What's Been Going On

FYI: I will be transferring all of my posts from now on to my theOtaku.com World: Sayuri's World of Memories Hi everyone. I managed to get some more things done with scholarships. I sent a couple already and the rest just need letters of recommendation and official transcripts (which I did today after school ^_^) So yes. I can finally get my braces off. It'll probably take place at my next appointment (in April). I guess if I really wanted to, I could call them, come in and get them off right away, but my orthodontist office is about a half hour drive, so I think I'll wait. However, Mom's being really irritating. The reason why I got braces in the first place was because I have a missing tooth (it's the canine, so that leaves a nice size hole in my mouth). So we got estimates at my dentist...they're going to cost about $3200. Yeah, we don't have that much money. Mom doesn't want to do payments because of interest. I tried explaining to her that if we pay on time, we won't have to deal with it, but she never listens to me. Then she goes and says, "Why must you always get the most expensive treatment?" It's not the most expensive, it's the only other long-lasting option. I suppose I could get bridgework done (where they just put a fake tooth on the surface of the gums). That can pose major problems especially if I accidently crunch on something and oops! There goes the bridgework. I've got no root to keep it there. That's why I don't want that. Sure, it's cheaper, but I think if it falls out, then we'd just have to pay more to get it fixed. Rather with the implant, I don't have to worry about it falling out. So all I have to say is "screw it". I'm going to get the bridgework now and later in the future, if it breaks or something, I'll pay for an implant myself. I can't wait for Spring Break! =D I have some things planned like spending the night at my cousin's (where we'll probably work out because we're both trying to lose weight), talk about whatever, and maybe go see a movie. I also would like to play some tennis with Kenji because I haven't done that in a while and I really like that sport. I never really gave it much thought until my Econ teacher (who happens to be one of the tennis coaches) asks me why I didn't join tennis. Well, I have David (my brother) to take care of after school while my parents go to work, so that's why I couldn't. Otherwise, I would have loved joining tennis. I have this community service thing at the zoo this Saturday. It has something to do with Easter. I hope it's a lot of fun. I need to find out other things to do for Honor Society because so far, I've only done 5 hours. This event will be another 4 hours. So that's 9. I need 15 by the end of the semester. I know my Pre-College Program does volunteering at "Race For the Cure". I think that's 6 hours. Perfect! That's exactly 15 hours XD I'm so awesome like that lol. So I guess that's it from me! O...M...G!!!

I've almost completed what I wanted for my new Tokko theme. In fact, the only thing I'm missing is adding on a nice cursor. However, I can no longer edit anything because of the new tagboard I added. The coding mingled with everything so now I can't press the "Update Post Styles" anymore. (the button itself doesn't even work when I click on it). However, there is this "TAG" button instead. When I press on that, I get error 40...which is "unauthorized access detected. Please contact administrator". So that's what I did. I left a PM for Adam, but who knows when he'll read it? Perhaps I ought to e-mail him too? -_- I still can't leave a comment either. Maybe this site just hates me now. Oh well, at least I managed to fix my blog so that you can read what I'm saying now (and it fits into the area that I want). I'll see what I can do. If not, then I guess my site is stuck like this for a while. At least it's themed after one of my favorite anime! XD See you all soon! Yo!

Hey everyone! I updated my button list. If you're a friend of mine and you would like a button, I'll be glad to make you a button! I promise they'll never expire because they'll be uploaded to my personal PhotoBucket account. Some sample buttons that I've made for friends would be Anime Artist, mai711, and night shade2. I've also made buttons for other people too, but they're either inactive or they no longer have a myO account XD I'm also thinking about changing my theme a little bit (perhaps promote this awesome anime that I've watched a while back. It's called Tokko and it aired on the Sci-Fi channel during AniMondays). I tried to comment on those who have updated, but I couldn't T_T the box where I put my comment didn't show up! I should be doing my homework, but meh. I've got another day off of school because of President's Day. Man, the presidential election has been quite corrupted that I'm not sure if I want to vote. ^^;; Anyway, all I have to say is that I'm going to vote for Obama just for the fact that he's a Democrat and isn't as extreme as Clinton. However, what ever happened to Paul? He hasn't dropped out from what I've heard. So yeah, I think I'll go ahead and look for some cool Tokko stuff to put on my site. Check out my cosplay gallery!

