THERE IS ANOTHER CHAPTER BELOW THIS ONE. READ IT FIRST.
My Posts Chapter Eight- The Second Coming of the Spark Tiger

The door shattered into a million pieces and the first thing we saw was Hidoi leaning in and kissing Shinjite.

She was revolted, and lurched back quickly.

My eyes flickered yellow as quickly as a strobe light and I roared.

Sekai looked over at me in shock.

Shinjite looked as if she was in great pain, and she was.

I transformed completely and pounced onto Hidoi, ripping off both of his arms within a minute.

I growled and continued to scratch him up.

He was screaming in pain, as was Shinjite.

“S-sekai,” Shinjite muttered.

He looked down at her in his arms.

“Pull the… stone… The stone out of my heart… It’s the only thing that will make her able to kill Hidoi.”

He nodded and her when her chest began to glow, he reached in and pulled out a red stone. She went limp and was breathing faintly.

“Here, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty!” he called, holding out the stone like a treat.

My ears perked and I turned around, walking towards him, tail flicking with curiosity.

“Here kitty, treat!”

I licked it out of his hand and immediately jumped on Hidoi, ripping him to shreds.

That was it. Hidoi was dead.

She woke up, extremely weak.

She wasn’t very strong at the moment, but she was alive.

“I… I don’t think this is over yet…” she whispered.

“I know, sister, I know…”

Sekai picked her up and we went home.

The peace-time was back, and everyone was glad.

But what will happen to the Pantheon now?

Who will be the head god? Who will replace those who have already been kicked out?

We can only wait and see…

My Posts Chapter Seven- Saving Shinjite

We left for the house, being ever so cautious all the way.

We made it home, much to our surprise. We’d expected Hidoi to show up and take her. But he didn’t. And we were lucky.

Life was back to normal, with a little paranoia thrown in.

Shinjite was training Shinri by the lake; Sekai was waiting for me to finish cooking lunch.

“Shinri,” I called out the window with a huge smile. “Come get some lemmy-aide!” That’s lemon-aide for those who aren’t familiar with my ways of speaking.

They paused in their fighting and Shinri raced up to the house, where I was standing, wearing my favorite blue sundress covered partially by my “Don’t make me poison your food” apron. I held a large tray with a few glasses and a pitcher of “lemmy-aide.” He quickly downed two glasses; I handed the tray to him and told him to take some to sister. We beamed at each other.

It was a happy life.

But. Oh, yes. The infamous but appears once again. But while we were gone, a certain someone peeked out of the forest. His name is Raiko, and he’s half inverse, half water, and Shinjite’s love. I’d tell you more about him, but that’s her job, really.

She ran out to hug him, and expressed her love and asked him a million questions.

And from his lips, he uttered words in a voice which was not his own.

“You’re mine,” Hidoi’s voice laughed.

Sekai raced out. “Where’s Shinji?!”

“Out with… Shinri?”

We both looked out to see, not Shinri and Shinji training or enjoying lemmy-aide, but Raiko disappearing with a screaming Shinjite.

“Grab your axes, Taren! It’s time to put all that guardianship training to good use.”

I scampered into the house, running right to the place where my axes always were. They were gone, and in their place, a note rested patiently.

Sekai ran in. “What’s taking so long?!”

I handed him the note. It read: I have taken your axes, meet me at Central Grounds Temple at midnight tonight to get them back.

“Hidoi,” Sekai growled. He then formed two axes from metal and grabbed my arm. “Let’s go.”

We disappeared, following Shinji’s power signal.

Leading us right to Hidoi’s castle in Central.

We busted through the door, and raced through the castle.

We heard Shinjite’s voice screaming behind a pair of huge doors, and began to beat the doors down.

“Why do you hate my people so much?”

“All of your people need to suffer. Thankfully, there are only three left.”

“Please, just torture me. You can do anything you wish, just don’t harm them!”

“Or… Is there another?”

