Life After School
Well, that's it, I guess. heh I've been out of school for nearly a month already (very hard to believe, since summer feels like it's barely started), and graduation was just over a week ago. I'm finally done with high school, and have reached a point of education in my life where some people stop after completing. This is just the beginning for me, of course, though. :p When the summer is done, I will be starting at UMBC, a 4 year university located in Baltimore, about an hour from where I live now. I will be living on campus, however, because I feel that that is really the best way to fully appreciate what college has to offer.

A lot of people have asked me what I will be studying at UMBC, but at this point, I really have no idea. Not only is my major undecided so far, but Course Selection Day isn't until later this month, and I'll probably have to alter my courses accordingly once my AP scores from Calculus, Psychology, Studio Art, and Computer Science are released in July. I'm honestly open to just about anything in terms of courses. There were obviously strong and weak points as far as high school subjects go, but I'd like to believe that at the level taught in college, my choices have far less limitations. I think that I plan to take my basic courses first that I need for graduation anyway, and sort of narrow down what I feel most confident in.

I know a few things that I'd like to study, anyway. Like Japan, for example. I understand how cliche it must sound for me as an anime fan to say that I want to learn Japanese, and about the culture and everything, but I really do think that both would be pretty interesting. Just as difficult, yeah, and I never exactly did that great at learning Spanish, but at least with this I'd have the motivation, because of how pathetically involved my life is with Japanese anime, video games, movies, and whatever else. Other than that, I've found that I enjoy Psychology based on what I learned this year, and that I can't stand complicated mathematics.

My summer so far really hasn't been too exciting to talk about, I'd say. Mainly I've just been staying up late, sleeping in late, hanging out with friends, etc. To me, the summer still hasn't completely sunk in, and is still waiting to shed itself of immediate excitements and events. Once it has, I might start looking for a job, something that I feel I can do without, but will no doubt bring in plenty of useful money when I would normally be doing nothing anyway. Somewhere that would have the most relaxed hours would be best.

I got an iPod the other day. It's one of the 20 gig regular ones, and it's definitely as cool as everyone makes it out to be. I already had the money from various graduation cards, and it's so much more convenient than lugging around a CD player (mine doesn't even work anymore) plus however many CDs, especially keeping in space issues once I go off to college. I only have around 2 and a half gigs on it so far, so sure, I could have gotten the 6 GB mini in theory, but I think that at some point I'll have to start deleting music to make room. For $50 more, I could invest in a much longer term device, so why not? I was already getting a $30 discount for being a student, which is awesome.

Now that I'm out of high school, I also have to think about my promise to myself not to get involved with relationships until I graduate. And now.. I'm out, but I'm still in a strange state. I mean, there's so much time to be looking and thinking about it, but I'll still be moving at the end of the summer, and I'm not looking for a seasonal fling, if you know what I mean. And then there's this one girl.. but this probably isn't the place to go into all that. Besides, whenever I start to fall for someone, it always ends in disappointment, so I might as well not try anything drastic quite yet. I just want to figure out why it always happens like this; maybe I'm only attracted to girls who are way out of my league? Or because I'm not a good judge of signs or hints? Oh well, the thing that's always worked for me in the past is just ignoring this relationship crap altogether. I just don't want to get into the habit of continuing to do this, because a part of me really wants to actually try it.

Alright, that's it for now, back to hibernating. :p

Annie: Yeah, my soccer team wasn't too great. It wasn't the worst, though. Maybe somewhere in the middle of the league. The tests sucked, and we still haven't had many chats.
Shin: In time, you'll realize how much better Family Guy is. I feel this is just a phase.. :/
Sen: Wow, I never thought about it like that. Tell me more.
Japan: I like to take my time with updates.
Mimmi: Yay, the avatar changed!
Lea: I'm grateful that you're posting, at least. :p
Roxeh: I'd say I'm alright at soccer. I know I'm better than a bunch of kids on the school team, but I just don't have much of a commitment.
Gotex: Be sure to cherish this moment as well. ;)
iluvsasuk: You silly kids and your drugs. :)

Holy crap, Hell has frozen over
Yes. You're not hallucinating; I really am updating my site. Unless you see swirly colors everywhere.. then put down the marijuana and concentrate, because I'm going to catch you up a little bit. :o Of course, it's been almost 3 freaking months, so there's no way I'll be able to remember everything.

