Rough Beginnings (Part 4)


Same Day

Kristen:"Umm... So Kotsu. How old are you?"

Kotsu:"I'm about five hundred years old."

"What!?"

"Demon World and your world have different time zones. So in human years, I'm about seventeen."

"Oh."

Then it was quiet for a minute. I didn't know what else to say.

"What's wrong."

"Hmm?"

"Something is bothering you. And your feeling unhappy about it. Tell me what it is."

"I rather not talk about. It's not that I don't trust you or anything, but, its just that it makes me upset."

"Don't worry. I just want to help. You seem like someone who should be happy and happy all the time."

I started to blush some more. I felt embrassed, but a little better than how I was feeling before. Truth is, the reason I was feeling upset was because I didn't think Brian liked me as much as he said. Although it was only a feeling, it was strong. So, I opened up.I told Kotsu what I felt. Kotsu helped me cope and made me feel happier. We talked to each other for hours. We got to know each other better. Eventually it was 9:30.

Kristen:"Oh! Kotsu, the party started two hours ago! I have to go!"

Kotsu:"Alright. But do you really think this would be the best time?"

"If I don't do it now I'll probably have more time to think about it. Then I'll probably never break up with Brian. Now, you need to get out my room so I can change my clothes."

I pushed him out the door and changed into a simple outfit. I wasn't staying long. I started to open the door while I said:

Kristen:"Kotsu, after I leave the party, I'm going to the park for some air. Do you want to..."

When I opened the door, I saw Kotsu in a black and blue sweater with a white shirt and black pants. His hair had turned black and his brown eyes were so dark, they could be mistaken for black.
