took the train and slipped into a mass psychotic frenzy.
All it is missing is the poo.
So, today, you could practically see the annoyed throb appear at my temple, as I passed by, and passed by and looked in and passed by….By five, I had snapped. I went in, pronounced loudly that I was going to clean so they all had to get the hell out (although, unfortunately, I could not use the word ‘hell’…*sigh*), lay a V-cart down, and took my sweet ass time cleaning it up. I took a whole HOUR, and delighted in telling them that it was closed, they could come back later.
Justin has already dubbed me, the Manga Nazi, which, funnily enough, has caught on. But, today, Merv took one look at my happy face upon returning and said, “You know that was a waste of time.” To which I replied, “Yea, I know. But I enjoy kicking them out. It’s a sick pleasure, but I indulge it all the same.”
“Okay,” he replied, “Lindsey’s alter ego.”
Too which, I cracked a smile and said, “Of course.”
I then spent the rest of the day with a new name on my tag. My name is now ‘Lindsey’s Alter Ego.’
Bwahaha!
