   hahahaha!.....gulp?
well, this is it, my last day as a teenager. that's right, tomorrow's my birthday-the big 2-0. and i'm kinda scared, lol. this is one of my 'i don't wanna grow up' moments in case you were confused. but, nothing's really gonna change, right? i can still be a fun lovin, bright eyed, manga/anime lovin 20 yr old, right? right???! *sigh* well, anyway, birthday wishes are welcome-they just might get me through the day, lol!

   I can't believe it!
Today is a momentous one indeed for me--for it was the first day ever that one of my pieces of artwork was selected for the 'today's featured art' section on the main fanart page! *sniff* i'm so happy! lol. i'm so used to seeing my pieces just in the 'recently submitted' section, but today, all that has changed! (i know i'm being a goober, but i don't care, lol) this feeling is gonna become a bad habit tho. o well--if you haven't seen it already, its titled "Wowie's Sakura Lineart Contest" in the Cardcaptor Sakura section and its in my portfolio too of course!

   work
well, i'm at work right now, while i'm writing this, and i couldn't be sleepier. i know i haven't updated my portfolio in a while, but believe me, i DO have a lot of Tokyo Mew Mew, Fruits Basket, Cardcaptors, Chobits, Pokemon and Sailor Moon art, i just don't have access to a digital camera or scanner right now. woe is me--so i guess you're just gonna have to wait till the middle of october (i'm coming home from college that week for my birthday) for any updates-dispair not dear friends, i shall continue to grace the many many pages of otaku with my art. lol.
on another note, i just finished the Fruits Basket anime (i still haven't finished the manga yet tho) and am currently starting Inuyasha, tho, i can't say that it's hooked me yet. i'm also on the third season of Sailor moon (i never got past the second season when i watched it on tv) and i am heartbroken to hear that the movie stored near me will not be stocking sailor moon anytime soon because its going out of circulation. sad sad sad.
anywho, i would love to hear some recommendations for anime, if anyone has some. so far i've watched:
sailor moon seasons 1 & 2
full moon wo sagashite
chobits
fruits basket
princess princess
cardcaptors (up to episode 14 or so)
and some of Magical Mermaid Picchi picchi pitch

note: i don't really mind if there are subtitles, but i do prefer english dubs ;P

   you know what i just noticed today?
that it says 'otaku legend' under my user name when i sign comments and stuff! i'm so happy! i've never been a legend before, lol. i do hope that's a good thing! i know there are a lot of legends on this site, so what i guess i'm trying to say is, i'm really happy to be among them!

   YAY!!
i just found out i won second place in Sailor Usagi Chan's drawing contest! woot and double woot! i have never really won anything like this before, so as you can tell, i am wicked excited! i will be posting my award winning second place drawing soon. i just wanna thank sailor usagi chan for allowing me to enter her contest and draw her cute as a button Mew Pu-tao (which is chinese for grape-which is pretty cool i think)and Persi together! wow--i'm still in shock. thank you thank you thank you thank you! and may you all have a fabulous day!