“No!”

“There is, isn’t there?

A slapping sound.

“No!!”

Shinjite whimpers. “…Yes.”

“Who is it?”

“If I tell… promise not to hurt them.”

“It’s not Sekai. Nor Kaji Da or Jinku… Is it that hybrid girl?”

She gasped. “Promise not to hurt them!”

“It is!”

“Promise!”

“She would make a rather fun toy, though…”

“No!”

The door finally began to crack…

   Chapter Six
My Posts Chapter Six- Godly Problems and a Fourth Atlantien

A few weeks after we’d escaped from Exile…

I sat and poked at my stomach as I helped Shinjite prepare lunch.

Sekai rushed in, saw the two of us, and looked relieved.

“Hn?” Shinji and I said at the same time. “What’s wrong, Sekai-sama?”

He grabbed both of us by the arm and pulled us carefully to the door. “We have to get to a safe place. NOW.”
We followed, confused. He teleported, and we landed in front of a huge beautiful building. We ran up the steps leading to the Central Grounds Temple. Something was very, very wrong.

Sekai led us into the nearest room with a lock on it.

We were still confused.

“This is Central Grounds Temple. Hidoi cannot magically harm us here. The lock is for in case he tries to physically harm us.”

Shinji looked to me, afraid. “Hidoi is after me?”

Sekai nodded. “Now try to stay quiet.”

The three of us looked around and saw Shinri waiting in the room, asleep in the corner. We were in the Central Documents Room, where all original documents from every area are held.

Then we started exploring.

We found records on Sekai and Shinri, and everyone else we know. And then I pulled out mine.

I opened the scroll that held my life’s tale and all of the tales about it from prophets.

I scanned my family tree.

My mother’s side. Wait. She wasn’t a fullblood. She was half lightning, half wind. Like… Me?

My father’s side… Water?! But wait. He’s… An Atlantien?!

A picture of my father was placed beside his name.

“Sh-shinjite? What does your father look like?”

“Why, Taren?”

“I just need to know.”

She described him.

I dropped my scroll and promptly fainted.

Sekai caught me quickly, and Shinjite picked up my scroll.

“She… she really is my sister,” Shinjite said in shock. “They lived in Atlantis. Her mother had an affair with my father… They… had planned for her mother to run away from her father and they would come to live with us. Then her mother got pregnant. He kept promising and promising. The day before she died, he sent her a letter saying that he couldn’t legally marry her. Then Taren’s older sister… killed our father.”

I had woken up and was clinging to Shinjite for dear life. I was shocked.

And all this time, Shinri had found a scroll, and was punching out sections of wall to reveal all new magical weapons for the four of us. Sekai had a new sword. Shinri had a pair of daggers. Shinjite had a huge broadsword, bigger than her. But I had a three-piece sword. My sword had three pieces that locked together, and each had markings. The left, yellow. The right, dark blue. The middle, light blue. I had a sword for each hand, and one that could be controlled using my three elements.

But wait. Why could I not harness my water?

Shinjite said a prayer a few minutes later, and I squirted Shinri in the face with a blast from my hand. I began to giggle. “I suppose this will take more training, then, huh guys?”

We felt safe, but Hidoi was still lurking…

Chapter Five
My Posts Chapter Five- Two New Goddesses and… a Baby?!

I walked down calmly to the dinner table; Shinjite and Sekitan were waiting for me. Shinjite was wearing odd garb I’d never seen before.

“Hey, Shinj, what’s with the new clothes?”

She looked up at me with wise, loving eyes. “I have become what I hate.”

I didn’t get it.

“I’m a goddess, and it’s all Kazi’s fault.” She picked up the beautiful necklace that hung around her neck. “This is the former goddess’ necklace.”

I glanced at Sekitan, and my heart twinged with that crush again. A light blush came across my face as our eyes met. I quickly looked away. I can’t love Sekitan. I won’t.

