I lazy. Therefore I am.
Lol long time no see. Long time indeed *counts days from last Friday* Oh well. First of all, thank you for your comment, Kelsey *hugs* Thank you for telling me the name of that font, I was desperate! (not really, but I wanted it so badly >,<) I'll check out Angela Aki's version of "Kiss from a rose" as well, you got me interested!

6 random facts everyone "wants" to know
- I was extra happy when I found the Perpetua Titling MT font for free (you can get it only by paying for it online)
- I wall a picture only when I like it.
- All the freshmen in my high school are emo. No exceptions (kind of relates to me, since I learn there)
- I know more HTML editors than my Computers class teacher (boy, isn't that geekish v.v)
- I'm recently listening to Pink Floyd's Comfortably numb. Every day. Whenever I can. I have that song on repeat.
- I'm hungry at the moment T_T
And because there's no fun without a chain (mwahaha), I tag Lory to say 6 random posts about herself on her next post! *runs to hide and grabs a medieval shield from the local museum*

School, projects etc.
I am very happy now, because I got a 7 in Chemistry today! It's hard enough to get one, the teacher's really "sadistic" when it comes to grading students. If you happen to know the answer to one of his questions, he doesn't grade you. He keeps asking you (in the same class or in different days) until you get something wrong. Then he grades you >_<
As a project, I have to do a presentation in PowerPoint until next Wednesday. The subject can be anything. Though a very good one, in my opinion, would be... *drum roll* ...Stick Man!! I already collected some pictures and drew some in MS Paint (yes, Paint, I still work in it). Some stuff I made:

Movies and music
Bowling for Columbine This one left a bad taste in my mouth. I found it very relevant, though I can't believe some people would actually act like that: a weapon tycoon holding a public pro-weapon conference in the home town of a massacre, massacre caused by the weapons he produced.
Well that was short. I focused on reading this week, mostly for school, but also for my personal pleasure. I borrowed a lot of books from the school library (4 in 2 weeks!) and I still have 1 more to read, then take back.

Goodbyes
This post was actually short! Well, as short as my posts can get. I still have to get the Halloween hand back from a friend (I lent her the hand to trick her classmates XD And it worked!) and finish a Card Captor Sakura vector *sighs* And a Princess Tutu wallpaper. Speaking of which, there's my newest wallpaper *points to the left part above the comments link* Thank you for the comment, Kelsey *hugs* and to anyone who comments and/or downloads!

Thank God it's Friday...
Hello everyone! Missed me? Some of you might have noticed I've been unusually active this week, commenting on friends' sites more often than usual. That's because I managed to find some free time ^^ I'm glad to hear from all of you! Lory, your debate themes are really interesting! If you want, you can write them as articles and I can put them on my site (with credits, of course).

Thinking outside the box
One of my classmates has to go to a debate, and she asked me to help her get ready. She has to pick a piece of paper with a theme written on it, then start to talk about that theme immediately! Some of the themes are pretty odd too, like "I'll be back in 5 minutes." So she asked me to give her some odd, more "philosophical" ones. Here's what me and Nico came up with:
- Artificial intelligence or man-made life? [x]
- Violence: good or bad? [x]
- Clones are invading our territory.
- What is more important in life: the sponge (to erase your past) or the chalk (to write down new things)?
- Poets need a muse.
- Opinions through your and others' eyes [x]
- Does color count? [x]
- Life in stripes or spots?
- Your sidewalk is my sidewalk.
The ones marked with an "x" have already been debated :] It's turning out to be quite interesting so far, I'm enjoying it more than she is!

Today, in Romanian Language and Literature class, I talked almost an hour about one of Mircea Eliade (Romanian writer)'s short stories "Nights in Serampore" (Serampore's in India, if you're wondering; Eliade has shown a great interest in India and written many books about it). Seems as if those years of watching documents on forensic detectives paid off nicely, I was able to sustain a lot of my ideas based on them! Thank God for my imagination too XD

Art domain, as usual
No matter how hard I try, I can't get lazier than this. I am actually too lazy to shrink any wallpaper from my collection to fit the standards here. That's why you can find them all on The Corner Of Art, in big resolutions!
I'm currently working on a Princess Tutu wallpaper, to illustrate the song "Kiss from a rose" by Seal. I love that song, it's so beautiful!

