Remembering the holidays (part 3): New Years
When comparing New Years Eve with previous years, I can honestly say...this years sucked. O_o Every other time, at the very least, we'd go to someone's house to participate in the countdown, and in my old neighborhood there would be a party with a combination of video games, fooseball, and food. This year? I came out of my room and watched over the cat walk the final countdown. o_o No one was there except my mom, dad, and brother. lol

On New Years Eve, we went over to my grandparent's house to have dinner and sit around, and got back around 7:30, so that can't be counted as a whole night. I'm actually surprised that my family stayed up until midnight, since they always go to bed no later than 9:30. It was easy for me, and they ended up making it too, heh.

The next day I sept in until around 1 oclock, and then we went to this New Years party at some family friends of ours. Every year there is always tons of people and my brother and I get shoved into the shadows, so we really didn't bring anything gaming-wise. When we got there, though, it was just us and lots of little kids, in the way of younger people. O.o I find that I can really just relax and let down my hair when I'm over there, since the kids (two boys, a year younger than my brother and a year older than myself) are nice, but they cuss all the time and their house is sort of a mess. So I don't have to pretend to be nice around them, lol, and they are the best movie critics. They've introduced me to 3 of my favorite movies: Snatch, Fight Club, and The Boondock Saints, and they are currently recommending more, heh. The disturbing part is that these guys still have fun playing hide and go seek, and playing with toy guns and stuff; they've been like that their whole lives, lol. The older brother actually introduced me to dance clubs in Ocean City, and for that, he has my respect.

They had some pretty good food at the party. I covered my plate with tiny peices of fried chicken, hot wings, and rolls with ham, then played Vice City for practically the whole time. I swear to God, they will never, ever, ever tire of that game. O_o