...

Well, I don't really remember what happened during those three months, so it probably isn't important. All I know is that my pathetic daily routine consists of coming home, sleeping until 6, eating dinner, then doing homework until I have to go to sleep. I get to the gym if it's 8:00 and I can make it, and on Fridays I go to this anime club at a friend's house for about 5 hours. And we just started up soccer season, so we practice on Wednesdays and have games on Saturday or Sunday (or both).

So there you have it, my boring life. lol But I like it; devoid of melodrama and such, and I'm used to it. You may also have noticed that I'm really not online much anymore, but that's mainly because of the homework that takes forever to do if you're lazy and enjoy procrastinating. By the time summer comes (assuming I'm still a bum without a job) I'll be back to my normal routine of keeping up with online.. hm.. activities. We gotta get some more freaking chats going, people! What's up with that? :/ May 20th is the official last day for Seniors, so it's really coming up quickly, and I can't wait. Go us.

And because I can't think of anything else to talk about, I'm going to bore all of you with stuff about my soccer team! :D

This season has played out a lot differently than before. In the past, once people got to a certain age, they would play in a rec league where there are 6 players on each side on a small field. It was fun; there was more of an emphasis on individual player talent, and you didn't have to run as much, so I got used to it. Now, however, they've brought back 11 vs. 11 which I haven't played since.. well.. a really long time ago. <.< I’m apparently not the only one who isn’t used to this set-up, either, because my team just sucks. Well, I shouldn’t really say that. They do deserve a little credit. In the first and only practice before our first game, which was part of a tournament at the beginning of the season (what the..?), I could tell that our team had a lot of great talent. After 4 games, I should rephrase that: our offense has a lot of great talent.

I mean, come on folks: if a ball comes down to the defensive side of the field and there are opponents coming up trying to get it, are you going to clear it away, or just sit there and play with it? And without a good, or even decent defense, you can’t win games. We haven’t won a single game yet, which has been disappointing since I don’t remember the last time I was on a team where this happened, but what’s more frustrating is that I can’t do anything about it other than yelling at them to clear it quickly. I’m an offensive player, myself, and my coaches usually put me in a position where they need me to score. In the game before last, I tested my theory about our defense after the other team scored three goals in 10 minutes, by going back and helping them out. They didn’t score again, but neither did we, so damn.

The defense is slowly getting a little better, I suppose, but I think we need to even out the talent so that we have people back there who are good and can kick it up field.

-.- *sigh* [/pointless rant]

The end of the school year also means the beginning of major testing, so a lot of my classes are preparing with practice AP tests and the like, and it’s starting to stress me out a bit, I guess. I’ll be more scared when they’re about a week away and I realize that I don’t remember anything from the entire year, but until then, I should be alright. On the last day of school, we get to go on a trip to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania, so that should be lots of fun. And to top it off nicely, they even have a DDR machine. ^.^ Been playing a lot of DDR lately in general, but in the past week or two I haven’t gotten the chance. Oh, and they have the Red Octane Ignition 3.0 out now, so I might end up just getting that instead of that plan where I was going to build my own metal pad. I’ll just need to do something about my carpet, like put down wood or a harder carpet over top or something.

I’m really excited about the prospect of finally going to college. New Student Day is this Saturday, which is a time to browse the campus again, meet other students, sign up for classes, and check out student organizations and such. I know that they have an anime club and DDR club, so that last part is something I’m especially looking forward to.

Guess that’s it for now. Until next time, inexplicable readers.

