It's already been a month?
Summer really has been flying by, I guess. Not that I've been having a lot of fun; on the contrary: I'm working just about every week at this low-paying, hard labor job that I probably mentioned earlier. =_= Despite low-paying, however, I do work about 9 hours a day, so I end up making some money, but it all comes out of some really tough work. It doesn't help the fact that as time goes on, I get more annoyed with the people that I work with. *sigh*

This week should be fun, though. I only had to work today, since I'm going to the beach tommorrow and coming back Saturday. There, we'll be meeting up with some good friends of ours; this same friend who last year took me to those dance clubs in Ocean City. ;p I remember that one of the dance clubs had a row of computers, and that I kept checking news on theOtaku's newest feature, myOtaku, which means that we must be coming up on the one-year anniversuary! I wonder if Adam has anything planned.. :o

But before I get too caught up in what I'm going to do, I might as well share what I already did last weekend. I always try to use any chance that I get to hang out where I used to live, and this time I was lucky enough to hook up with my friend, Alex. We were originally trying to organize a meet at Six Flags, but his mom couldn't get him a ride, and the amusement park is at least a half hour away, between my house and his house, so it wouldn't be very practical if I picked him up. So I ended up just going to his house, and then hanging out at this really cool street mall downtown. The first thing that we did was catch The Bourne Supremecy at this brand new movie theater, and I must say.. I wasn't a big fan of the film. :/ I wasn't expecting much, for whatever reason; maybe I just didn't like the first one. After the movie, we went into the rest of the mall, ending up at the arcade, and low and behold.. DDR Extreme. :o Of course, being a Friday night, it was crowded as hell, and I finally got on after waiting about 20 minutes only to fail my first song on a 7-footer. ;_; I blame this on these three points:

1. I'm not used to the arcade version and pad.
2. The song was weird (it wasn't fast easy notes as much as strange ones).
3. A lot of people were watching. :o

I love to make excuses for sucking. :) Normally I can Ace a 7 foot song and pass an 8 foot, but as I found out from a guy that was AAing everything there, the timing is much different at home. In the arcade, you have to hit a perfect within a 1/10 second margin, and at home this number gives a lot better odds. This guy doesn't own the home version, however, so I hate to think how much he must have payed to get as far as he did. <.< According to him, he's been playing for three years. I wonder how good I will be 2 and a half years from now. :o

As soon as I failed the song, I knew I had to get the heck out of there, so I went to look for Alex in the food court where he said he'd be. Of course, as long as it took me to get on the machine, Alex had decided to come up to look for me, and by the time I figured my way downstairs and then back up, I would later find out that Alex had gone down again. >.< When we finally met up with each other, we went down to the food court to get something to eat. From what I can recall later, in the time that it took me to go to the bathroom and wash my hands, Alex had met up with a guy that he knew, and then the guy left leaving three of his friends who Alex had never met before, two of which were very attractive girls o.o So I got a pizza and a breadtsick and sat down at the table with Alex and these strangers to eat, lol. They seemed really nice, and as we were talking, Alex and I decided to see another movie before the night was up, assuming that we could get the tickets. So at around 8:45, we waved good-bye to the girls and guy, and went to get tickets for Harold and Kumar go to White Castle at 10:10. Me not being 17, Alex thankfully got away with buying two tickets, saying that one was for his girlfriend who was coming later. :o We didn't really have anything to do until the movie started, so we walked outside and ran into the people from earlier, though one of the girls had already left. The girl that remained was arguably the more attractive of the two, who introduced herself as Leia (she introduced herself earlier, but whatever, I'm telling the story). The guy was an Asain dude named Paul, who I got the vibe acted slightly too nice. <_> So we talked with them for a while until two other guys (whose nameds I never really caught) showed up, and we found some seats outside of a resturaunt called Potbelly. Imagine the site: five guys and one really hot girl sitting around a table and talking. :o Hey, I'd be a little suspicious. :p That was at about 9:10, and we talked for a good hour before our movie started. As we were going up the escalator in the movie theater, my friend turned to me and said, "Well, she was nice." I replied, "Well, she was hot." He had been thinking the same thing, of course, and I tried to assure him that although she was really hot, the girl from my school that I had told him about before was even hotter, but he didn't believe me.

So we watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, and oh my God.. that was suck a fucking halarious movie. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard during a film, so if you get a chance, SEE THIS MOVIE. All we could say for the rest of the night was, "damn, that was an awesome movie."

The movie had let out kind of late, and as I was driving home I realized that it was past 12, a time that I was restircted to due to my provisional license. So Alex and I thought, why stop there? ;p We then went down to this handicaped school by my old house and used the interesting architecture of the building to climb up it and walk around. It was all going fine until my friend decided to walk across this one room that didn't really seem attached to the school. Before I know it, one of Alex's feet had fallen through the roof, and the material was dangerously close to calling completely under his weight. Slowly, he moved his way off the roof of what we now know was a green house, and onto a more solid roof. Getting down was another tricky business, but we found a way down eventually. :o

Next on our night of adventures, we visited my old backyard where we jumped around on this big rock as if it were 10 years ago, lol. That got kind of boring after a while, and we headed over to our old elementary school, where we climbed that roof and walked around a bit, lol. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any balls that kids had accidentily thrown or kicked up. >_< Keep in mind that there weren't any ladders to climb these buildings; we had to act like monkeys and use the surroundings to our advantage. ;)

Our last stop was our friend, Wesley's, house. He had a couple of people over there already just chilling, and we talked for a good hour and a half or so.In that time, Wes had pretty much gone through a pack of cigarettes, and we finally figured that it was time to get to Alex's house and go to bed.

All-in-all, I had an awesome weekend, which can only be topped by coming week. Not only am I going to be spending some time with the craziest guy I know, but Sunday marks the day that I'm going to Otakon, a local anime convention. ^_^