Suddenly, before Shinjite could say another word, she disappeared.

“Quickly,” Sekitan said, “to the chapel. Kazi and Koru have been fighting all day over who shall marry her.”

We took off unanimously and reached the chapel after only a moment.

There, I saw Koru standing at the chapel next to Shinjite, looking at her with loving eyes.

I was enraged. How DARE that SCUM try to marry my SISTER?!

“I do,” Koru said proudly.

“Well I don’t!” Shinjite roared.

I growled, then stopped; surprised that such a noise had come from my chest. I roared loudly, and everything in the chapel stopped. Everyone turned to see the first transformation of the hybrid.

A moment later, Shinjite, screaming, was being carried out of the room by Sekitan. He had to get her away from this. I had become the beast for the first time in my life. I had become the Spark Tiger.

“It hurts, Sekitan! It hurts so much…” Shinjite sobbed.

It only took the beast about two minutes to kill Koru. Then, I transformed back to my normal self, panting and exhausted.
I sat up, confused, and saw huge slashes running across Koru’s torso. The Tiger had ripped him to shreds. His purple blood pooled around him. I stood and looked around for Shinjite. I realized that she hadn’t remained there, and ran out of the chapel, tired, confused, and ashamed.

I found the two a few minutes later. Shinjite was asleep in her room, Sekitan holding her in his lap protectively. He looked up at me with knowing eyes.

“It hurts her,” he muttered. “Whenever you will transform from now on, it will pain her since she is the closest female beast spirit around. The Tiger draws energy from other beasts. You’ve totally drained her of most of her energy. “

I merely stood there, shocked.

“Go to your room. You both need rest.”

I nodded and headed out of the room, still in total shock.

A moment later, I collapsed on my bed and immediately blacked out. When I awoke, I realized I wasn’t in my room. I blinked and tried to move, then realized that someone was holding onto me tightly. I began to panic.

And then I was knocked out.

I don’t remember the events of that evening, but it was one of the most chaotic days of my life.

I awoke again a few hours later in my own bed, alone and confused. I got up and slid on my red and black tank top dress with the two corsets and the poofy bottom, and then meandered out of my bedroom, searching for Shinjite.

Instead of finding her, I ran into Sekai. The moment he saw me, his eyes went wide.

“Hn? What’s wrong, Sekai?” I questioned.

“Er, uhm. Well, nothing, really, just… uhm, surprised to see you?” He stuttered.

Something was amiss.

“Whatever,” I said with a roll of my eyes. “Where’s Shinji?”

He led me right to her. I tackled her and we both broke out into a fit of giggles.

In a few moments, I declared that I was going to go fix lunch, and took orders.

Sekai said, “Did you notice her energy change?”

“What energy change?”

“Never mind, then… I’ll be right back…” Sekai said and raced after me.

He whispered something into my ear.

Then a loud “WHAT?!” rang out that could be heard all over Exile.

I ran into the nearest room and cried until I felt I was going to dry up.

And there was Sekitan to comfort me.
I couldn’t believe what was happening. I disappeared to Shinjite’s room and broke the news to her.

“Shinjite…”

“Yes, Taren-chan?”

“I… Sekai told me…”

“You can tell me anything, you know that.”

“I’m…” I sobbed and my hand wandered over my stomach.

“You’re…?!”

I nodded, and she ran over to hug me. I cried in my sister’s arms for what must’ve been an hour.

“Who’s the…” she asked quietly.

“Well…” I sniffled. “Sekai said… That it’s… Sekitan.”

She stood, shocked and amazed. “You didn’t… You know… Did you?”

I shook my head quickly. “But last night… Something knocked me out…”

Then it all clicked. It was another case of Koru in the trees. And this will be another Kigara.

No. I won’t let her turn out like Kigara. Kazi will never lay eyes on this one.

Something else had felt different that morning.

Later, we were approached by a very, very old woman. She introduced herself as the former Storm Goddess.

Then explained my fate.

