myOtaku.com: Takoyaki Power

Since I've been so distant lately, i thought it would be appropreate to return. I've been such a neglectful otaku lately. But I've just been so busy. It's only by fluke that I made it to the computer today! I messed up the time I was supposted to work (5 NOT 3), so I retain some freedome^^

As for this layout, I credit it souly to the powers of my brillant Maester, Vicky-dono. Isn't she the greatest?

I went to see the Eragon movie w. my Fantasy Lit class yesterday (Shippou123's in this class as well). Here lies my review:

Once upon a time, there was a brillant linguest and author by the name of Tolkien. Since his sucess of novels (and Peter Jackson's later sucess with his film adaptation) there have been countless rip-off's, play-off's and thieveries.

This movie is far from the exception. In fact, it is one of the absolute worst version of Tolkienised fantasy I've ever seen. A cross between LOTR, Star Wars, Dragonriders of Pern and Wizards of Earthsea, I was appalled first that this book made it to the top of the bestseller's list for so long, but furthermore, that some moron would take it upon himself to ruin their career by creating such an abomination to the world of fantasy-fiction.

Going to the film, I had very low expectations for it's sucess much less it's ability to keep my attention for its lengthy 104 minutes. It did though.

I laughed more at this film, than Snakes on a Plane.

From beginning to end, this film somehow managed to retain an abasolute archtype fantasy film, worthy to quickly be placed in the bargin-bin at your local grocery. I have to say, at 1 1/2 stars, I believe the professional critics were really very leniant. (bad acting, bad screenplay, bad plot, bad storyline)

Questions:

[1]. What are your religious views? Are they set in stone by a doctrine, or is it more of a personal philosophy?

[2]. What type of novel would your life write as? What Genre? Would it have a happy ending?
