Spring Break!
|
Hey there! Long time, no post or visit for that matter, huh? Anyway, during the assembly two Fridays ago, I DDRed against juji and I won. Sadly, I felt as though it wasn't official. He didn't know that his screen was on the left and mine was on the right. I hope I don't lose anyone after this, but I was on the left and he was on the right. We crossed our wires for the dance mats around, so it made it seem like juji won. Oh well, when he lost, he had to go eat something from this wheel. He got chocolate. Lucky boy. There were other nasty things on there such as onion, salt, spam, mayo, "turkey dinn" (which was turkey dinner baby food), and chocolate. One day, we'll have a rematch and we'll really find out who's the better dancer. It really doesn't matter because Battle of the Sexes at my school is rigged. Last year, the boys won and this year the girls won. That's the pattern.
Went to the anime convention that was in town last Saturday! Yay! I didn't cosplay this year though -.- I got to meet Alistair Abell (voice actor of Trunks from DBZ, also was one of Koga's buddies from Inuyasha), Michael Coleman (some voice from Hamtaro XD), and Vic Mignogna (Ed from FMA, Dark from DNAngel, and many more!) I'm such a fangirl; I started squealing when I saw Vic. XD I even got his autograph! Oh man, it was so awesome! I hung it up on my wall! I took my cousin with me this year and she had an awesome time, well, til she saw her ex-boyfriend (he worked on staff). Then she just wanted to leave. I do hope she talks it out with him soon. All in all, I had a very good time. I wish we could have stayed longer. The better events happen during the afternoon anyway. We had to leave at 12:30.
I'm on Spring Break right now and I haven't done any of my homework. I only have math homework, but it helps to get started on my English Poetry Anthology. Even though that thing's due in 3 weeks, but you have to put a ton of stuff together for it. It's worth a lot of points too. I'll be sure to get to it during the week, maybe.
I have an orthodontist appointment this Wednesday. We'll be changing the wires and bands this time. I have an appointment every month. Then we'll go ice skating! ^_^ I want to take Lj along, but only if she's not tired enough. She has to work all week this week. Yup, she got a job at a cinema working concessions. She always calls me during her break, so it's like talking with her everyday ^_^. She just spent her first paycheck on yaoi manga. Lucky her.
Anime Artist paid me a visit on Sunday. We talked for an hour and then played a demo of Soul Calibur 3. On that game, you can create your own character to play as and she totally kicked some butt XD Although she just randomly pressed buttons. We had a lot of fun. Itachi wanted to come over too to see her, but he had other plans (he's so social lol).
*sighs* Isn't it hard to get over someone when they keep hanging out with you? Y'know, ever since Shimeru broke up with me, it's been hard for me to get over him -.- He's always talking with me and still sends me the rare e-mail. In fact, he even walked me home one day. He even rooted for me during the DDR event. Mmm, perhaps the reason why he's beginning to hang out with me is because he's gotten over me and wants to friends again. Maybe I ought to do the same too.
Well, that's it for me. I'll try and visit some of you this week! ^_^ Bye bye!

Rapid Post
|
Hey y'all! What's up? Not much over here. It's White Day today...it's also Pi Day too over here...we'll be eating pie in Math Class. Whoot!
This week is Battle of the Sexes and I may be in the assembly on Friday ^_^ I'll be playing DDR against a guy (Possibly juji or some other dude)...but only if I'm able to beat this other really good girl. (some say she's a dancing goddess). I'm a heavy player...but I don't think I'm a goddess. Wish me luck! ^_^
I've come down with a nasty cough...I just love tasting phlegm in my mouth...not. I'm sure I'll get better.
And how would I forget the Anime convention that's coming up this weekend? I'll be going with Itachi on Saturday! Yays! I'm hoping to take my cousin along too, but I haven't been able to reach her. I do hope she calls me back.
Well, I guess this post really wasn't that short, but hey, it was short...I guess I just type fast. Bell's gonna ring any minute now! So see you all later!

