16 years and counting
I don't know how to say this without it sounding kinda corny, but uhh...it's my birthday today...yeah. o.o' I was able to open that anime I've been telling you all about (Berserk, Hellsing, and the Kenshin OVAs) and they've been pretty good so far, and I got Soul Calibur 2, the movie Snatch, the 3rd season of Family Guy, and about $100 dollars from my grandparents. O_O; Yes, I still get lots of presents, but who am I to complain?
As many of you should know, hurricane Isabel has been ripping up the east coast, and my area got hit with some tough winds and rain. They cancelled school Thursday and Friday (no school on my birthday! Zing!) and it was pretty rough, though luckily my house didn't get hit that hard. When we woke up, we just had a cut in our screen on the gazebo, and a branch had fallen in our front yard, but that's about it. Other parts got hit really hard in our county, and that was mostly what the news was reporting of course, so don't be completely alarmed. Here they were telling us to write our names on our arms so that our bodies could be identified. O_o
A few things about my new anime. First of all, the first of two disks in my Kenshin OVAs does not play on my computer, and from what I can tell so far, it takes place after the series and simply have a few episodes. With some luck, they'll have included the movie of when Kenshin gets his scars, I hope, since this is the Ultimate OVA collection, and it says it includes Movie, Trust, Betrayal, Trust and Betrayal Director's cut, and Seisou Hen. When I finally saw it, I found an erie discovery: all of the English voice actors...are DIFFERENT! *scream* So I've been having to watch it in Japanese. *mutters to self* Berserk is an awsome series so far, and I'm really enjoying it with its action and how it's fairly easy to understand. Hellsing, however, while they went all out on this DVD with so many special features and everything, the series hasn't really delivered yet. It's confusing as heck, and some things I don't even like, but I'm sure it'll get better after the first 5 episodes I've seen so far.