Oh, and as for comments, I don’t know why I bother, but:

Annie: Yeah, if you thought it was a while for my last post, you probably jizzed your pants for this one.
Shin: Woops! *drops match onto Futurama flag and watches happily as it burns on the ground, then pisses on ashes* ^_^
Mimmi: Change your avatar. For all our sakes! But yeah, glad you liked the layout and pictures, lol.
Annie: You must see Samurai Champloo, but in the meantime, I am happy with the long comment. :p
Baron: Hell yeah, that pimp mobile is so.. well, it kind of sucks, but. It looks old-school, so that’s what matters in the end.
PT: Major props to Des, then. ^_^
lea: Yeah, I won’t be able to live once I get to like 25.
Ryudo: Yeap, yeap. The DDR look needed a change. And I was bored.
iluvsasuk: Oh yeah, blood and guts. My type of movies. Who needs anything else?
Chibi: Haha, thanks for the compliment on the eyes, and sure it’s okay to add me to the friends list.

OH. And before I forget! KITTYLYNN CAME BACK!!111!1!1!1 I think, anyway. She has made a few posts lately but who knows if it's for good. We can only hope. *crosses fingers*

Champloo Rampage
Hey all.

It's been a while, lol. I guess that means I'm becoming lazier. Or busier. Or both. AP work as the year trudges on certainly isn't helping matters, but that's to be expected. :p Sorry if these comments are.. um, a little dated. XD

Arc: I can never make myself study every day, lol. Sometimes it just feels so tedious.
Karmi: It's not really so much that I think I was immature however long ago, but I can't even remember how I acted, so I'm assuming that I was, if that makes sense.
Shin: Don't flatter yourself! Futurama was only there because I had a Hell of a time thinking of a somewhat decent 10th cartoon. >:| And why isn't Metroid Prime on your video game list?
Wondershot: Oh yeah, Lock Stock stomps all over Snatch, in my opinion. But aren't they the only two Guy Richie movies? And about beating Animal Crossing.. I was thinking about that, lol, and basically I mean just collect all the items for the museum and get most of the furniture.
Baron: Yeah, a year can do a lot, I imagine. Even a single incident can have varying degrees of impact. :o
Shin: Yes, yes I have. I think only five people regularly visit.

Annie: Haha, shameless indeed..
Shin: It was supposed to start right after the post. <.<
Baron: See above.
DDG: Aww, but the muffins are so tasty with my butter. ^.~

Sen: *steps away slowly*
Azure: Are you kidding? Senior year is one of the most stressful in high school!
Mimmi: Bah dum chi.
DDG: I never learn. :o
Sesshomarufan: My teachers pity me.
Mitch: I told you online before, but if anyone else is interested.. I'm on Heavy mode on DDR and can ace most 9 foot songs.
black orb: That's a shame.

Obviously the first thing you probably noticed when you came to my site was the new layout. I decided to change it up a bit since a) I've had that DDR one for a while now, and b) Samurai Champloo is so orgasmic that I needed to honor the series. Props to Alex for the coding needed to make the background stay put, and to.. my DVD for providing all of the pictures! :D I'd say that I'm fairly satisfied with the end result (otherwise I'd be working to fix it right now), so I hope you are too because it'll be here a while. What do you guys think?

I got Samurai Champloo last Monday when I got back from my skii trip, and so far I’ve probably run through the DVD at least five times. :O I ordered the box set so that I can collect the other DVDs as they’re released, which totals 7 in all, because Geneon doesn’t try to rape you of your time, money, and space. Geneon > ADV. The case that it came in was just so nice looking, too. It’s completely red and the pictures are really cool, and the quality is excellent all around; this will most definitely outlast the case that ADV provided for Evangelion. And on top of that, the set came with this bitchin’ bandana:

You wish you had one.

I had a lot of fun just wearing it randomly around the house for long periods of time. I would have worn it to school if they had let me.

..yes, I’m a major dork if you haven’t figured it out yet.

So yeah, if you were wondering where I was last weekend, I was skiing up in New York at this place called Greek Peek. I figure that I might as well mention the name, because someone in one of my classes had actually heard of it and I thought that that was kinda bizarre. My family went up there early on Friday, since we had a teacher workday and schools were closed, and we got back sometime on Monday. I think you guys might get a kick out of where we stayed:

Recognize the name?