Video Games Are Fun!
|
We had a half day yesterday and right when I got home, I finished all of my homework (which was really easy math homework) Okay, so it wasn't that easy. I had a problem like 130a + 240b = 360 or something like that and I don't know how to solve that XD
After that, I DDRed a little, ate some french fries, and then decided to spend the rest of the day playing Mega Man X Command Mission. I finally beat that game! ^_^ Y'know what? I think that was one of the only games I haven't cried in. ^^;; Well, besides this one and the Inuyasha RPG, the rest I've cried a little in the game. Of course, I haven't played that many RPGs, so I suppose it's not saying much. Oh wait. I didn't cry in Kingdom Hearts either XD I mean RPGs of course, I don't expect anyone, including myself, to cry in a game like DDR.
The rest of the weekend will be full of relaxing, exercising (if I can), doing chores, and possibly go on the computer to visit people.
I shall go ask you all a question. What was the origin of your username? When I came across this question, it really interested me, so I thought I'd like to ask you all that too. Let's start with my username. I once explained it in my introduction, but I changed it XD Anyway, "swt" stands for sweet (in case you didn't know) and animechick because I love anime and I'm a girl. That's the simple story. Technically, I stole AG's name. I won't tell you what AG means because for some reason, she gets angry every time I do say what it means, so if you wanna know, go ask her. So what does your username mean?
Random Fact: The inventor of the polygraph, William Moulton Martson, also created the comic book character, Wonder Woman. (I have no idea what a polygraph is...I guess if you were to break it down to Latin Roots, it means "many records")

The Days Go By So Fast
|
It's evening. I'm waiting for dinner. I should really be taking a shower, but I'm going to rebel and write this instead! >D I'm also waiting for FMA to come on! It's such a deep anime ^_^ (I know, it's not really Sunday...the post lies)
The little get together over the English project wasn't all that great. I'm glad two out of the four of us were working well. I mean, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but AG and the other girl mostly goofed off. >.>; Maybe I shouldn't have given them ice cream. I will admit they did some things. They made the props and helped give birth to our wonderful skit. We got the script settled and everything. We'll be having some rehearsal time on Monday (we ran out of time today).
We're going to this party and I hope we get free food there. Tis at a Chinese restuarant. The place where my parents work at to be exact! ^_^ I better find something to do there because usually there's adults there and basically nobody to talk to. I wish I could have a conversation with D-chan -.- I mean, I guess I could, but it'd be like talking to my pet frog. He doesn't respond. It's not his fault. He has Autism, which means he's a mute -.- He can hear and understand me though. Maybe I'll bring my game boy! Now if only I could buy a new game. lol
Hmm. It seems I don't have a lot to say in this post, so I think I'll ramble about the person I hate most in my life and I've known him for all of my life: my father. He used to be so kind to me. He'd spoil and pamper me. If I wanted anything, he'd buy it for me, even if my mom doesn't approve. He still does the same thing up to this day. Right now, you'd wonder why I'd hate him so much. He's really mean to me more than he is nice to me. He always chooses my brother over me. He thinks he knows everything, when in reality, he's pretty dumb. He's so rude and impolite. He's always yelling at my mom every week whenever we go shopping. He's very impatient too. All in all, as much as I hate him, if he wasn't there, I'd probably be incredibly poor. I'm already pretty poor as it is. My dad's working to the bone to pay the bills and the pay for our house. With his money, we still have to pay for about 3 more years and then the house will be ours. He's actually older than he thinks he is. He's always coming home exhausted, and I don't blame him. He works as a chef. Always standing around in a hot, greasy kitchen and never taking a break. He only has one day off and even on that day, he's bitter. He's there to put a roof over my family's head. I should be really grateful he's willing to do this, but the way he treats me just doesn't make it seem like he's worth much to me.