I had become the new Storm Goddess overnight by Kazi’s will. He had kicked the woman out of the Pantheon, then placed me in her spot. Word has it, the whole Pantheon will be done like this. I just hope that my new status won’t pose any new problems… And with my life, yeah right.

   Chapter Four
My Posts Chapter Four- Murders in the Castle

He stroked her cheek gently with his finger as she woke. She screamed and tried to lash out, but was still bound in the cursed ropes.

“Princess, calm down,” he cooed in his smooth, soothing voice. “I won’t hurt you.”

“Let me go!” Shinji roared.

“Not until I get to talk to you for a while, my sweet Princess.”

“Stop calling me that!”

“But why deny your title? You should flaunt it. Use your power… You could have so much more…”

“But it’ll always just be things, just material things. I don’t need stuff. I need my family,” she stated angrily.

“Oh, you’ll get over them quickly once you’re my bride, Princess.”

“I will NEVER marry you!”

He smiled. “I beg to differ, Princess. No one refuses Koru Lazuko, King of Exile.”

She gasped. “B-but what about Taren?”

“Ah, so you’ve read the papers. Obviously not the later ones. She’s dead, Shinjite. She died 13 years ago in that mysterious fire at her house. They found her remains safe in her mother’s arms,” he said with a smirk.

“But she… I… No, she’s alive! She lives with me!”

He blinked. ‘The gas can’t still be affecting her brain…’ he thought. ‘Is she telling the truth? But… She can’t be… Mother told me that she died…’

“Did you not hear me, you dope?! She’s NOT dead! I don’t care what your stupid mother said. She’s ALIVE!” Shinji yelled at him, pretty annoyed by then.

He gave her a strange look. “Alright, if she’s alive, where is she?”

“She is, and I don’t know! Last time I saw her was before that stupid sleeping gas overcame the three of us,” she said with a death glare.

His eyes widened slightly. “What color is her hair?”

“Black with one red streak, why?”

“Oh, no reason,” he said as he started out of the room.

Right as the door closed, her ropes fell off. She was immediately at the door, beating on it.

Just before he closed the door, she’d heard him think, ‘Now I must take care of that little hybrid pest. Another effortless task.’ And the glint of his dagger being drawn shot under the door.

She was crying and beating on the door. “Taren! Taren, no! Be careful! Don’t let him…”

She slid down the wall and cried, knowing that soon, her kid sister would be murdered.

I was sitting in a corner, having just woken up. I was staring at the beautiful room around me, everything in perfect shades of green.

A knock on my door. I blinked. “Uh… Y-yes?”

The door swung open, revealing an older form of the boy I’d met nearly six years ago.

“H… Hi, Koru.” I bowed my head slightly.

“Taren?”

“Y-yes?”

“I’m so sorry… Everyone told me that… That you’d died…” he said, and moved towards me with open arms.

I ran into his arms, hugging him tight. “Koru…” I whispered.

He wrapped his arms around me in one last embrace. His mouth neared my ear, and I was expecting sweet words of love and apology, but instead I heard this: Now die, scum.

He had pulled the hidden dagger out of his sleeve and buried it deep in my side. I fell over, but pulled it out quickly and stood, healing my wound quickly. When he realized that his attempt had failed, he drew his sword and ran it right through my chest, directly under the collarbone.

Back in Shinji’s room, it was quiet… She was sitting in the same place she had sunk to the floor earlier, wishing for some company.

“I guess nothing happened after all… I would’ve heard something by-”

She stopped mid-sentence as a blood-curdling scream, full of hurt, betrayal, and pain rang through the castle.

“Taren!” she screamed as she began to beat on the door again, until she broke down crying.

Her door slid smoothly open and in walked a familiar dark boy. She stood in one fluid motion. “Sekitan! You have to help Taren! Sh-she’s with Koru a-and h-he’s-“

Sekitan nodded and crouched beside her, hugging her quickly, then disappeared.