The place that we stayed in was owned by some family friends that came up as well, but unfortunately the guy who is around my age and who I usually hang out with was off at college, and couldn’t make it. So when we were on the slopes, I skied with my little brother and his friend from the family we were staying with. Here’s a picture of his friend snowboarding:

He tries so hard. ^_~

Off the slopes, we played intense multiplayer games, watched Napoleon Dynamite, and I was able to get about 7% done in Metroid Prime 2 which, if you’ve played the game, is quite a lot, haha. It was really refreshing to get a chance to play video games, too, because lately I really haven’t had the time to for whatever reason.

Skiing itself was fun, but there has been unusual warmth this season and nearly half of the courses were closed off. They had the snow blowers going and everything, but it really wasn’t enough to prevent huge ice patches like this:

Face!

Plus, I still have to get rental skis despite skiing every year for the past 9 years or so. My parents were holding off on my brother and I getting our own skis because we really only go once a year, and we’ve been growing a lot. I don’t know about the former, but by now I really don’t see myself having any more large growth spurts. As a senior in high school.. do people generally grow any more on average?

While we were skiing, we’d sometimes go into this building to get food and take a break, and they had some great popcorn chicken. It was funny, though, because when you would get a drink, they had this sign up (note the previous picture):

Irony at its best.

Speaking of food, I ate a LOT over the weekend. We were going out to eat all over the place.. I’m surprised I didn’t gain like 10 pounds, haha. That’s metabolism for you, I guess, and.. predisposed genetics? I dunno.

For this past week, homework has been pretty nice. I’ve gotten right on it and had it done and out of the way, and there hasn’t been a lot; hopefully I’ll be able to keep this up assuming that my teachers continue not to give me much. :p

Wednesday.. they called for snow flurries in the middle of the day. Of course, at around that time, I was sitting in 5th period and the blinds were closed, but at the end of the period someone got up and opened them, and it was really coming down. Lol So that tormented us for the rest of the day, since they decided not to let us leave early, but some parents either came in to pick up their kids or called and gave them permission to leave early. My friend actually got to leave 6th period when his mom called and said he could drive home. In the last period of the day, 7th, I had art and nearly the entire class (read: 5 or 6 people) went outside to play and take pictures in the snow, while I stayed inside where it was nice and warm, lol.

When the bell rang to leave, I tried to get to my car as quickly as possible in an attempt to beat the busses, but I had to go to my locker, and those precious seconds caused my brother and I to barely miss getting out. Like the last time it snowed, I could tell that the car was starting to do something funky, so I pulled into a parking spot and turned off the car, waiting for everyone to leave before I attempted to go. Everything was going smoothly until I reached the lane where I had to make a u-turn to get to my neighborhood.

I think that I was going about 60 mph, and slowed down to maybe 45 once I got into the lane. I pressed the brake, but.. nothing happened. It was probably working, but the car wasn’t slowing down at all, and I had no choice but to go straight into the median strip. At this point, the car finally slowed down to 0, lol. My brother got out of the car and decided to run home and tell my mom what happened, while I stayed in the freezing cold wondering what the Hell I should do, when I looked over and saw a sign for Chuck’s Towing with a truck already coming out to help. The guy helped tow the car to my house and determined that the only thing wrong was that I had a couple of flat tires, and he replaced one of the tires. At this point, though, the car isn’t drivable for whatever reasons my dad found, and I have to drive the other car that we have, which I’ve named my pimp mobile. :p Ah well, better than taking the bus.

On Thursday we already had a 2 hour early dismissal because of the end of the marking period, and the school officials determined that the snow was enough to account for at least a two hour delay, so we got off entirely. I think I spent the day watching Bond movies and just relaxing.