   Happy Late Valentine's Day! (or Single's Awareness Day...take your pick XD)

How's everyone doing? I'm fine! ^_^ A lot better at the end of the week than I was a couple days ago! I got some really cool gifts! Well, most of it was from my BF, but it's still really sweet! ^_^ I even got a carnation from swtanimelvr, which I totally wasn't expecting because she doesn't even go to my school. Anyway, I guess all of the city's schools were doing this carnation thing where all of the profits go to a local hospital, so maybe that's how she managed to give me one (or maybe she somehow transferred to my school without my knowing...most likely not XD). I got this really cute dog plushie from Kenji and another sterling silver necklace (the one he gave me from our anniversary lost the pearl to it T_T I was so sad when I found out). Now I have another necklace to wear! We ended up going to see "Jumper" (it was either that or "Juno"). The movie was good, but I felt that the ending was rushed. I was surprised the movie ended when it did! It was still a good movie nonetheless ^_^ I'd recommend it. Then I had dinner at his house (his mom makes good meatloaf and potato salad ^_^). I gave him a dragon keychain (that he says he's turning into a necklace XD), some chocolate, and homemade cookies. What he doesn't know is that I'm also getting him an engraved ring, but that's being delivered in a couple of weeks. Right when I was about to leave for home, my cousin calls me and asks if I can lie for her while she spends the night at her BF's house *sighs* I tend to not want to do that because it can lead to my mom knowing too much. My cousin's trying to keep this relationship with this guy a secret. Spending the night at his place while getting me to lie to her dad about it isn't helping the cause. Plus, I'm a horrible liar. What's even worse about this time is that her dad called my house! I wasn't even home yet, so my mom picked it up. That ended up having me lie to my mom x_x (My mother's pretty sharp, but I'm glad she trusts my words). So I ended up telling her that my uncle misunderstood my cousin with the whole spending the night at my house and instead, she saw "Jumper" with Kenji and me so she's back at home. Whereas, I told my cousin's dad that she's spending the night over at my place. He asks if he could speak to her. I say that she's in the bathroom -_-. I just really hope he doesn't call my house again because I can't just keep saying that she's in the bathroom and my mom would instantly get suspicious as to why my uncle called again. And my cousin? Her butt's been saved by me while she's away at her BF's house spending the night there. I told her that this was the last time I do this for her. She needs to sit her dad down and let him know about her BF. Either that, or keep the secret a bit better and don't drag me into it because that could lead to my mom never trusting me again (and that would be really bad). I'm really not a good liar, as I said. So yeah XD I'm off to work tomorrow. I'm going to be giving some cards to my co-workers and boss. Basically, I printed off e-cards from the otaku greetings website and wrote my own words into it ^_^ Clever ne? All right then, that's all from me over here! ^_^ Peace! Check out my cosplay gallery!

What an Interesting Week

Well, I've had a very interesting week. I think I'll start things off on a good note (because that's what people want to read XD). I got this awesome $2000 scholarship to Lewis-Clark State College because of my grades. ^_^ That's considered a lot, I guess. It'll at least cover half my tuition or the room and board. However, Lewiston is a 5 hour drive from home and I'd be really lonely there. My cousin and I are thinking about living together and she forgot to apply for that college. I just want to stay at BSU, but I'm not sure how much financial aid they're willing to give me (it's such a big school, and there are also lots of more smarter people than me there). Oh well, I still have to pay a $25 processing fee to the residence halls. I should have waited a little longer before applying, but I thought that fee can wait until later, but I was unaware of the due date (which was back in Jan 25th XD). So yeah, that's what I have to say about that. Valentine's Day should be fun, I hope. I'm going to give some gifts to my co-workers (because one of them gave me this cute coin purse, so I thought giving something back to her would be nice) I'm planning on making some cookies too (I just need to find a good chocolate cookie recipe...onward to foodnetwork.com! XD) I found some really cute cards at greetings.theotaku.com but I forgot that my ink cartridge lacks the magenta ink, so it just prints in bright blue and yellow (Gah). So I have to go buy another one. I should have just bought the new cartridge in the first place. I originally got the cartridge refilled because it's cheaper, but somehow the magenta ink ran out so quickly, so yup XD. I'll just print them out at school. I'm not very happy at all about a particular something, but if you'd really like to know, then PM me about it. I'm not at liberty to say right now...*sighs* Such a bittersweet week this has been.    Scholarships Make People Bored, Yet Rich at the Same Time!

Hey everyone. I'm so bored now because I just spent the last two hours applying for scholarships that I'm probably not going to win. I'll still try and hopefully I'll get something. If everything fails, I can also go with Plan B and that is: quit the job I currently have as a med aide at this retirement home and then work at a hospital where they'll reimburse my college education after I get my BSN degree. Simple, right? Plus, I'll be making more money as a CNA over at a hospital anyway. Speaking of college stuff, I ended up applying for a residence hall at BSU. Sadly, I picked a single room instead of a double room (boy I can be stupid sometimes), so now I have to go call them and let them know I want a double room (or else my cousin and I won't be roommates). There's still a possibility that I might not even want to live in a dorm. I might want to get an apartment instead (for a different reason, but I won't share that now). Blarg. I would so rather play Final Fantasy XII right now, but there's this scholarship that requires 3 essays that's due tomorrow, so I guess I should do that first before playing the game. Oh yeah, I guess I should talk about how the dance went. It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad I looked good in the dress that my cousin lent me (my cousin's got the cutest clothes! I wish I had her wardrobe sometimes). I had such a unique dress too...and it wasn't the usual black and write dresses that you see all the time at dances. Already Kenji and I are discussing what we should do for Prom *shrugs* First, we'll need money XD. I was hoping maybe he and I could go eat at this one restaurant called "The Melting Pot", but I heard a meal for two is around $60 (or even more!) so it might be a little too expensive for us. I'm a little bummed that I won't be going to Anime Oasis this year (it's this local anime convention held at the Holiday Inn every year around March). All the tickets are sold out...everywhere! XD Except maybe on craigslist but I don't really like online shopping. I guess I'll try next year... All right then, I have to get back to my scholarship stuff and possibly filling out that FAFSA!    Carry On Dancing!