Music, movies & books
V for Vendetta I promised I'd see it, and I did! Like everyone said, it was awesome! [SPOILER]And I'm glad V's mask wasn't removed in the end, I'd rather remember him the way he was XD[/SPOILER] Lory, you were right, V's magnificent <3
Moulin Rouge! soundtrack Woot, I downloaded it at last! Now I can enjoy it ^^ I love Nicole Kidman's voice in the songs.
The Twilight Zone I'm downloading all the 156 episode (crazy me!), and I can't wait to watch them! It was aired on TV before, but I saw only 2 or 3 episodes, which left me even more curious!
The Doors soundtrack I liked some songs from it, especially "Break on through" and "Light my fire", but it doesn't mean I'm going to get the whole discography.
Pink Floyd: The wall I bet some of you are already rolling their eyes as they read the title *grins* I talked about it so much, but I'm thinking of seeing it again!
Death Note Incredible as it may seem, I lost interest in it a few episodes before it ended. All the episodes are in a folder, waiting to be deleted, but I want to finish the series, just so I don't leave it at that. Just gotta find a right mood for it...

On a lighter note...
Ah, posting a week from that unfortunate event... I'm sorry for the language I used then, I was extremely angry. I don't usually talk like that. Thank you for reading it though, I'm happy to see so many people care about what I think! <3

What happened this week...
First of all, my parents went to the Bran Castle last Saturday and brought me a red T-shirt with "a smile from Transylvania" written on it, with fangs, and a hand! Yup, those stuff that people use to prank others - bloody, plastic hands! I actually pranked a girl 3 times on Tuesday with it! He he >:)

[random thought]Lol I'm listening to the radio and Bob Sinclair's new song is on XD I'm basically rolling on the floor laughing every time I hear that sound! Sounds like a chicken![/random thought]

On Friday, my computer crashed (or rather fried) and I had to reinstall Windows -_-"" I did this on my own for the first time, so it wasn't all peachy - good thing I had all the CD's! Anyway, I didn't manage to get the Internet connection to work until an hour ago (now being 6 p.m.). And the speakers weren't working either T_T Damn you, drivers!! But now they're working and I can listen to Monster Magnet and Santana :3 Yup, the current obsessions include Monster Magnet - Space Lord and Santana featuring Chad Kroeger - Into the night!

I'm also annoyed because Photoshop crashed right when I almost finished vectoring the outline of a Carnelian picture ;_; And I lost everything! Damn, those who tried to vector Carnelian's artwork know how painful it is...

Cultural domain...
The Homing [book by Jon Saul] I read it in 2 days, but I wasn't too impressed. The ending was rushed and unoriginal. Who would kill the bad guys by making a roof fall on their heads?! BTW, it's a horror book.
The Doors This movie got be saying "Christ, what a strange movie!". I found it stranger than Pink Floyd: The Wall (I didn't think that was possible O_o). I didn't like it as much as I liked The Wall, though.
V for Vendetta I want to see it so badly!! I haven't yet, of course. Why am I so attracted to these things anyway? *sighs*

Mwahahaha!! a.k.a. Psychology class XP
I found it amusing, especially because the teacher described 2 of my classmates perfectly by looking at their handwriting :D And because she told us that "every genius has a spark of madness". Well, doesn't that lead to some interpretations? *snicker*
After that, she added "look at Dali [Salvador Dali]'s paintings. They are so full of red, anyone can tell he was a madman!" Lol I found that very funny, especially because I adore his art!

Lory I know, those weren't nice things to say, but I was fed up with the system in this country. No one does anything, it's a "let someone else do it" guideline.
Magnus The people who showed the video on TV warned about it having strong violence, but they decided to show it because people need to know what kind of country they live in. And I completely agree with that.
Zakuro Oh, the site was messed up because I didn't finish coding it in one day and I replaced the images too soon ^^" And thank you very much for the compliment on the Carnelian wallpaper, I got a lot of votes for it for the 'Original' category! *happy*

Mood: sick and disgusted. You'll see why...