She sat, blinking, and thought about how similar Cole and Sekitan are, no matter their differences.

Sekitan appeared in my room behind his brother.

Koru was standing above me, laughing, watching my blood pool around me. Watching me choke and cough up my emerald blood. Watching me die.

“Koru! What in the hell do you think you’re doing?! Move aside.”

Koru’s sweet and comforting, yet frighteningly evil laugh rang in my room. “She was an intruder in my castle.”

“You brought her here!”

“That’s no matter.”

“You killed your betrothed!”

“She was my betrothed? Oh, woe is me, for my love is dead, and I am her murderer,” he said sarcastically, then laughed.

My eyes had glazed over. I was still conscious, although I wished I wasn’t. The pain was the worst I’ve ever felt in my life, and it had only been worsened by betrayal.

“Koru, move aside.”

“And what makes you think that you can tell me what to do in my own realm, dear brother?”

Sekitan’s hands glowed black. “Because you won’t have a realm if you don’t. You seem to have forgotten the close relationship between Princess Shinjite and Taren, and that the Leviathan is still being kept inside Shinjite. She’ll rip this entire place to shreds.”

Everything suddenly went black as I saw Koru moving away, making sure to step on my head (fracturing my skull in the process) on the way.

Sekitan quickly but carefully picked me up, and then disappeared to Shinji’s room.

“Princess… I have her.”

When she looked over, she saw Sekitan’s arms covered in my green blood, along with most of my body. I’d been lying on my side, so the sword was sticking out of both sides of my torso, along with a (nearly black) green spot on my side where the dagger wound’s blood had dried.

She gasped and tears came to her eyes. “P-put her down. Quickly.”

He set me down and she swiftly pulled the sword out, green blood instantly pouring from my open wound. I was ghostly pale, and Shinji began to heal me.

A few minutes later, all my wounds were healed, but I still had two scars from the sword, and a swollen purple gash from the dagger.

I gazed over at the dark boy who’d saved me. “Thank you, Sekitan…” I said, still slightly in awe, first from betrayal, then from seeing how the evil, cold, heartless dark could be sweet, nice, and kind…

He nodded his head slightly, not even glancing over. “Don’t mention it…”

Shinjite was sleeping in her ocean-colored bed, every so often turning, tossing, or mumbling something to herself. I smiled and thought, ‘She looks so peaceful… Yet so… So troubled…’

I looked over at Sekitan again with wide, curious green eyes and I felt the twinge of a schoolgirl’s crush take over my heart. ‘No,’ I thought. ‘This is SO not happening… Not Sekitan! He’s just so… evil!”

He looked over, and I quickly turned my head. He rolled his dark eyes at my immaturity and went back to whatever he was doing and the most awkward silence rolled over the room.

Suddenly, breaking the silence, Shinji sat straight up, waking immediately from her sleep. “They’re coming…” she said, looking to me with horrified eyes.

“They…?” I asked, confused.

“Your… Your parents…” she said, staring at the door.

I grabbed my two axes which were floating in the corner and growled at Kiza. Before Shinjite could even say anything, I was running out the door, searching for my parents whom had been brought to life by Inverse magic. I had to get to them before they got to her.

I wasn’t sure what they’d be like… I had my suspicions, of course. I’d always remembered them as the happy couple and us the perfect family… When they were alive, that is. Looking back at the picture I have at them, they seem like the perfect, average couple… What I didn’t realize then was that they were Kazi’s lackeys, they despised the girl who would one day become my sister (and try to make me hate and kill her!), and they’d bound my soul with my evil lightning ancestor, Kiza.

The more I thought, the more angry I got at them. The more I got angry, the better my fighting skills. I was prepared to fight my parents to the death. What good had they ever done for anyone? They hadn’t. They were the bad guys now and I had to protect my REAL family.

The sparks started flying off of my body as my anger grew to an almost uncontrollable level. They were growing near… And I could feel it.

