My Posts Chapter Seven- Saving Shinjite

We left for the house, being ever so cautious all the way.

We made it home, much to our surprise. We’d expected Hidoi to show up and take her. But he didn’t. And we were lucky.

Life was back to normal, with a little paranoia thrown in.

Shinjite was training Shinri by the lake; Sekai was waiting for me to finish cooking lunch.

“Shinri,” I called out the window with a huge smile. “Come get some lemmy-aide!” That’s lemon-aide for those who aren’t familiar with my ways of speaking.

They paused in their fighting and Shinri raced up to the house, where I was standing, wearing my favorite blue sundress covered partially by my “Don’t make me poison your food” apron. I held a large tray with a few glasses and a pitcher of “lemmy-aide.” He quickly downed two glasses; I handed the tray to him and told him to take some to sister. We beamed at each other.

It was a happy life.

But. Oh, yes. The infamous but appears once again. But while we were gone, a certain someone peeked out of the forest. His name is Raiko, and he’s half inverse, half water, and Shinjite’s love. I’d tell you more about him, but that’s her job, really.

She ran out to hug him, and expressed her love and asked him a million questions.

And from his lips, he uttered words in a voice which was not his own.

“You’re mine,” Hidoi’s voice laughed.

Sekai raced out. “Where’s Shinji?!”

“Out with… Shinri?”

We both looked out to see, not Shinri and Shinji training or enjoying lemmy-aide, but Raiko disappearing with a screaming Shinjite.

“Grab your axes, Taren! It’s time to put all that guardianship training to good use.”

I scampered into the house, running right to the place where my axes always were. They were gone, and in their place, a note rested patiently.

Sekai ran in. “What’s taking so long?!”

I handed him the note. It read: I have taken your axes, meet me at Central Grounds Temple at midnight tonight to get them back.

“Hidoi,” Sekai growled. He then formed two axes from metal and grabbed my arm. “Let’s go.”

We disappeared, following Shinji’s power signal.

Leading us right to Hidoi’s castle in Central.

We busted through the door, and raced through the castle.

We heard Shinjite’s voice screaming behind a pair of huge doors, and began to beat the doors down.

“Why do you hate my people so much?”

“All of your people need to suffer. Thankfully, there are only three left.”

“Please, just torture me. You can do anything you wish, just don’t harm them!”

“Or… Is there another?”

“No!”

“There is, isn’t there?

A slapping sound.

“No!!”

Shinjite whimpers. “…Yes.”

“Who is it?”

“If I tell… promise not to hurt them.”

“It’s not Sekai. Nor Kaji Da or Jinku… Is it that hybrid girl?”

She gasped. “Promise not to hurt them!”

“It is!”

“Promise!”

“She would make a rather fun toy, though…”

“No!”

The door finally began to crack…
