Guess what? I ranked number five in my class with 73.1% but Number four got 73.9% - we're only 0.8% apart! Our marks are so close! It's kind of irritating.

My teacher kept repeating to my mother, "Your daughter could have done better, but it's okay, since it's only mid-year, and it's very different from last year's exams... It's understandable that her marks weren't as high as before."

The reason why everyone's marks are not very good is that our teachers are marking our papers to the O-Level standard - something that we're not used to. I got 68 for English - that's a B3 according to the O-Level standards. You can imagine my surprise when my teacher announced, "The highest mark for English is 68."

Anyway, I'm happy I'm in top five, though I wished I could've been in top three... Guess I'll have to work harder in the end-year exams. ^^