To end our three day school week, I had an anime club party at my house on Friday, which turned out to be a whole lot of fun. Seven people showed up (mainly girls :p), and we watched anime and movies from 6 to 11, including Samurai Champloo and Colorful in terms of anime, and Shaun of the Dead as the movie. My friend also brought Paranoia Agent, but we didn’t have time to watch it, so maybe next week. All in all, it was a blast, I’d say. I had some crazy tickle fights with this one girl who basically cuddled up on my lap the whole time, haha. <.< ... >.>

And that about covers it, I think. Oh, and if you ever visit my deviantART site, I just added a bunch of new pictures, so be sure to check them out and comment. ^_^

Fuck
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.

I spent 12 and a half hours doing homework yesterday, and still didn't get one of my drawings done, and opted out of doing my Calculus test because I thought that we come back from breaks on A days, which means I would have Psychology instead.

Well, I was wrong. I'm fucked.

EDIT: During Calculus, I was almost ready to throw up until the very end. This was the ONLY test this quarter, accounting for 40% of our grade at the least, and she wanted it TODAY, even though I hadn't even started and didn't know we had class today. But she gave us to the end of the class period (which is an hour an a half long), and I actually got most of it done, and at the last second she said I could finish it up tonight. It'll take me a little while to calm down..

Still have one picture to draw for art.

Not going to be online
You probably won't be seeing me online at all today, because I really need to get that homework that I referred to in my last post finished. So I'm just letting you all know, if you do see me, please remind me that I shouldn't be online. >:| We'll see how much of an addiction it is, lol.

I'll make another post a lot later if I do, in fact, finish everything. My day begins at 10 hundred hours. ~_~

P.S. A big thanks to everyone for the 100 guestbook entries! :D

And if you didn't notice, I posted again yesterday.

Happy New Year!
That last entry was more of a spontaneous thing, in order to actually make a post before Shin popped one out like he always does. XD I was also a little hyper from the chat last night, and if you were in it, you’ll know why, hahaha. That was the best chat I’ve had in a while, I’d say. It’s always fun when there are a bunch of people online and you get them all together just to go crazy. :p Unless, of course, you’re going to stay in that chat for nine freaking days straight, which is one thing that I realized not a lot of people are mentioning as one of the big moments of ’04: Teh Silly Circus, which will always be remembered as the chat that scared everyone away from chats. O_o Yes, it took us quite a long time to get over that one..

Shin: Haha, that scene with the classes and government was pretty funny, almost as much as the scene with the bunny was bizarre. XD
Japan: Tan? o.o In the winter time? You’re crazy, Japan!
Arc: Yeah, thank god for mapquest.
Baron: You’re spoiled with your warm weather. :/
Annie: “You’re arm is laying on the ground!” “I’ve had worse.”

Karmi:
Shin: Your post was shameful enough. >:O
Manic: d00d, lik that 3ntry took 4-eva :(
Azure: This post is for you, Azure. :-*
Baron: And I’m too stupid to steal your ideas! So there!

Wow, it’s 2005 already.. I’ve got a lot ahead of me this year. Being my senior year of high school, I’ll be graduating, and going off to live at a 4 year college in the fall semester, assuming that I get those college applications filled out and sent out. I already have my two teacher recommendations (one from this year’s English teacher, and one from last year), my essays for both schools that I’m applying to, and a resume to sum up everything that I’ve done in high school so far, so all that’s really left is for me to tackle those applications.

As of now, I’m leaning towards the University of Maryland in Baltimore County in case I’m accepted to both schools. The one I’m looking at is easily the more difficult to get into, so you could call my second choice, Salisbury University, my safe school. I like to be challenged, though, and if I can get into UMBC, I feel that I’ll be motivated to go that extra step in my studies. Of course, there’s also the fact that the community is exactly what I’m looking for: a suburban place leaning towards urban in the sense that there’s a lot to keep me occupied and entertained. Case in point, there’s a really cool mall about 10 minutes away that opened only a few years ago, with a great Muvico theater that has a DDR machine in the arcade. ^.~ And then there’s the fact that the campus is so diverse in cultures, it would help me get away from this boring hick town that I live in right now, and apparently they have a strong appreciation for anime and DDR, as I’ve heard that they have clubs for both. I’m sure I’ve discussed this on myO in the past, though, so I’ll move on. lol

