If You Don't Like Roller-Coasters, Don't Read This Post
Rundown of my day:
We had a surprise party for Mrs. Respect(this is what I had said June BUG and Polka Dot would've wrung my neck over if I had only written it in here)! I told them we should have it during silent reading because we might need to go to computer lab, but because they were in don't listen to TALN and if by accident you do, shoot down her every idea mode, they said that we could miss one time(even though we have to finish our powerpoints and present them on Wednesday). So, we gave her the gift we bought her in her music-filled room after we had presented her with the banner everyone had signed. It was just a very sweet time, partially because she was thanking us and saying that no class had ever done this for her before, and partially because The Fox and The Pope-Tripper kept on insisting that we needed to have a group hug.
Social studies and math went by normally(boring as usual), but PE was absolutely horrible.Yes, I'm not going to tell any readers why.
Anyway, I was just working on the only book report keeping me from the Reader's Circle Award during silent reading when Mrs. Sailor, our anger-challenged art teacher, walks in holding a certificate in her hand. I cannot remember exactly what happened after that. First I was writing, then I was walking up to her, trying to fight down tears. I took my picture with Mrs. Sailor while holding that certificate, MY certificate. The main point of her visit got through to me.
I PLACED SECOND IN A NATIONAL ART FAIR!!!!!!!
It was an acrylic painting of the main four characters in my story, Missing in Venice,
that Mrs. Sailor said was SO good she was going to send it to a national art fair of which now I can't remember the name. Really all I was thinking about at the time we sent it in is that I would never get it back, I never dreamed of placing! Mrs. Sailor is going to give the award to me in front of our whole grade and various parents. SO surreal...
We finished Mrs. Respect's party during lunch, and during the party I was editing JB's writing progect that he was too stuipid to get editid before he wrote his final copy. So, after I made the final marks on his paper, he decided to erase it all! SOOO ANGRY!!!
We watched a slide show of pictures from the dance in writer's workshop. There were few of me(gladness!), and many hilarious comments were shared.
Science was fairly boring, but all people came to life when time for band; though for some reason while I was putting my clarinet together Mrs. Respect was talking to Mr. Bandman. As I sat down she said it was something about me, but because of my hearing problems, I wasn't exactly sure what I had done. It was pretty normal afterward, until my brain finally put it all together.
Oh, NO!
Flute had made me really mad at him during band on Friday because he said that Demented Squirrel was going to get the solo to my face. I dunno why this hurt me so bad, but when Mrs. Respect asked me what was wrong, I started to cry.
If Mrs. Respect had told him that...
I tried to go on with band unfazed, but it still stuck in the back of my mind the whole time. I managed to do perfect on both the spoken and played portions of the solo. The clarinets are the only undecided group, it's between me, Demented Squirrel, and my other friend, Tori.
I asked Mrs. Respect if what I suspected was true, and she confirmed the fact that I was humiliated. Crapapollooza.
Anyway, if you have kept up to this point, you are honestly a genious, for I have done nothing but write/babble for the last thirty-five minutes.