No Homework This Weekend. Heck Yes.
|
How are you all? I know, it's been forever since I've updated, but I'm still alive. Indeed, I've visited a couple of you guys yesterday, so it must have been a surprise XD
Like the new theme? I just decided to go with whatever I thought was cool looking. The song is Hiro no Tsuki (Noon Moon) and it's a song from the anime Outlaw Star. It's really pretty. I have the MP3 of it. ^_^ I've also added a quiz that I made last year at the bottom of the post, and if you wanna take it, go ahead!
I've had braces for about a month now, and already, a wire got separated. Twas the one in the very back of my mouth. It was detached for about 2 weeks now, but I've decided to wait til my next appointment to go and fix it. I hope I don't end up regretting it. My next appointment is this Wednesday anyway, so it'll only be a short wait.
Shimeru broke up with me last week, I think (sorry, but I forget things like this) All I know is that twas the day after Valentine's Day. (Thank you for the V-day card, Hazel Keys, btw!) He said I was too clingy, but later, he said that it's really him and not me. I agree. He wasn't ready for love anyway. *shrugs*
Pre-registration forms for the Junior year were due yesterday. I've decided to take AP English, Accelerated Chemistry, Health Occupations 2, Japanese 2, Algebra 2 (holy cheese, what a lot of 2 classes lol), and US History. Lj and I have to take another stupid Science class because the counselors said our Earth Science (taken in the 8th grade) may not count for some colleges. Grr. Since I had to take another Science class, I'm forced to take summer school. Which leads to what classes I was thinking of taking for my Senior year. I'm hoping to get Math Analysis (aka Pre-Calculus), Japanese 3, Health Occupations Internship, American Government, and Western Civilation. Yes, I'm aware that Economics is required (for those who know me personally, you'd know that Economics is required in my school district for graduating). Anyway, I'm thinking of taking Econ for Summer School. *sighs* and to think picking out classes was really fun for the past few years! In the end, I should end up with 52 credits, so I know I'll graduate.
Got progress reports yesterday ^_^ I got straight A's and I'm on the Honor Roll again. Yay for me!
We have another English project(when do we not have one?). This time, our group (consisting of AG, Lj, myself, and another girl) will be performing a modernized spoof of a scene from The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare. That play is actually pretty darn funny. I still have to finish two acts (AG liked the play so much, she's already done reading it). From the ideas that we gathered throughout the week, our skit's going to be really hilarious! ^_^ Too bad we have to be the first and only people going on Wednesday (we're just that special, I guess).
I'll try and visit some people today, so off I go! ^_^ Oh, and thank you for those who still visit me even though I'm always gone for a long time. ^^;;;

Anyone for Hooky?
|
Ohayo gozaimas, Minna (good morning, everyone)! O genki desu ka (how are you?) I'm doing all right. I don't have school today. Come to think of it, neither does D-chan. For what reason? Well, I have an orthodontist appointment at 10:00 AM and that's just right after 2nd period. I'm getting braces put in. -_- They said it'd take 2 hours. Dang, that's 2 periods long. Wow. I get to miss Math and Science class! Whoot! Well, I guess my parents could bring me back during lunch, but my last two classes usually aren't very homework heavy (just sports med and Japanese), so I thought to myself, "Why bother just going to just 2 classes? I might as well just miss the whole day." So there you go. D-chan has a dentist appointment at noon and he doesn't do much during school anyway, so he gets to skip too (he's in special ed, so that's what I meant by not doing much). Speaking of dentist appointments, I have to go schedule one myself. Great. Right after I get braces put in, I have to go and clean them. Ain't that nice? Starting today, I'll be a pill popper and living on yogurt, soup, pudding, porridge, oatmeal, and soggy cereal. XD Wait, didn't I just state that on my last post? Oh great, I'm turning into my dad. He repeats the same things over and over again.
Chinese New Year is this Sunday. Oh man, it's going to be great! Money, money, money for me! ^.^ I painted my nails a glittery red for this occasion. I started out with a clear coat, then went with a light red base, then added the glitter, and finished it off with another clear coat. They look like Dorothy's ruby red shoes from The Wizard of Oz. I told about having 4 coats of nail polish to Eriku and he replies, "What are you trying to do? Bullet-proof them?" XD
*cringes* I had to be forced to drink very concentrated tea. It tasted so bitter. My mom told me to put sugar in it. I put about 4 spoonfuls and it's still very bitter. I added about 6 different kinds of sugar, milk, creamer, soda pop, and even maple syrup, but it was still so bitter. Bleh! I was thinking about adding an acid in it (like lemon juice), since bases are bitter. Sadly, it's not everyday we have lemon juice, so that's why I had to add so many other sugars. My friends say how so many sugars can make you hyper and give you energy. Well, I think I had a reverse effect. I ended up taking a nap after drinking 2 cups of the tea. We eventually drank all of the tea, so no more >.< My mom got the tea from the restaurant she works at, so she wasn't the one who made it. Her teas are usually nice, sweet, and soothing. ^^;;
Well, not much else to say I guess. Oh yeah, I changed my button page, if any of you care. Now when you visit me, you won't get a pop-up. Can you guys see the buttons? *points to bottom of the profile menu* Yes, tis my awesome button shrine! I have more friends who are buttonless. If you happen to be one of those people and would love a button, I would be more than happy to make you one! ^_^ Just PM me!