This post will contain a lot of strong language, so I suggest you don't read it if you get offended easily.

Animal cruelty has no limits in Romania
A few days ago, there was a case on TV. I didn't get to see it "live" on the news, but I saw it today, on the Internet. It is horrible: 3 high school boys kicking a cat to death. This is the video that was on the news. Those breathing beings filmed everything and even laughed while doing it! It is very violent, so the weak-hearted shouldn't watch it. The video is in Romanian, but all you need to understand from it is that they kicked the poor cat until it died under their eyes, in a block of flats. More cases included covering dogs with tar (Jesus Christ!!) and hanging them from trees (not the same guys). One of the 3 persons who did this said the cat didn't fight back. He added they weren't drunk or on drugs. They were fucking high school boys!!
Needless to say, I cried my eyes out at this video.

This "lovely" country I live in
Or should I say this fucking, idiotic, gypsy-infested, God-forsaken piece of human-inhabited trash I live in?! Honestly, how many countries kill as many animals as Romania does?! People here don't give a fuck about animals, they kill them without a second thought! I even signed an online petition (160.000 more signed it) to create an Animal Police department (like that's ever going to have any result!)
Very good advice from me: I don't care whether tourism has to suffer, DO NOT COME TO LIVE IN ROMANIA OR EVEN HAVE THOUGHTS ABOUT VISITING IT! This is the advice of a local!
All the countries, and especially Italy, hate us for our gypsy population. This is racist from me, but I don't care. I haven't seen one honest gypsy person. I'm ashamed of my country, no one seems to care about being nice, like I do, or being polite. And animals suffer the most.

Movies seen
Hannibal For the 3rd or 4th time :3 I love that movie, Anthony Hopkins is a genius! And Hans Zimmer's the composer of the soundtrack <3<3
Edward Scissorhands When I was little I saw it daily XD Not that I understood anything from it. Anyway, this time I cried about 4 or 5 times, if not more. Edward is so cute! I repeat: Johnny Depp + Tim Burton = LOVE! (movie-wise, of course) I have a project to do, and my teacher said it can be about anything, so I'm doing a project on this movie!
Kamichu! I've begun watching it yesterday, and it's very cute <3 An anime series about a girl who discovers she's a God and has to discover and control her powers ^_^
Bible Black I was left with a "WTF?!" impression after it. It's hentai, as some of you may know. The black magic theme was a good addition (the spells -in Hebrew?- actually seemed realistic -are they?) Let's just say, I don't think there's a position those girls/guys/bisexuals haven't tried O_o;; Scary.

Resources of the day:

Bah, school's started. So much for lying around all day doing nothing, right? ;] But the first week was fun, in some weird way.

New teachers & classmates a.k.a. social life
Some teachers from last year didn't come to school any more, so we have new teachers for Romanian Language and Literature, P.E., English, Music and a new teacher for something which might be translated as Business Class. Personally, I find the English teacher annoying and boring. She doesn't even have a good accent >:P And I don't even have a Romanian L&L teacher, because she hasn't shown up yet! Same goes for Music - no one's ever seen her face! Odd enough, most the teachers I liked most have changed T_T Though the Art teacher is still teaching our class <3 He knows a lot about the human body (as in, went to university to learn!), history and art, and this year he's going to teach us elements of architecture :3 He's fun, because he used to tell us how he and his classmates pranked one of their teachers (one time they stole some bones from the morgue and put them in his bag XD).

