Chapter Five
My Posts Chapter Five- Two New Goddesses and… a Baby?!

I walked down calmly to the dinner table; Shinjite and Sekitan were waiting for me. Shinjite was wearing odd garb I’d never seen before.

“Hey, Shinj, what’s with the new clothes?”

She looked up at me with wise, loving eyes. “I have become what I hate.”

I didn’t get it.

“I’m a goddess, and it’s all Kazi’s fault.” She picked up the beautiful necklace that hung around her neck. “This is the former goddess’ necklace.”

I glanced at Sekitan, and my heart twinged with that crush again. A light blush came across my face as our eyes met. I quickly looked away. I can’t love Sekitan. I won’t.

Suddenly, before Shinjite could say another word, she disappeared.

“Quickly,” Sekitan said, “to the chapel. Kazi and Koru have been fighting all day over who shall marry her.”

We took off unanimously and reached the chapel after only a moment.

There, I saw Koru standing at the chapel next to Shinjite, looking at her with loving eyes.

I was enraged. How DARE that SCUM try to marry my SISTER?!

“I do,” Koru said proudly.

“Well I don’t!” Shinjite roared.

I growled, then stopped; surprised that such a noise had come from my chest. I roared loudly, and everything in the chapel stopped. Everyone turned to see the first transformation of the hybrid.

A moment later, Shinjite, screaming, was being carried out of the room by Sekitan. He had to get her away from this. I had become the beast for the first time in my life. I had become the Spark Tiger.

“It hurts, Sekitan! It hurts so much…” Shinjite sobbed.

It only took the beast about two minutes to kill Koru. Then, I transformed back to my normal self, panting and exhausted.
I sat up, confused, and saw huge slashes running across Koru’s torso. The Tiger had ripped him to shreds. His purple blood pooled around him. I stood and looked around for Shinjite. I realized that she hadn’t remained there, and ran out of the chapel, tired, confused, and ashamed.

I found the two a few minutes later. Shinjite was asleep in her room, Sekitan holding her in his lap protectively. He looked up at me with knowing eyes.

“It hurts her,” he muttered. “Whenever you will transform from now on, it will pain her since she is the closest female beast spirit around. The Tiger draws energy from other beasts. You’ve totally drained her of most of her energy. “

I merely stood there, shocked.

“Go to your room. You both need rest.”

I nodded and headed out of the room, still in total shock.

A moment later, I collapsed on my bed and immediately blacked out. When I awoke, I realized I wasn’t in my room. I blinked and tried to move, then realized that someone was holding onto me tightly. I began to panic.

And then I was knocked out.

I don’t remember the events of that evening, but it was one of the most chaotic days of my life.

I awoke again a few hours later in my own bed, alone and confused. I got up and slid on my red and black tank top dress with the two corsets and the poofy bottom, and then meandered out of my bedroom, searching for Shinjite.

Instead of finding her, I ran into Sekai. The moment he saw me, his eyes went wide.

“Hn? What’s wrong, Sekai?” I questioned.

“Er, uhm. Well, nothing, really, just… uhm, surprised to see you?” He stuttered.

Something was amiss.

“Whatever,” I said with a roll of my eyes. “Where’s Shinji?”

He led me right to her. I tackled her and we both broke out into a fit of giggles.

In a few moments, I declared that I was going to go fix lunch, and took orders.

Sekai said, “Did you notice her energy change?”

“What energy change?”

“Never mind, then… I’ll be right back…” Sekai said and raced after me.

He whispered something into my ear.

Then a loud “WHAT?!” rang out that could be heard all over Exile.

I ran into the nearest room and cried until I felt I was going to dry up.

And there was Sekitan to comfort me.
I couldn’t believe what was happening. I disappeared to Shinjite’s room and broke the news to her.

“Shinjite…”

“Yes, Taren-chan?”

“I… Sekai told me…”

“You can tell me anything, you know that.”

“I’m…” I sobbed and my hand wandered over my stomach.

“You’re…?!”

I nodded, and she ran over to hug me. I cried in my sister’s arms for what must’ve been an hour.

“Who’s the…” she asked quietly.

“Well…” I sniffled. “Sekai said… That it’s… Sekitan.”

She stood, shocked and amazed. “You didn’t… You know… Did you?”

I shook my head quickly. “But last night… Something knocked me out…”

Then it all clicked. It was another case of Koru in the trees. And this will be another Kigara.

No. I won’t let her turn out like Kigara. Kazi will never lay eyes on this one.

Something else had felt different that morning.

Later, we were approached by a very, very old woman. She introduced herself as the former Storm Goddess.

Then explained my fate.

I had become the new Storm Goddess overnight by Kazi’s will. He had kicked the woman out of the Pantheon, then placed me in her spot. Word has it, the whole Pantheon will be done like this. I just hope that my new status won’t pose any new problems… And with my life, yeah right.