End of First Semester!
|
Konnichiwa. I just got finished with finals yesterday. Tis the end of the first semester for me now. Time really flies on by.
I got spacers for my teeth on Wednesday. If you don't know what they are, they're rubber bands that are wedged in between your molars to prepare for putting on braces. At first, they don't hurt much, but later, they make the surrounding teeth so sore, you can't really eat hard foods anymore. That's how I am now. I already miss eating chips, cookies, and apples. I miss eating chocolate bars and chewing gum too because if I do, I'll risk pulling the spacers out and it'll be a pain going all the way across town to pop them back in. (It's not my fault my orthadonist lives almost out of town).
After that, we went to my cousin's house. (Since her house is just a few feet from the orthadonist's office) My cousin and I talked for a few minutes, but since we were so tired (exams really tire us out XD), we just decided to play video games. Played Mario Party 7! Wee! She gave me Fruits Basket ~Four Seasons~ Song For Ritsuko Okazaki, which is this CD with songs from the series. The songs are kind of depressing and happy at the same time. The music is really pretty though. She got it for me when she went to Seattle over Christmas break. She originally was going to get me something from Prince of Tennis, but couldn't find any of it at the anime store she went to. I think it's hard finding Prince of Tennis anything unless you go to an online store.
Yesterday was a lot of fun. Lj walked home with me and we celebrated the end of exams by renting a movie. We rented the anime series Shinesman. If you think of Power Rangers in the business world in anime form, that's Shinesman. That anime's on crack. You know it is when the people's colors are red, sepia, salmon pink, moss green, and gray. You can also tell it's on crack when the main character's little brother's name is Yoda. (I see the force is with that anime. Oh yes, I'm not dissing on those Star Wars fans, I promise!) Too bad the DVD only had two episodes. After that, we watched some Yami no Matsuei. *snicker* All of the main bad guys have funny sounding voices. This guy named Muraki (I call him my favorite albino because he has white hair, really pale skin, pale gray eyes, and wears white) and what's so great about him in the English dub is his nasally voice. In the Japanese version, his voice is rather sexy. Then there's the devil. He's disguised as this doberman with black wings, but when he talks, he has to snort after each sentence. It's so funny to hear him. Then we finished with Prince of Tennis chibi episodes. Well, only a few of them.
I got this call from the lady I babysit for. It's been quite a long time since I babysat her kids. I babysat them from 5 PM to 11 PM and got $20. I guess it's an easy way to earn money. All I did was play some charades with them, play some Barbies, and popped in a few movies.
I won't be doing much this weekend. It's my time to relax after stressful finals. Then it'll be the start of 2nd semester. Oh yeah, I got a letter from my pen pal, Yuki (who's now Haruka Tenoh on myO). It was composed of 4 different letters written over different times. I guess she just saving up money to buy a stamp so she could mail it all. She even gave me this really cool keychain that had "rules" for men on how to treat women. My favorite would have to be "My sexual preference is no" I sent her a 4 page reply this morning. It should arrive in about a week. I hope she gets it soon.
Random Fact: Lightning travels almost half the speed of light or 90,000 miles a second. The sound of thunder travels about 1,100 feet per second.

>.>; I Can't Believe Finals Are Coming Up Already
|
Hello! Sorry I wasn't able to visit most of you guys. I got through about 1/3 of my list, then I had to get off so my mom could call from work (I have dial up). After that, I made pancakes! ^_^ It's been ages since I've done that.
Anyway, when I tried getting back online, there was this window saying my NetZero software was corrupted. I recently saved a copy of the software onto my desktop, but then I tried installing that, it still said it was corrupted. I'm so happy I ordered a CD, or else I wouldn't be able to be online! The version I'm using a little less downgraded (The newest is 8.3. The disk they gave me was just 8.0), but I'm happy with it because it's not giving me any problems. Since the original software gave me problems, it even affected my anti-virus software! It said the e-mail scanner wasn't working. I couldn't even check my e-mail because it had "Server problems" Oh well, all is fixed and all is well! It was sure frustrating me though. So I'm sorry I wasn't able to visit you guys. It's not because I don't want to, it's because I have slow internet and sometimes the internet has issues with itself.
I can't believe the 1st semester is almost over. That means finals! >.< They're coming in 2 weeks. I better study, so I might not be able to visit as much (not like I visited that much in the first place, but more so than ever now).
Japanese Club is very unruly. Nobody ever shuts their traps! The president (who is now this sophomore dude) tries hard to calm the members down. We (Lj, AG, and I) try to calm people down. No luck. AG says she's bringing a whistle next time we have a meeting. We've decided on this month's anime for Anime Week (We watch an anime everyday at lunch for a week). We're going with Full Metal Panic! which I have. Sadly, there's only one episode on the DVD. XD So we're probably going to have to choose another anime.