It’s kind of funny, in a way.. a year ago, as we moved into ’04 - looking back I have a lot of trouble remembering exactly how my thought-process went, if that makes any sense. O.o And in general, this applies to just about anything in the past; I can’t retain how I saw and understood things during past experiences, and it really bugs me. lol I don’t know if it’s just me, but I tend to just assume that I was an idiot a year, two years, five years back, since I’m always learning something new and changing, but I realize that back then, I said the exact same thing. What happens when you do that, however, is that you subconsciously associate everyone younger than you as idiots as well, even though this is far from fact. :/ I mean, you have to at least come to a point where you respect the person who you were in the past, right? Maybe that’s not so much waiting until a specific time as coming to terms with things in yourself, but I dunno. Just something that’s been on my mind lately.

I know a lot of people are probably making their new year’s resolutions, and I have a few of my own, though I doubt that they’ll last for very long. lol But eh, I’ll try to make them as realistic as possible.

1. Minimize procrastination. There’s no way that I’ll get rid of it completely, but it’s starting to get in the way of getting things done. >.o
2. Try to be a little more outgoing. I tend to keep to myself a lot, but I would like to open up a little more without actually changing myself.
3. No more crushes for the rest of the school year. :p I know you can’t help who you like and all that, but if I just tell myself that I have higher priorities, I think that they will have a tougher time sticking.
4. Complete to-do list by the end of the year. Listed below:
-Finish reviewing Love Hina series
-Finish reading ‘Enter the Net’
-Finish writing fan fiction
-Find a job
-Watch .hack//SIGN, Samurai Deeper Kyo, X, Tokyo Godfathers, and Angel Links
-Beat video games: FFVII, Viewtiful Joe, Animal Crossing, Metroid Prime, Tony Hawk’s Underground, Metroid Prime 2, Twin Snakes, Snake Eater, Mario Power Tennis, Red Faction

Isn’t it great how on New Years you tend to look to the future and see what your life has in store for you for the coming year? Well, maybe that’s just me. Nevermind.

I spent most of this week at the beach, from Monday to Thursday (explaining my absence in posts – imagine what Shin would do if he had my family XD). It was pretty fun, and I took most of the time playing video games (I bought Red Faction at an EB games down there) and watching movies, and not doing an ounce of homework. And that basically leaves just today and tomorrow to read this diary for English and make a chart about the person who wrote it, take a bunch of pictures dealing with “silence” and choosing four to do amazing drawings of, take a really long calculus test, and do a packet for Psychology. I think it’s safe to say that I’m fucked. :D New resolution: STOP PUTTING OFF HOMEWORK.

I think I’ll end my post praising both Mario Power Tennis and Metroid Prime 2. For one, Mario Tennis is just so beautiful on the ‘Cube and an excellent game like its predecessor. Metroid Prime 2 is also just as good as the first, and I’m about 8 hours into it with 18% complete, since I love to scan just about everything and go back to old rooms to see what I can now do. I should probably make a post on OB in their respective threads one of these days.

A second Christmas?
I decided to go out to Best Buy today and pick up some things that I talked about in my last post. Luckily, they had all of them too, except for Red Faction, because even though it was made into a best seller, it was far too old for them to carry it, apparently. :/ It’s cool, though; I’ll be preoccupied enough with what I have now.

mal: Yeah, imagine trying to watch the entire extended series in one sitting. @_@
chei: Happy Holidays, thanks for the comment. ^_^
Annie: If I stink, I can’t tell. XD Maybe I do.. <.<
Shin: Special Edition obtained, biatch!

Although the spending spree was an overall success for the most part, it was a real bitch to get there and back. It was my first time by myself to Best Buy and I had no idea where I was going, lol. So my mom drew me a map and explained the directions carefully, but it’s a lot easier said than done, of course. I think I left at around 11:45 or so and didn’t get back until about 2.