I saw a tall, muscular man wandering down the hallway. His hair was cut short and spiked. I could tell that he was my father, a wind, because his hair stuck up in the same nature as Shinjite’s. He’d received a shock that his body would never let him live down. He wore loose, non-restrictive sky blue clothes, perfect for fighting in, and they matched his hair perfectly. His hair was a beautiful sky blue that shimmered shades of dark blues and light purples in the light.

My mother was walking beside him, her long, flowing hair more crimson than the blood of a human. Her kimono was patterned like a thunderhead, dark and ominous. She looked me over with her electric yellow eyes, and I could see the wonder and confusion as she tried to comprehend why her daughter would stand before her, ready for battle.

I remembered that they’d replaced those absent years with false memories, and they still thought I was their perfect little daughter. Nothing was wrong, come here and give mommy a hug. She’ll make it all better.

“Hello, Taren. Isn’t it time for your daily training? Why are you not with your sensei?” my father asked innocently.

“You’ve been lied to,” I said coldly, still walking towards them. “I’m not your perfect little girl anymore.”

“What are you talking about, dear?” questioned my mother as she blinked in shock.

“You’re with Kazi, and I know it. Kazi is my sworn enemy, no matter the close relationship we had in my early teens. He is set on either killing or marrying Princess Shinjite.”

My father blinked. “But you’ve already sworn to kill her.”

“I’ve done no such thing! She is my SISTER, and I am training with Sekai and Kaji Da to protect her from evil such as you!”

“But-” my mother tried to start.

“No! You died! You aren’t who you used to be. Inverse magic has made you this way. After you died, I went to Shinjite’s house, then was kidnapped and taken to an orphanage, Mother! I finally got free and I went back to live with the Princess and my NEW family! I have a child, Dad! You weren’t around then, and if I have anything to say about it, you won’t be now!” I cried, tears in my eyes.

My mother gasped, and my father began to reprimand me. I’m hurting her feelings. I’m breaking her heart. How could I do this? I know how I could do this. These are imposters. Fakes. They aren’t real and never will be.

“I want to fight you for real,” I said as I glared at them.

“You want to fight?” he said. “Then fine. We’ll fight.” He readied his weapons and took his stance.

‘Mother’ stared at him in horror. “Get in your stance,” he ordered, and she followed his direction.

We stood there for a moment, but it felt like an hour. We were both waiting to see who would move first.

I began to blow, harnessing the wind’s power, and charged up my hands.

He laughed. What he didn’t know was this wasn’t, by far, my strongest attack.

A small, five foot tornado made entirely of lightning appeared in front of me. Another laugh from my ‘father.’ My emerald eyes flashed with yellow lightning bolts, and I clapped my hands, making the tornado explode into one five times its original size, tearing a hole in the ceiling.

My “mother’s” eyes widened.

I sent the tornado straight for him, knowing that she could take the hit because of her lightning heritage. Instead, she put up a barrier to protect him.

I raced towards them, ready for physical combat. A few moments later I was wiping my father’s blood off of the wind axe and my mother’s off of the lightning one.

I turned around and headed back for Shinjite’s room.

I couldn’t believe it. They were finally gone. My parents were dead. Again. And this time, I was the one who killed them. With their own weapons, nonetheless.

   Last Night (A Poem)
My Posts Last night
I dreamt
Of you...
I dreamt
Of your
Eyes, of
Your lips,
Of your
Handsome self.
I dreamt
Of your
Fantastic lips
Pressing against
My own,
Of your
Perfect eyes
Meeting my
Own with
A blushing
Lover's smile.
You held
Me in
Your arms...
Kept me
Safe from
This terribly
Scary world.
And for
Once I
Was at
Total peace.
And as
I layed
There in
Your loving
Arms, I
Thought to
Myself, this
Is the
One I
Truly love.
Then I
Woke and
Realized that
It was
All true.
I really
Love you.