How are you all?! Thank you for wishing me a good New Year. My new year went better than my Christmas, that's for sure! AG and Lj came over. I made them some ramen (because apparently, they love my cooking). Then we watched some Prince of Tennis.
Speaking of TeniPuri, Lj and I finished watching the series! ^_^ The ending wasn't all that great. It didn't seem quite finished, y'know? It was very funny though and there were some really sweet parts that made me shed a tear or two. I totally recommend watching that anime. Just don't start at the very beginning. It'll bore you to bits. If you're able to bear with it for a few episodes, then it'll be worth it.
AG recently broke up with her BF, but she feels empty or sad. I guess she still had feelings for him. I don't get what she ever saw in him. All he ever did was ignore her and then he goes and flirts with other girls and sure, it makes AG jealous and then she gives more attention to her BF, but that's not how a relationship is supposed to work. Well, I guess he had some good points. They had a lot more in common than Shimeru and me. They both loved anime, they both loved DDR, they both love band. Shimeru and I? We just have a weird sense of humor and sure, he likes anime too, but not as much as I do. He loves to duel, but his deck's really good compared to mine (I only have a starter deck and that's not really good), so we can't ever duel. Oh well. Anyway, I hope AG feels better in the end.
I bet if I were to break up with Shimeru, I'd start being sad too, but probably not really sad because I get over guys very quickly. Of course, Shimeru is different. He's been like the best BF I've ever had. I've never cried over a break up before. Perhaps if we did, it might be a different story for me. *shrugs* All I know is that things are going too well for us to be breaking up ^_^ Okay, things are going incredibly slow, but I'm trying to savor each day I spend with him.
I want to give a happy belated birthday shoutout to Haruka Tenoh! She turned 17 two days ago! ^_^ She used to be called Yuki-sama, but changed her site. We're still pen pals, even though it's almost been a year since I've gotten a reply from her. I'm not angry with her though. She's been having some issues, so yeah. Please visit her and wish her a happy belated birthday for me, all right?!

New Theme
|
Hey there! I changed my theme. I really like Excel Saga, and since not very people have known about it, I think it's the perfect time to present it! ^_^ Well, this anime is one of my favorites! Why? It's about the most random, weird and funniest anime I've ever seen (Other than Prince of Tennis, which is just on crack for a sports anime). It mocks other animes, has random moments, and even has a girl who throws up and dies every few minutes, who just happens to be my favorite character in the series. So if you like randomness, that's the anime you should check out. Even my own boyfriend likes it, and he's not a hardcore anime fan (although he really enjoys randomness). I hope you like it! ^_^ I tried looking for the opening theme in a midi. Well, I ran across three websites with the midi I wanted, but they're all the exact same! Oh yeah, I went with this blog because it reminded me of Chinese New Year, which will be here in about a month! ^_^ Yay! Money for me!
My Christmas wasn't all what it seemed. It wasn't peaceful, it wasn't happy, and it wasn't even merry. The long distance company didn't connect any calls for us for some reason. Maybe it was because we didn't tell them we switched our local company. We tried calling the long distance company that day, but they said it was closed on holiday. That totally made my dad mad and when he gets mad, he takes it out on someone and that someone was me. The next morning, he kept telling me to call the company and to stop being lazy and then he adds why I always have to starve D-chan. Hello! D-chan weighs well over 200 pounds and he's only 13! I don't think I'm starving him! I like to take it slow when I just wake up and I'd like to feed myself before doing anything like call people. My dad knows English, so why doesn't he ever call the companies? I sometimes can't call them because I'm not the dicision maker in the household!
Oh man, my Christmas break is ending soon. I'll be heading off to school again this Monday. I was planning to kill off AG's BF (for many reasons, but I won't ramble about it), but I think I'll try and convince the Japanese Club advisor to make him not president anymore. He's the worst president ever! I hate how it has to be a senior. He's like the only senior in the club now, so it doesn't make much sense. Heck, I'm a sophomore and I can be a better president. Sadly, I'm just the vice sophomore representative.
I finally beat Final Fantasy X! Yay! That game was so much fun! ^_^ I started crying at the end though. I won't tell you guys why unless you really want to know because I know how some people feel about spoilers. For me, I love spoilers. It gives me something to look forward to. Sometimes, the suspense just kills me!
I helped someone with her site. I added a blog, some music, and page transistions. If you ever need help with your site, feel free to PM me. My site (advertised in my intro) can always be a great help too. I've added practically every code that I know of so far! All you have to do is search for whatever code you want, copy and paste!
Random Fact: Male misquitoes are strictly vegetarians. They feed off flower nectar. (oh man, does this mean it's just females that suck our blood and sometimes causes those deadly diseases?)