Hi everyone! I'm so bored now that finals are over and there's no homework. A school dance at this time is perfect to wind down from test anxiety, stress, and whatnot. I failed my Math final T_T...but I did get a 93% on my Government final and a 91% on the essay that went with it! Yay! I'm just weird when it comes to things like that. If it's a regular class...then I'll ace it, but when it comes to AP, geez, I might as well not take the test that goes with it because it's like "Why pay money to take a test that I know I'm not going to do well on?" At least I managed a C as my semester grade in Math. As for my Japanese final? I have to say that it was the hardest one I've taken. Especially when it came to translating sentences. I had to write "You are good at drawing pictures"...well, I know "You are" is "anata wa" and "picture" is "ei" finally, "good at" is "jyozu" What word am I missing? "drawing". I don't know the verb for drawing, so I had to guess at it XD I hope I did well on my AP English final too. I didn't finish the multiple choice in time, but I hope I did well on the essay. At least the topic was easy. I had to write about how the actual movement from one place to another plays as a part of a character's journey. I get Tokyopop e-newsletters from time to time (Tokyopop is one of the main manga providers) and they came out with this new manga called Manga Sutra-Futari H. Yeah. It makes me want to get it because of the story line. If you want more info, then click here.    Blarg

Man, this week just isn't working out for me. I had to delete my last post because it made a few people really upset. I guess you can't truly believe in freedom of expression because it will make people mad. I talked with Yuzuki and managed to sort it out with her. I took back my comment about how she dresses. To be honest, she doesn't dress slutty at all; I was just very depressed when I wrote that post. The most "slutty" outfit she truly has is a corset and mini-skirt, and it's not like she wears those kinds of things all the time. I really need to get my facts straight too because apparently Kenji told me some things about her that weren't true (but he thought they were I guess). Today wasn't all that great of a day (and it isn't even over yet). I still have to get ready for work, so I have to hurry with this post. Once again, I'm very sorry for upsetting her and I never meant those mean words. I also found out that she never really liked Kenji in that way in the first place. She sees him only as a friend. I think he knows it too, but infatuations are hard to beat. I guess with finals coming up, everybody's just stressed out over it all. I just hope everything turns out okay and like Yuzuki said, "I hope next week will be better". Check out my cosplay gallery!

   Happy New Year!

Hope everyone's new year's day is going well. So far, I'm anticipating a call that will probably never come (I think my co-worker should just stop telling me that he's going to call. He never does lol). Well, unless he's trying to call my cell phone, which in that case, he's never going to get through because I usually never have it on XD I have one of those ghetto phones where you have to use minutes. Quite lame really, but I guess if I have a perfectly good land line phone, might as well use that (at least the local minutes are free) Kenji asked me to call him at around 12:30 this morning...to see how he sounds when he's had a couple drinks of champagne. He still sounds the same. He told me that his parents were holding him back. Last year, he had so many that he couldn't walk straight. XD Ehh, I don't see why I didn't call him last year then. *shrugs* He's been very talkative, which is nice because it's usually me who's rambling. He's been talking so much that I still haven't told him any news XD Oh well. I'll try again later tonight. I couldn't talk with him that long earlier this morning though because I had to get up at 5 AM to get ready for work. Day shift isn't that bad. I think the most I have to do is get people down to meals and escort them back. Getting people up isn't that bad either (of course, I was working second floor, which is a lot easier than downstairs, so it's all good). All I have to say is that I kept falling asleep whenever there was downtime. XD I get overtime for this I think, so yay! When I got home at 2 PM, I drove my mom to work, went back and plopped into bed to sleep some more. I didn't want to sleep the whole day away, so I only slept til around 4:30. So here I am, blogging and visiting people, when I really should be working on the homework I got last week. I only have a week of holiday break left! O_O If only I just graduated already XD I've got an Econ paper to type up, a good amount of Stats homework, and a book I need to finish for English. I still need to call Itachi and ask him when he wants his Xenosaga game back XD He's lent it to me for nearly 2 years now...I think it's time to give it back (it took me about a month or so to play it through...but it's the fact that I've been doing other things so I never got around to starting the game)! I should also get started on the games that Kenji lent me XD He's letting me borrow Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy X-2. Also the Sims 2, but I'm basically done with that one.    Happy New Year's Eve!

Wow, another year has gone by so fast. I don't really feel any older. I almost had to go into work today, but since I slept through the phone ringing, my manager ended up finding someone else. Yay!