Aside from that, 4 girls left (one went to another high school, 3 to another class) and 1 boy came to the class. There are now 20 girls and 5 boys XD The new boy (Thomas) broke his arm from the second day! The Maths teacher said "Welcome among us!" (sarcastically, of course) when he shouted Thomas' name and he didn't answer (he was at home). High school is such a jungle XD

Movies I've watched since the last post
I've managed to watch The astronaut's Wife, which I didn't find very impressive. The twist in the end was good, I didn't see it coming, but I was disappointed with Johnny Depp in his role as an astronaut possessed by an alien creature. First time I didn't like a movie with Johnny Depp!
Before that was Batman Returns. I actually enjoyed it as I did with the first! After all, who else bu Tim Burton can turn Danny deVito in to a perfectly creepy Penguin and Michelle Pfeiffer into an incredibly sexy and sadistic Catwoman? Plus the actor who played Batman in the first movie returned! I double recommend it! :3
I don't know if I mentioned it in the last post, but I also saw Severance. On IMDb it said "horror and dark comedy". I hadn't seen a dark comedy in ages (and was longing for one), so I gave it a shot. Not so many new elements, but a good addition was the classical, cheerful music being played during an extremely tense scene -like when the killer was chasing the victims. That was about it, though, the rest was common.

The art we all know and love...or not!
Who in their right mind would give up 10.000+ downloads on their wallpapers in 5 minutes? Answer: I would. And I did. Does that make me abnormal? Reason: I had had it with the low quality things that were still in my gallery, so I got rid of them! They're mostly old wallpapers and I'm glad I deleted them!

By the way, I also finished the vector :3 And here it is, though I warn you, it will take a lot to load for the dial-up users! I dedicate it to Angel Zakuro (even though she isn't too fond of vectors XD)! Hope you like it! *hugs*

Yup yup, I'm back! Unfortunately, tomorrow's the beginning of the school year, and I'm afraid! I'm not looking forward to those long classes of Physics and Chemistry at all >_< Though I should consider myself lucky, because a lot of people from the MyO have already started school!

Notice it? I made it!! I'm so friggin proud of myself ^^ Of course, none of this would have been possible without the help of my dear Lory, with her wonderful codes! I finally learned how to use image maps in ImageReady, hence the cute links on the left ^^ Go ahead, try them lol Anyway, this layout is mostly div layers, and it took some while to do, because I had to code everything myself, aside from the codes from Lory *big moster super hug* This layout features Will from the comic W.I.T.C.H. - I scanned the pictures myself ^^

I know, I know, it's not the anime Powerpuff Girls I've been "threatening" you all with, but it's new fan art! And that should count, right? ;] You'll read all about it in the fan art's page, I'm too lazy to type everything here :P

I tell you, vectoring Carnelian images is EVIL! It is pure PAIN! I tell you this because I'm doing it XD

Gah, nobody answered, so I'll ask again (just for the fun of it lol): I'm thinking of writing a vectoring tutorial! Should I? (or should I just give up XD)

Movies - as usual!
- Hoodwinked! - very funny, I laughed the whole day after seeing the scenes with Japeth the goat!
- Charlie and the chocolate factory - I liked it, although they made minor changes from the book. Seeing Johnny Depp in his full eccentricity was refreshing ^_^
- The Grudge 2 - I don't remember a lot from the first one, but this one was boring to the extreme. I feel more sorry I wasted time on this than I feel about wasting time on Harry Potter 5.

That's about all I have to say for now, wish me luck on the Carnelian contest! ^^" And I won't be online as often as I used to, since I'll be learning in the afternoon this school year and the next. I'll do my best to come and visit you all! Hello all my fans! =^.^= *very "modest"* Thank you for the comments on my last post, you were all very brave to read such a Bible of rants XD *hugs everyone* Yup, Lory, indeed, the diary of a super hero XD *feels too proud of her friends* Oh well, now we have more rants, and especially critics! Ye have been warned!

Tim Burton + Jack Nicholson + Batman idea = visual ecstasy
Indeed! I know how my English teacher always says there's more to English than "X + Y = love", but I cannot resist this cliche! Anyway, back to the plot. I finally watched Batman yesterday! (the movie from 1989, I've watched the cartoons for years! -why doesn't Cartoon Network still air them? T_T) It was amazing. I watched it with my mom and even told her "hey, for a 1989 movie, the SFX are pretty awesome!" And they were *worships Tim Burton* Not to mention the successful casting of Jack Nicholson in the part of The Joker *bows to Tim Burton* Devilishly good, he was, the experience of seeing him as the Joker was enough for this movie to be one of my favorites ^_^ I do believe The Joker is the best villain in the Batman series! Ima gonna watch the next movie too: featuring Catwoman and The Penguin (Danny DeVito!)

