March Madness (...yes, yes, highly unoriginal)
Yo minna san, how have you all been?
Ah, lots of news for you this time.
For any Yugioh duelists out there, in case you didn't know from this Saturday March 27 until May 1, is the Yugioh Duelist League. It takes place in every Saturday in Toys 'R' Us stores with 4 sessions: 9:30am, 10am, 10:30am, 11am.
Basically what will happen is that you will receive a Season 2 Millenium Manual to track your progress. You can either play the TCG, get lessons, teach beginning duellers or have fun with puzzles and games. You can bring your own deck or buy one on the day. Although if you are already a duelist you probably have a deck of your own. If you're thinking of going, I would suggest contacting your local store on 1800 068 996 or check their website http://www.toysrus.com.au/
As most of you should know, I have a tendency to harp on about conventions and etc. If anyone is able to there is an upcoming one being held at the Australian National University. This is Canberra's first convention and is set to go on April 3. For more details on what's on visit http://www.animeau.org/
Okay, next up is the Kingdom Hearts manga. I know, some of you are like WHAT, THERE'S A MANGA? Trust me, I was surprised when I found out about it. Plus, it reads from left to right like a normal book rather than the traditional manga format of right to left. So far I've only found scanlations of about the first 11 chapters at http://www.lmrmanga.cjb.net/
I've recently gotten into Pretear and Nightwalker, thanks to a few friends for loaning them to me. I'm still currently humming the opening theme to Pretear, which is a good anime, with a good balance of humour and angst. It's a magical girl anime but the transformations scenes aren't corny, the plot is actually decent and the ending if rather climactic. Overall a great watch for a 13 ep series.
The manga scanlations can be found at Boku-Tachi http://www.boku-tachi.net/
Oh, they have the Full Metal Panic novel there as well, which is basically a narrative version of what happened at the end of the series. You'll need Adobe Acrobat to read that.
If anyone is reading the Naruto manga, it is finally picking up again in chapter 209. I won't spoil anything but I definitely did not expect what happened.
In other news that is not-so-interesting, I have capitulated into demands that I dress up so expect me to do so for Animania. I'll be going as Fujiwarano Sai from Hikaru no Go and probably won't get it finished in time for Supanova...if it's finished before then I'll tell you.
That's all I can remember, so unless you want me to continue prattling, which I think is highly unlikely, I'll sign off here.
Later,
Ten-chan
