   REALLY Cold
Well, it's my brother's birthday. He's twelve, but I still can't tell.

So we had rain over past the two days and finally some cold weather. Mom, at one point earlier today, pointed outside at the tree branches and commented on how the ice sickles seemed to hang off them.

Bored, yet inspired, I grabbed the camera from the living room, put on my jacket and shoes, and ran outside to take some pictures. (or the entire roll of film)

Mom thinks I should take a photographing class when I get older 'cause she likes the pictures I take. I'm figuring of taking her advice since I do like to take up the camera and take pictures. I just need to get something better than Kodak disposable camera. (especially since the pictures from the AFO convention looked really bad, even with the flash)

School's has given me a busy schedule this semester and that not only makes me sad, but tired.

   Makes Meh Happy
Just when I thought I had extended my deadline for nothing on my little shrine/website, two people told me that they were participating in the contests.

One for fanfiction and one for fanart.

I haven't gotten any other word on the person that said she would write. Hopefully I'll hear from her again before Jan. 15 and, if that doesn't happen, then maybe she didn't do it or I'll just let her turn it in since she was the first to attempt to submit something in a long time.

The one drawing though.... perhaps that person will send the image link from a place I can actually view the fan art without having to register for an account. If not, then I'll just e-mail them again with the same explanation that I couldn't view their art and would appreciate a better way to see it.

We'll see though.

FFXII + PMK
Been playing Final Fantasy XII since I've been up..... and I'm either gonna continue my current hunt or just call it a day and head up to what's-his-face-that-called-Basch-dead.

Didn't think I would like Balthier but I do. He's an awesome sky pirate guy. Vaan's pretty cool too.... in his own loudmouthed way....

Luck has been with me for a couple of days as well. Bought two more Peacemaker Kurogane dvds (volume one and three).

   Holy Sniz on a Cardboard Stick!
It's not everyday you're sitting in your history class, waiting for the bell to ring, and two girls run in and excitedly announce: "Rachael Ray called me to come on her show!"

Stop.

Rewind.

Play.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing when they said that (and neither could everybody else). But one of the girls showed us the telephone number and we were pretty much convinced after she told us the story of when Rachael Ray called.

The teacher squealed. She's pretty young, I know, but it is downright awesome to hear a teacher 'squee' in front of the class.

So we don't know when they're leaving, but we are all gonna be pretty sure to tape the episode they appear on.

   Anime and Salesmen
It would figure that at the end of my free week that I would finally look for new anime.

One that had caught my eye and another title that I've been thinking of reading for a while.

Black Cat
I started by reading the first two volumes of the manga and, greatly interested, saw the first four episodes. The anime's good but I greatly prefer the manga.... but, then again, I haven't seen what happens after Train quits Chronos so... (Train's so awesome!)

Death Note
A long, long time ago, I remember reading the promo chapter of it in a Shonen Jump maganzine. I never pursured any further out of fear of my mother finding out about what the series was. Luckily, that curiousity returned and I managed to download the first episode.
OMFG, I am hooked. It's been a while since a thrill had been felt watching one episode.

_New_Subject_Material_

We went to the Tyler Mall today. When we were about to leave, this one gentlemen (while speaking in broken English so I imagine he's an immigrant from Mexico) practically dragged my brother and me over to his stand and tried desperately to sell us instant snow.

I managed to get away by faking that I was interested in the calenders near by (I will never be able to thank that booth enough). Mom and my brother soon followed. She told me that the man noticed a couple coming and went to talk to them and, while he was distracted, they made a run for it.

As Mom said: "That's when you take out your cell phone and pretend to call someone."

   A Week Off
Got a week off from school. *yay-ness*

My brother amazes me in good and bad ways sometimes. We managed to rent the last copy of Dirge of Cerberus from Blockbuster yesterday and he defeated the game just last night. Granted, it was on easy mode when the game recommended him for hard but we were still shocked that he finished it already.

I told him afterwards to start a new game with a harder mode. He did and told me that he died in the first few minutes, too.