Voulez-vous watch Moulin Rouge?
Lol hope I got the French right, I don't know a single word of French XD *dies of shame* But I watched Moulin Rouge as well, the same evening, after Batman. Nicole Kidman was excellent in the part of Satine, and Ewan McGregor was cute as the aspiring writer ^_^ I cried at the end, though, I thought it was very sad -the camera zoomed away from the tragedy that had happened behind the curtains, showing the audience who was still clapping and cheering, thinking it was all part of the show... I thought that was sad. And the music was exquisite! I liked every song, and I'm definitely downloading the soundtrack!

O, castitas lilium!
Yup, I had downloaded the opening song to the Elfen Lied anime, but I hadn't listened to it until tonight. The moment I heard the singer's voice, I thought "this voice is not human!". It is so beautiful, I suggest you listen to it! You can download it by clicking on the player below ^_^ I've been listening to it for 2 days *dreams away*

Thursday, the 6th of September

Yay, I'm back. Lol. I've missed you all so much! *big hugs for everyone* I'm glad I got to announce everything here, so I wouldn't get any complaints about not responding to messages or anything -I didn't do that on Minitokyo and now I have to face 32 notifications T_T Reply to GB entries, PM's etc. But let's get on with the show! (It's going to be a long rant, so get some chips, water and a comfy chair.)

Day 1: Walking about
Not much happened that day. Basically we "visited" the town and the beach. The weather was good, and I was very tired, because I had to wake up at 5 a.m. and got there around 10.

Day 2: Walking + shopping = love
That day we went to the Holiday Village - kind of a fair, with rides and stores, popcorn and horror houses! No, I didn't want to go in the Horror House again after what happened last year >> (I went in with my dad and couldn't see anything because of the smoke, so I wasn't scared. But near the exit there was a girl with a mask on her face who ran her fingers through my hair, and I turned around, saw her and screamed! So much for horror movies experience...)

I was extremely sad when I saw two baby lions tied up near one of the rides. Some gypsies got money to let tourists take pictures of the lions, and I was really sad to see them tied up like that. They were playful, but strong; they had a small plastic bottle to play with, and I think they were confused, with all the lights and noise around them. I left there quickly, I would've cried had I remained there longer; I already had tears in my eyes T_T I can't stand cruelty to animals.

Oh well, the good part was that I got myself a toy frog, that emits a croaking sound 3 times (sounds more like burping! I love that toy ^^). And there was also a ride, the Ranger, which was basically 2 hammer-shaped "rooms" that oscillated in the air (exactly like the hammers in the Pink Floyd: The Wall movie, if you know what I mean). It was fun hearing all those tourists scream ^^ No, I didn't have the guts to go for a ride XD

Day 3: Fun in the sun
Don't you hate cliche's? I do, but what can I say, when that's all I did? XD

Day 4: English vs. Romanian
Yup, what else can I say except that this was a very rare day when the guys from the Jetix channel screwed up and aired all the shows in English. Thank God for small miracles.

I liked Andy's (from What's with Andy?) voice, but when they aired an episode of W.I.T.C.H., my brain instantly froze. Their voices were so high-pitched (almost like in Sailor Moon), especially Irma's. I barely stood though it - I love the Romanian dub, however <3 Good voices, fit the situations ^^ (sorry, couldn't find any clips aside from the opening ones. If you want those, go to Youtube and search for "w.i.t.c.h. romana")

Day 5: Cold? and seagulls
Yup, I got myself a cold, and still haven't given it up XD I'm now proud - I caught a cold while at the seaside... But in the evening we went to the beach and fed the seagulls with a packet of biscuits my dad found on the beach ^^ It was fun.

Day 6: to the rescue!!
*blush* Here comes the bragging part... I rescued 2 girls from drowning. You know, from this story there's a lot to learn. Romanian people say "let someone else do it", but that doesn't mean it's always for the best. Take this case for example: about 20-30 m from the shore, the water reaches half of the distance between your ankle and your knee. It gradually goes up, until there's a "pit" (I don't know how deep the water is there, all I know is that I couldn't reach the bottom - and I'm 1.60 m tall), then the water reaches your knees again, then it finally goes up for good.