The first mistake was made after I turned off of the major road that connects to our neighborhood. I was supposed to act like I was going to Six Flags, but I soon realized that I didn’t know whether or not I was supposed to turn off the road early or take it to the end. At first my gut instinct told me to keep going, but I remembered a sign to the road I was looking for back at the turn, so I turned around and took it. It wasn’t long before I realized that this wasn’t the way that I take to Six Flags, so I turned around again, only to find out when I got home that I could have gone either way. -_-

Mistake number 2 was made when turning off the road that the previous one had taken me to. I was supposed to make a left at the light, and then go to a stop sign and judge what to do there depending on where the Best Buy was situated. So I made the left, and right away I saw a stop sign and thought, “no, it can’t be this early”, and kept going, which I found to be a residential neighborhood of apartments. O_o So I went up some driveway and turned around, went back to the stop sign, and there was no Best Buy in sight. I looked at the directions again and found that there would be a traffic light before the stop sign, so I had been right the first time again, har har. Right after the point that I had turned around, I found the light, stop sign, and then the Best Buy. Fantastic...

Not wanting to spend anymore time driving, I quickly parked (even though it was a ways away from the close parking lot), and went inside. The place was literally jam-packed, and I even found this crazy kid who graduated last year, as insane as ever. It took me a while to find the movies and game, and I had to get help with finding all except Kill Bill. Life of Brian took especially long, and turned out to be on this cart piled with random DVDs. >.o I hope you’re happy, Shin!

When I was getting in my car to drive home, I took a different exit out of the parking lot than I had come in, and soon found myself driving on a completely different road, and in my confusion had a few cars honking as I was trying to figure out where I was going. I ended up pulling into this place to turn around, and drove out to the median strip, though I doubt you were allowed to, lol. Just then a car coming in the opposite direction comes to turn around as well, and my car was blocking his so he started honking. Impatient asshole. So I quickly get back to Best Buy and retrace my steps precisely, and by some miracle I made my way home without getting lost again.

So for those wondering what I got at Best Buy:

-Kill Bill Volume 1
-Monty Python and the Holy Grail Special Edition
-Monty Python and the Life of Brian
-Mario Power Tennis

Add that to the cool gifts I already had:

-Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
-Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
-Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
-Kill Bill Volume 2

..and I’d say that I had a pretty good Christmas, overall.

I took my chance to watch Holy Grail for the first time today, and I enjoyed it a lot. I loved how it didn’t take itself seriously at all, especially parts where they would get into a long and detailed explanation of something that had nothing to do with anything. I love shit like that. XD For example, one of the first scenes when the people at the castle got into a discussion about the cocoanuts.. that was hilarious. :p And you were right, Shin, it is insanely quotable.

“He must be a king.”
“How do you know?”
“He isn’t covered in shit.”

After that, I convinced my brother to watch Kill Bill Volume 2 with me, since he has never seen the second part. I think he liked it, overall, but he was grossed out by a lot of things, such as the bride being buried alive and the bit with Elle’s eye. I think I prefer it to the first volume, too, since they really got into the story line and it became much deeper. It’s kind of funny that I bought a bootleg copy of it while I was in New York for $5 and still haven’t watched it. XD

Let’s see.. what else? Well, as a follow-up to my post contemplating love, I just wanted to say that I’ve given it some thought, and I don’t think I want to bother with a relationship in high school. It’s doubtful that I’ll find a girl at this age who shares my views on mature relationships, and since I’ve always felt rather intimidated by older women and the fact that I have higher priorities on my mind, such as getting into college, I’ll just play it cool this year. It’s a lot easier on my stress, I’ll tell you that now. ^_^

Oh, and I’ll be at my beach house starting tomorrow, and probably won’t get back until some time on Thursday. I don’t think swimming is in the plans, lol, but we own a beach house and might as well not let it go to waste. :p Don’t miss me too much. XD

CHRISTMAS: The Day After :O!!!
Well, only 364 days until Christmas; better get ready! Something tells me that it’ll be here again before I know it, lol, though I’m quite content with everything that I have right now. Eh.. maybe not completely, lol.

