Ahh... Busy, busy, busy!!! It's the holidays, but my 'extra-curricular activities' are killing me! Even though we haven't actually started anything yet, the schedule is out. We're going to be very busy. Very, very busy.
Remember the exciting news I wanted to tell? Yeah, well... here it is:
I am going to Medan, Sumatra in Indonesia. ^^
I'm going there as a part of Mercy Relief. Mercy Relief is the organisation that helps in times of need. They went to Pakistan recently. So, in a couple of weeks time, I'm going to Medan with them. Some of my friends will be going, too. So I'm not alone. ^^
We're going there to 'help' the orphans of the tsunami. We'll be teaching the little children English. Imagine that. I love English, and all, but I don't exactly speak Indonesian, their language. So... how are we supposed to understand each other? -_-;
I speak Malay, but the Indonesian language is some-what different. Though the person in charge said that the kids will understand Malay, I still have doubts. -_-;
I am so excited! It's a six day trip. I'm going to Medan! ^^ I'm so happy to be able to get out of Singapore... ^^ I'm so excited! I'll be able to learn new things, and impart my knowledge on to those poor children in Medan. ^^
I can't wait! ^^ |