In other areas, you can get to the "higher ground" without having to swim across the "pit", but the girls were near the "pit" and couldn't reach the bottom (and they were about 1.70 m tall). One of them started screaming for help, and after a minute some guy who was playing volleyball saw them and started to yell "Lifeguard! Lifeguard!" Now there's a stupid thing to do, considering the fact that the lifeguard was more than 100 m away from where we were. So I went and grabbed one of the girls' hand and pulled her to higher ground. That's about it, I swam a bit to get out of there too ^^

Day 7: I get a request!
From a little girl, who saw me drawing and liked my characters! I had a drawing of Sora on a sheet of paper (it was about 10 cm tall) and she wanted one with Sora, only bigger. So I got my pencils and paper and drew her an A4-sized one ^_^ She liked it, and I'm happy I could do it - I drew it pretty fast, about 15 minutes!

Day 8 and 9 aren't that important to mention separately: basically, I went to the beach ^_^

Day 10: Save our souls!
The day we left Mamaia. We had to catch the train at a quarter to 7 p.m., and then wait calmly to be taken back to Bucharest. All's well up to now. we had to wait 3 hours in that friggin train, in the middle of a field, with no lights in sight, raining outside, because some train had broken down right in front of us! So instead of 4-5 hours, we got home after 7, at around 4 a.m.! (meaning the time it took to get home, not to the train station)

In the train station, we wanted to get a taxi. Another woman (very nice one) was with us, and we had the same route. The taxi driver didn't want to take us where we wanted to go, saying it was "too close" (4 tram stations!). Instead, he took a woman who lived on the other side of the town (naturally, more money on the line!), and we had to go home by foot, at 4 a.m., after it rained and it was very cold outside!

Now to more pleasant things ^_^ There was a cat at the hotel we stayed in! Her name was Natasha! O_o Awkward name for a cat, but she was very cute - brown, black and white! Not too playful, though.

Saturday, the 25th of August

This post is going to be extra short, I just want to say I'll be gone on holiday for about 10 days ^_^ I won't have access to a computer (Internet as well), but I promise I'll have a lot of drawings ready by the time I come home! I'll bring a lot of paper with me *laughs*

I'll come and comment as soon as I can. In the meantime, please excuse this small delay *bows* I'll be leaving tomorrow at 4 a.m. T_T The train's at 6 a.m., but we have to get there by foot (as if anyone can find trams or buses at that hour!). And because you'll all want to know where I'm going, I'm going to Mamaia, a resort on the Black Sea seaside ^_^ In Romania.

Here is a song which is very dear to me, especially since I saw the Pink Floyd: The Wall film. I got to love their music. Very beautiful indeed. This song talks about the way individuals lose themselves amidst the destruction of war.

Early update!
Yup, this update is mostly art-related (again) ^_^" Not much has happened so there really isn't a lot of stuff to write about.

Dedication
I hereby declare the Princess Serenity vector is complete! And I dedicate it to Lory, for being such a great friend =^_^= *big hug* I think she's the oldest friend on my list ^_^ (meaning she's been there a looong time!) And she likes Sailor Moon ;-)

I named it after a song from Ace of Base, Life is flower; I like that song because it's so optimistic and lighthearted ^_^

Future projects
I'm going through a Sailor Moon phase XD I've already devastated the AP & MT galleries, and I found a lot of images (30+ !) that I want to vector. A lifetime will not be enough! But right now I'm working on a (in my opinion) very beautiful picture of Setsuna/Sailor Pluto. You can see it from these screenshots:

The scan is actually bigger and of good quality (in the screenshot it's magnified at 36%). The vector's bigger too (3000 x 3802!), in the screenshot it's magnified at 50%). ^_^.

That's about it for today! If you want to request a vector or wallpaper or anything feel free to ask! I'm getting bored (incredible as that may sound, I'm getting desperate whenever I think of all the images I want to vector @_@).