Shin: I can’t believe it took me so long to notice the second update, lol.
Annie: It was more like.. shampoo, hair gel and.. some kind of fragrance (I’m assuming it’s for men, but still). They might have been telling me that I run out of the stuff too fast, if anything, because I take a shower nearly every day. XD
Azure: I updated late, yes.. but still no one has commented! >:O
Shy: Yeah, I think when it comes down to it, I liked the second better. I don’t need a box set, though, unless they’d give a MASSIVE amount of extras.
Arc: ‘Tis the season for getting socks, eh?
Japan: My brother got a puppies calendar. Same as last year. -.-
Karmi: And here I was thinking it was Christmas. :/

I’m not awake enough to provide a real update, but I’ll try my best to tell you guys about my day, none the less.

Like I said in my last post, we ended up unwrapping gifts at around 6-ish, though I woke up at around 4:45. If you think that’s bad, though, my brother had been awake over an hour earlier, even though he knows that my dad waits until at least 5 to.. *ahem* “sleep in”. He just sorted gifts as usual while he waited, and we all ended up kind of going in a circle opening gifts. Last year, I decided to be really modest and wait until everyone else had completely opened their presents before I started opening mine. This year, I prepared myself with paper and pencil, and it came in handy for writing down my gifts.

I played a little Metroid Prime 2 after that, while my brother went back to Counter Strike which he had been off for (shock!) probably a couple hours. He did take a few minutes to try Half Life 2, and it turns out that it works on our shitty computer. Go figure. After testing out the multiplayer Metroid a bit, I suddenly got really tired and took a nap on the couch until around 10. We were leaving to visit my grandparents at 11, so I had to go around and pack various video games and such in the car to keep us occupied.

Usually, everyone always comes over to our house to celebrate the holiday, having that weird large lunch/dinner meal and opening presents from each other and such. However, lately my grandmother has been feeling really weak, and it’s too much work for her to leave the house for anything but to go to the doctor. I really hate to see her like this, too.. she’s always been so lively, and her mind is still sharp and active as ever. She’s one of those really nice grandmothers who you can feel really comfortable around, and slips you money whenever you see her, lol. So anyway, we visited her and my grandfather at their house for Christmas “dinner”, and that was really nice. We were watching Lord of the Rings: Return of the King extended edition the entire time we were there and didn’t even finish it. >_o But what can you expect? It’s over four hours long!

It was around 5:30 or so that we got home, and I decided to go to the basement and play a little more Metroid Prime 2, which I played for about an hour and a half at the least and only made it to the third save point. I guess I’m not too surprised, though. lol I scan just about everything humanly possible, and in this game it’s mandatory for the story line and to actually continue with the game. It’s a lot easier, too, since things that you’ve scanned actually change completely to green so that it’s simple to spot. ^_^ I started a Twin Snakes file as well.. on Normal mode. I’ve gotten basically no where, but I’m slowly finding that it’s actually a pretty tough game. I mean.. I played through Metal Gear Solid 2 twice, myself, but that was years ago and on pretty easy difficulty, heh. Should be fun when I really get into it, though, and then I’ll play… Snake Eater! :D

Other than that, though, I’ve just been listening to Harry Potter book 1 on tape lately, lol. Ever since I found out that the new book is coming out in July, I’ve realized that I hardly remember anything from reading the books however long ago, and I’m too lazy to actually read them again, haha. Luckily, my family has all of the books on cassette tapes. XD Thank God for my illiterate brother. >:O

Tomorrow, I plan to go to Best Buy and pick out some gifts that I wanted but didn’t get for Christmas. I know how greedy that must sound, but I’ll be using some money that I got for the holiday, first of all, and I have plenty extra to spend on whatever anyway. My plan is to buy Mario Power Tennis, Red Faction, Kill Bill Volume 1, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Monty Python and the Life of Brian. And when they’re released, I want to get Harold and Kumar go to White Castle and the first DVD of Samurai Champloo that comes with a bandana.

So much freaking money, but I haven’t bought anything in ages and there’s so much good stuff out!

..hmmm, this seems like much more of an update than what I was planning.
